- In this episode of the route learning series, we take a look at the extended Chatham Main Line from Dovetail Games, and take a full journey along the route from Ramsgate in Kent through to London Victoria station. We follow the timetable of train 1P56, the 17:20 Southeastern service from Ramsgate, with our stops along the way including Dumpton Park, Broadstairs, Westgate-on-Sea, Birchington-on-Sea, Herne Bay, Chestfield & Swalecliffe, Whitstable, Faversham, Teynham, Sittingbourne, Newington, Rainham, Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Bromley South, and finally London Victoria.

@@NotDavidTrains He probably bought these assets from approved third party devs that Dovetail allows them to them to make content for the game. Usually payed content.
Just a note, in the 375 you can use the computer screen on the left to set up the destination as well. It can be quicker than scrolling with the F7 and F8 keys. Great video as always :)

Like a few others, just realised that you've returned.
What I like the best about your simmulations, is that the exterior views are possible.
We are not hanging off the sides of the cab or walking along the roof.

Is it just me or does the audio from the train sound like it’s echoing or doubled up?
I think it’s supposed to sound like that because of the echo but I could be wrong
These routes are nice and complete, unlike TSW where they are only partially done routes.
Very well done. With apologies for extreme nitpicking, the road going over the platforms at the country end of Bromley South station (Kentish Way A21), is not a bus route. Overall though, I'm very impressed.
I have been looking for a route including the ramsgate margate part etc of the chatham main line, seeing as i commute on it everyday, i beg you tell me which mod this is? great video btw! love it
Hi just wanted say fantastic video my grand father worked at Ramsgate Station and he was Station master at Dumpton park my God Father works at margate he is station master there now he has been there since the late 60s
I think it would be great to see a release of these scenarios as I would love to recreate what I see in this video

At some point I’d love to branch out and cover routes in other countries such as Romania. I don’t have any Romanian routes or trains though at present, so we’ll have to see what happens. :)
I know that more routes have released since but since the one i mentioned is my local line (i trainspot on it the most) i could be of expertise. I know that you've done vids of foreign routes in the past so i was just asking, is all. Thanks for the answer though!

Hey there ! I have the exact same track 😀you need to own the Armstrong power house track enhancement then go to alanthompsonsim and get the upgrade version 👍hope this helps you out.

I've never been into trains but recently on my way to work I looked at an explanation of railway signals, and immediately got enamoured with the concept of actually *driving* a train. It's quite cool to see a POV of what the driver sees on my morning commute! Rainham -> Victoria
ive got a cross country scenario nearly ready for the steam workshop following the real life timetable of 1G05 want to see if you will give it ago its on the derby-nottingham stretch of the midland mainline with one fictional stop at beeston due to pathing issues i had with the scenario be great on your channel for a route learning video ptg
Great video! I was just wondering what graphics mods you use and their configurations? I have the AP weather pack which makes a huge difference but your game just looks more realistic, is there something else that I don't have?

I’m doing alright thanks! I had a busy year last year and didn’t really have time to commit to UA-cam. I’m hoping to get back to making videos again at some point this year - both PTGRail videos on this channel, and travel vlogs on the PTGTravelling channel which I want to start this year
Catching up on more of your route learning videos, and I'm really enjoying them. It's a shame I didn't see these when I used to play MST, but I'm going to start playing the newer versions now.
SE sometimes take 465's to Dover so maybe a rolling stock idea for when/if you make a video on the Dover branch. Great video as always!
Hopefully we can get the full southeastern area in one map in TSW. Would love to be able to drive Full length Javelin services

He has already said in previous videos that he isn’t taking requests. I’m not too sure if he is now but from his more recent previous videos he has mentioned that he isn’t taking requests right now.
Damian is right that I’m not taking requests at present - but as your edited comment makes note of, I am hoping to cover the Dover route in a future video! :)
Hello, is it possible to merge two routes
No setup on the TMS screen in the cab. You do know you can set your driver code and log into the TMS screen on your left hand side?
Edit: In the description you missed out Margate
I didn’t realise the TMS had been simulated, hence it was missed. It’s not the end of the world, but I will remember it for next time :)

The main DLCs I’m using here are the Chatham Main Line route - London to Dover and Ramsgate, and the Armstrong Powerhouse Class 375/377 enhancement pack available from armstrongpowerhouse.com :)

TSW3 looks like absolute rubbish. Watched the stream; still stuttering, awful foliage and the lightening is only about 10% better. Plus Germany and US get new full routes, and we only get a 40 mile extension to SEHS.
I certainly plan to get TSW3
You can set the destination on the MITRAC computer to the left in the cab instead of the F7 and F8 keys

Are the signs letting the driver know changes in gradient or is that something they need to learn in advance?
Love your video , especially southern and southeastern videos, is there any routes that cover the East Coastway from Hastings or Ore or any towards Ashford from Eastbourne on TS classic?
