You and a wonderful family and your daughter is a beautiful little girl. I wish you and your family luck, as the entire world is turning upside down.
Thank you 🙏 you have very kind soul ❤️
The 'little sweetie' is wonderful. If all the people in Russia were like her - NO WAR EVER.
We were in Russia about 3 years ago as American tourists. We found the people to be very warm, polite and genuine. What we saw of the country was beautiful. I never thought I would get to seea Red Square. We had a wonderful time.. I really hope the world comes back to it's senses in my lifetime. .Blesss you and your family.
World? you mean russia, or am i missing something?
I live in Finland (next to russia, latest NATO-member etc.) and i dont share your experiences. Russians are rude and arrogant when they came here as tourists, now they are banned to come in Finland. For decades to come. All the cars with russian plates are banned too. You cannot drive car like that in Finland anymore.
Thank you for your view. I like meaningful criticism. I was a tourist and the border crossing from Finland to Russia was let's say cruel. I now think they only wanted my expenditures. Loved Finland even though I was only there 2 days.

If u are from EU chances are that 99% of the time we learn it that way (movies or cartoons). Since it's one of the easyest languages to learn 😊
@@RSK1387 I remember as a kid (30ish years ago) that I was always told English is very difficult. You're the 2nd person this year that I've talked to languages about and have said English is easy. So cool to have such varying viewpoints :)

Its sad that governments have to continually war with one another! Most Russians are just like this guy and have the same hopes, dreams, and goals that all human beings generally have. Perhaps if we didn’t have corrupt evil governments, societies would be better off and people would find they have much in common with one another and just wish to get along.

This makes me so sad, because it just reminds me of how senseless all of this craziness in the world is. As an American, I can truly say that I don't hate you. I don't want Russia to collapse, and I don't want Russian soldiers to perish just as I don't want any others to perish. You love your family just as we love ours. We just have to demand of our leaders that they end this awful violence.

@@johndoe9200please explain what is so sad..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who likes to see anyone suffer because of the actions of their government? That is unless your idea of entertainment is pulling the wings off of flies. @@galeparker1067
@@galeparker1067 you make me come to a conclusion, that any war is a result of total fail of diplomats of both sides. And diplomats work for politicians. So in case of any war people of both sides should demand from politicians to send their diplomats to negotiate more, considering military power of other side without bluffing and being honest to each other.
As long as there is money to be made with war, it will not stop.

The question Dan is: how long does one have to work a normal job to make a Ruble? It's hard to compare prices with money, you have to compare prices with how it's earned. Love your channel. Missed you when you weren't broadcasting.

Here is an old man with 73years of experience advice, pay off your retirement home before you retire. You have to own it free and clear in a area of the country with low land taxes (rural). Then get you a reliable financial consultant/ wealth manager to help coordinate your finances better. If that is the only thing you do you will be able to retire with social security and be ok. I did just that and it worked for me. It continues to work for me to this very day. The world goes crazy I can still afford my taxes (very low) I still have a place to live. I also garden and live simply but that is for another day.
Thanks for the advice old timer. I'm currently in my mid-50s. This is the same thing my wife and I are doing. With the help of my wife's financial manager, I withdrew some cash from a property and made significant market investments over the previous two years. I won't be able to catch up to her earnings over time, but at least I make more now. Even before I retire, my income has increased by 71%, compared to merely using my 401(k), my retirement savings has grown significantly.
@frederick Please who’s this advisor that guides you?

Inflation is a terrible thing. We have it here in the USA as well. The large round loaf of bread is $6.79 here in California. Butter is over $4.00.
So sad to see this happening every where in the world. We are all being under paid and over charged for the necessities of life. We must all join together as humans and help to take care of each other. Stay healthy.
To do that my friend, we have to get rid of the Empire of Lies. The USA along with the EU. Those two are the root of all problems. Those two are causing all this. A war is a war. The USA and EU have waged wars for decades but this never happened. Now that Russia is standing up against their expansion, all of a sudden the world economy collapses.
Joining a union, if you can, gives you strength.

I can see that in the USA - we are being overcharged for almost every item that Dan shows here in this video. Even the Barilla brand pasta is 170% higher in America. We Americans are being fleeced out of our money.
Same here in New Zealand.
World inflation is everywhere and Canada’s food prices are 4% higher then the USA. I think store are losing big because of self checkout.
That is beasue the minimum wage in Russia is 11,280 p. per month. That is currently $114.49. The prices are driven down because of near slave labor wage costs.
Average wage in Russia is $300 or so. It's relative.
Corporations are out of control and so are their profits. It seems like nobody in government has had the guts to stop them in decades. They say there's inflation, then companies use that as cover to raise prices and shrink sizes of what they sell.
Cost of living is most important when looking at grocery prices. The average annual salary in Russia equates to about $14000 dollars. Prices seem OK or cheap to an American, but its EXTREMELY expensive for a Russian's salary.
14,000 or less is what a lot of older people live on in the US. Imagine trying to exist on that amount here. That's why there are so many elderly homeless people.
Interestingly, this is around the average income of Retirees and Disability Insurance beneficiaries (who paid into Social Security with each paycheck) now in America (without other investment/retirement plans). With inflation and rising prices in all categories, especially food, sadly, very many are suffering. Around the world as well… I so appreciate this video for perspective on the lives of this dear family and their fellow Russians. 🥰
@@kathydishon3557That is why people need to change how they spend and invest their money. Most people spend on necessities first then invest. You want to invert that to invest first then spend on necessities. Obviously it's just a mindset, because necessities comes first. However, do you really need a new car every 3-5 years, name brand clothing, or eat out everyday? No! If a coffee drinker would cut out all coffee except homemade coffee, that would be anywhere from $10-40 a week, it adds up. That is just cutting out coffee and we are already at $40-160 per month. It's easily doable if the will is!
Yes exactly ppl aren't taking into account what average Russians make, way less than Americans! Dan and Susie are making more than average from UA-cam.
That $14000 becomes to
14000/365 ×101 = 3874 Rubles per day, so at those prices, groceries appear very low cost compared to other western world prices.
However if taking not the lowest income cases but average wages, for Australia that is closer or greater than AU$60000, or about US$40000 or near 11000 per day in Rubles. Good jobs get easily double that, my engineering job paid over AU$120000 years ago, and many trades worker, such as builders or machine operators, can be easily double that again at present.
Milk at supermarket brand is around AU$3.10 per 2 L, premium or special brands over AU$4 for 2 L, eggs range from AU$3.50 for cage layed, to AU$6.00 Free range hens per dozen (12) large eggs (700g per 12). Bread ranges from around AU$3 low cost loaf to over AU$8 for specially breads, the list goes on and on, but at typical wages the prices are not impossible, at current cost of living there are too many struggling admittedly due to current inflation, but that is driven more by life luxuries that so many just MUST have, and housing mortgage or rent costs than mere basic food needs.
I have no idea how this showed up in my suggested videos, but I'm glad it did. This was super Interesting to me. Thanks
Enjoyed the tour of your grocery store, and interesting to see price comparisons-thanks.
Russian man has more $1 coins than any American.
Go back to school 👍👍
😅 so true!!
Whoa! Careful there Dan, them coins can become contraband overnight similar to gold bullion in the previous era.
I would stock up and buy extra groceries if I were you Dan . Prices at the grocery store will rise once the devaluation of the ruble circulates through the system
the ruble should be up there with the dollar, it is worth a penny right now
In 2021 I bought pasta at frescho here in BC Canada. It was 1 dollars for 400gram bag. Now in 2023 its 2.15 dollars for the same 400gram bag of pasta. That's over double the price.
Everywhere is getting expensive.
But what we should also be looking at is food shortages and civil order.
From watching Travelling with Russel in Russia there are no food shortages in 2023. Civil order is Russia is normal.
Now look at civil order in the USA. Its collapsing. Business are leaving whole cities due to crime. Theres flash mobs everywhere. Riots over PS5s in New York. If you watch Polar Report good shortages are all over the USA.

100%
Virgin olive oil should be the only oil ppl use.
Lard is also a very good way to cook meat or preserve it.

Thank you for showing us the prices in Russia. There is not a lot that can be bought for $1 in the US now that is good quality. Stores that sell things are being very greedy and are working toward replacing people who work in the stores with computers and robots. There is a push to eliminate farming of all kinds and to switch over to lab grown meat, and other proteins such as crickets. There are a lot of chemicals in our food, water, and in just about everything we and our animals need so you have to be careful what you buy. Sending love and peace from the US...
unfortunately, this works the same way in Europe. we buy from robots, we work at the checkout during payment, they sell us low-quality products at high prices. multinational companies are trying to overturn everything. they want to feed us crickets and beetles. we live in a crazy world.
Europe especially is declining in poverty, it does not matter whether you are jobless or not here-
Jobless people receive so many benefits that the end result is the same as working a minimum wage job 40hrs a week, it is astonishing.
@@killectronewday8585 aha, west europe, not east europe
Remember he's comparing to US Dollars that's not how people in Russia get paid. The US dollars ridiculously strong against their money right now. So the reality is most of what he was showing you was out of affordability for the average Russian family.
@ashleyburbank3129 nope. The difference between Russian basic income and Americans is just around 30 percent. Might be lesser in Moscow. While the difference in basic needs prices is more than twice, though.
Thank you for making this video. It is very interesting to see the prices in Russia compared to here in Indiana, USA. Many items were about the same price, other seemed much cheaper in Russia. I love that Sati is helping you with shopping!
if you watch a video from another Russian city, the prices will be different as well
No offense but thats an understatement the prices ARE WAY CHEAPER. A 25-50 cent loaf of bread? 1$ for butter? 25 cents for a liter of milk. You will never prices close to that in USA or Canada.
@@CanadianPrepper Here's how I'd like to measure how things cost to a citizen in actuality:
A loaf of bread in Russia on average is 100 rubles. (1$)
A loaf of bread in the USA on average is 2.50$.
The average wage in Russia is 51,200 Rubles yearly. (520$)
The average wage in the USA is 67,521$
So if we do the math, 1 loaf of bread is 0.18% of a Russians yearly wage.
1 loaf of bread is about 0.0037% of a Americans wage.
So, in a sense the average Russian is about 5 times poorer than the average American.
So things in Russia are quite expensive for the people, compared to an American.
Your English is getting really good. Keep up the work and keep these videos coming.
Your English is very good. Thank you for showing us around.
Thanks! Hi, prices all over the world have been pushed up by inflation, here in US I bought a French Loaf of bread and it was $4.64 for a single loaf. I can appreciate that your family cannot just buy anything you want but it is the same here. I am sure after the dollar crashes that equivalency will return to our money systems and then there will be no one that can afford to eat. ps. we pronounce the RUBLE as ROOBLE and I believe that is world wide. Jim Z - Fan
They're Russian. Seems we've been pronouncing it wrong.
Thank you for your little story and your tips 🙏❤️. Best wishes my friend, all the best to you
Printer toner cartridges, here in the USA, you practically have to take out a loan to get all four colors.
printer ink is such a scam. I threw out my printer in 2016 and i just used my company's office printer for the few things I need to print. Now, i don't mind paying for printing at officemax. Anything to avoid paying $$$ for ink that is always running low when I need it. One aspect that really irks me is that when an inkjet printer is starting up, it goes through a startup sequence that USES ink! so every day I was starting up the computer and printer, it was using up my ink.
Hi Dan and Susi and Sati, thanks for showing us your local market again, I heard about the Krasnodar area having some bad wildfires today, I hope you guys and your family and friends are OK.
Thank you , we are ok
This video is AWESOME! I didn't know the difference between dollars and rubles until you presented it. Thank you!
I love your videos and I hope you and your family are doing well! Thank you for sharing your story and sharing your country’s lifestyle! After seeing you and your family, I pray that our governments are able to make peace with each other!
Butter in UK can be £5 (625 roubles) for the same amount and milk is about £1.50 ( 190 roubles) Greetings from an English guy, currently in China. Milk here is about 150 roubles and butter 600 roubles (40 yuan) By the way, if you enjoy old American films, who was your favourite star?
Normal butter in the UK is around £2 (200g) and you can get 2lt of milk for about £1.70. I don't know where you shop but they're ripping you off.
@@rehabwales Well the butter is exactly £2 for 240g in Aldi. But bear in mind that you are getting 20% of it in form of hydrogenated oil. Also in Aldi you can buy 300 ml of double cream for £1.15. Its 52% fat and making butter myself I can get about 180g of butter out of it. Plus half a glass of buttermilk. I also make my own bread that cost me about 50 pence per kg and grow some of my veggies. Shrinkflation and food adulteration is on the rise, so I say: cut the middleman! Work less, buy less, pay less tax and put the deflationary pressure on the bastards that printed all this money to line their pockets.
butta in the US be $4.56 -$6 @@rehabwales
Great Britain is now run by an asian cartel personally i would prefer to live in free country like Russia
This guys been shopping in Waitrose in London lol@@rehabwales
Little one is such a cutie pie! Such a great age man! Best of luck to you and yours
Thank you for the information.😊
That fancy loaf would be about 5.99 here in Washington. The grocery stores here are making record profits and basically stealing our money.
You should visit Switzerland sometimes...the beef price goes here to 95$ per kg.
As an American : "Oh wow, its so cheap, I'de love to be able to eat a delicious meal for $3!"
Also as an American: "Wait.. you're working HOW LONG for that?!"
Best wishes to the Russian people from a Polish American! As a child I looked forward to our countries cooperating and working together, it breaks my heart that we are so divided. We could accomplish so much if we didn't have leaders on a war path. Could conquer the universe perhaps.
Question ..do know how long an American citizen has to work to have a normal life!?! ..
Russia at this point is the best at everything .. prices..living ...etc .. Americans are living a nightmare compared with Russia
@@madalinmaximilian6899 keep telling yourself that.
Trump❤ will work with Russia when he is back in office. I just hope we haven’t destroyed our country before he gets re-elected.
The average Russian males about $150 a week. so 3 dollars is 1/50 their weekly income.
@AdamsOlympia
Not to mention that only Moscow, St Petersburg, and maybe Vladivostok are actually worth living in for the average American. There's actually paved roads there for once, and Russia is only Christian in appearances. High divorce rates, and domestic violence shows that image to be a Potemkin village
I really enjoy your videos
Oh My Word !!!! I have not visited with you and your family for a while and I am so impressed with your english. I was with you since our beginning. I remember how shy your wife was. She is no longer camera shy and your little girl is absolutely adorable. I think I need to come to Russia to do my food shopping. Our prices are out-of-control.
Good to see you all! Sati is so cute! Happy to see Sati! Dan, everything has gone up in price in US. Food and gas especially. Enjoyed your video! Best wishes! Many Blessings to you all. 🙏❤❤❤😊
Wow, in Canada groceries are about 4 times more it seems. Though I think we are only around 70 cents to a US dollar... Maybe even less these days.
Love your family, all the best 🙂
Yea but their annual income is far less than Canada's, Imagine making 70k annually but in Rubbles and then it starts to make sense.
Adorable little girl you have. God bless you and family.
Thank you Dan all the best from Canada eh!
