What I love about this film is how brutally honest it is, especially this scene everyone thinks they'd a badass in a situation like that but if you're honest with yourself you wouldn't you'd run too.
Just watched this movie again after seeing it the first time 10 years ago and I realized the thing that hit me the most the first time I watched it: the absolute suffocating loneliness and desperation for connection. I didn’t know that that’s what dragged me in so much when I first watched it, but now I’m seeing how much I still have in common with my 13-14 year old self, and how little but how much everything changed. One thing I think might remain the same 10 more years, 20, 30 years in the future, how alone I feel everyone is but most people find ways to hide that from themselves. I can’t anymore.

Yes. I remember watching this at a young age alone in the evening. It was actually a school day and the following day I needed to go to school. My mother was telling me to go to sleep. After this, my life just warped but I remember how this movie left a mark on me and I watched then years later. I also think this way, how different was years back and whether I am the same person or another person, whether those memories were true or not.
From 0:00 to 3:30 I think of a person or group prepping for s final stand the once 3:30 hits the fight has begun one by one they slowly fall to the horde taking as many down as they can until the last survivor is still standing overrun and out of options the survivor gets a grenade and runs at the horde without fear.

Lmao I just realized, In that universe the infected are not really zombies but rather extremely aggressive people, they can die due to blood loss and starvation. What I wanna know is exactly how did the infected manage to survive long enough to starve instead of collasping due to heart failure when they are constantly so angry to the point of naturally being extremely aggressive?

The scene where the MC in the second film runs away leaving his loved ones to die, is one of the most powerful in cinema history IMO. Especially when all the zombies run after him and he barely escapes. One of the best intro scenes ever.
This song is by far the best when it comes to the word zombie, the slow build up as if someone is turning, the peak as if chaos is everywhere, and the ending a soft eery melody as if its putting you to sleep to witness it again in the day

I haven't seen this movie in years, bumped into this music and damn, I'd forgotten how good it was.. The music makes you want to RUN, RUN, and keep RUNNING, from the horror that is trying to break into your house, perfect encapsulation of horror, I don't know who the composer was but BRAVO!
This reminds me of the final campaign mission of Halo: Reach. It has that bleak,solem vibe the mission has with the only objective being "survive" as Noble Six decides to make his last stand against the onslaught of The Covenant before eventually being overwhelmed but if he's going down,he'll go down fighting and take as many of them as he can with him.
I love halo reach but that game has a sad but badass ending. This song leaves no room for hope. No super soldier fighting to death vibes here, just the inevitable gruesome death by rage induced zombies.

For some reason, this song reminds me of my father. He was a cop, and he use to be very paranoid and very protective. He would say _”Son, you don’t understand because you’re a child. You won’t understand true evil until you’re older. You don’t know what real evil lurks out there in the world”_ My dad had a real passion for justice because he had a strong hatred for real evil. Later on during my 30’s, my dad opened up about all the most traumatic experience he saw. This song reminds me of his trauma and the development for hatred for true evil.
