Oh, I do so love the big fluffies! I will forever be disappointed that I came to the Fude party after the Kazan series had come and gone. It just looks like the perfect set.
Sets are a bit of a dodge, because you are always better off getting the specific item you need, rather than being told which one you want in a set. My Japanese & German knives are a weird collection, but *exactly what you need*, without any …
Yeah it’s tough because as Allison said sometimes you’re limited by the set, but I understand the appeal of having one collection and using it. I’m still eyeing that Zen Series like a hawk, but I could probably be ok with a cheek and eyeshadow brush.
@@aliciaarcher I did get the Zen powder brush and am a bit meh about it. It’s beautiful, but feels more like squirrel hair than the plush bounciness of the FO series, and that I was therefore kind of expecting. There were a couple of other brushes in the series I thought I would like, but they seem to be the most popular ones and are sold out.
@@elissacox4291 that’s interesting! I guess why the FO series is unique. Because as you said it does have that plushy feel to the bristles. I would imagine since the Zen series feels more like squirrel, that the pick up is similar?
@@aliciaarcher the Zen series hairs are more sleek and slippery like squirrel, but the powder brush individual hairs are a little stronger feeling than squirrel. The Zen powder brush and the FO 9 seem to have similar sized ferrule width and length and similarly packed amounts of hair, but the hairs do behave differently. The Zen hairs remain more tightly bundled and move together in a bunch, as opposed to the FO hairs that bloom an astonishing amount if allowed to do so and are more airy. So it lacks the same bunny tail puffiness. I’d say the hairs being prone to remain together helps the Zen fox hair pick up a bit more product than grey squirrel, and make it fairly on par with the FO powder brushes, but application is less immediately diffused with the Zen bristles compared with the automatic diffusion that happens with the airy FO brushes
I don't often use a finishing powder, but I do enjoy fude gazing! 🤩 Every detail is so beautiful. If I had all the money in the world to spend on whatever, I would go shopping for beauty and textiles in Japan. I would be shipping so many 📦 home!
Always amazing to listen to you talk about brushes and how to use them. There are so many different kinds of brushes and brush hair and you are so knowledgeable!! I could listen for hours. Thank you!! 😊❤️
Same here! I’ve been kind of neglecting my squirrels lately. This video is what I needed to break those bad boys out and let them dance across my face! Thank you Alicia!
OMG you are so cute and I love how well you articulate the reasons and benefits with each brush! This has made me want to subscribe - looking forward to seeing more of what you share!
I could watch you talk about fude all day! Thank you for the reminder that what will be best for each person will be different based on each one’s preferences and techniques. I discovered the softness of gray squirrel bristles from you, but I opted to dip my toes first with the Yano 06 for under eye application and Chikuhodo MK-11 for powdering on-the-go. My next investment will be a bigger powder brush, and this video has been extremely helpful at narrowing my wish list. ❤
The Chikuhodo FO Series has been in my cart for a few weeks now, I think the damage is going to happen as soon as I finish this video. Btw, you should be an official Fude ambassador.
Settled in con mi café to watch my girl break down these Fude brushes! I really want to get more into the other hairs like sable, fox, that red squirrel… oh my!! Where to begin? This was excellent thank you for sharing this magnificent collection 🎉
Excellent video! as a fude enthuasist, it was a joy seeing all of your beautiful powder favourites! all excellent choices, I can't wait for more fude content.
Another great video! I totally agree the Yano Series brushes are totally underrated. I have the set & can confirm all of them are high quality & so luxurious. The large Powder brush is absolutely lush.
I was just looking for a new fude powder/finishing brush, and there was your video, Alicia. I think I am going with the Sonia G face pro to add to my Sonia G collection. Thanks for reviewing all these great brushes.
Yay!!!🎉 I love Fude videos. Thanks to Michele Wang, I use Guerlain Meteorites or the Chantecaille finishing powder all the time. These brushes are great for finishing off this process. I have numerous of the brushes that you just spoke about, and you are the inspiration for getting most of them. Thank you.😊😊😊
I was so happy to see that I proudly owned more than a handful of the brushes you mentioned 😅 sadly though the ones you said we’re out of stock we’re in fact discontinued 😢 I’m glad I grabbed them just b4 they left … I completely get when you said red squirrel is exquisitely soft … I got to buy the Koyudo year of the rabbit plum blossom set & I wasn’t ready 😩😭 & red squirrel is not only super soft but also rare ! Also I wanted to say that I’m obsessed with the T1 large powder brush ❤ it’s so good & really super soft & I like it more than my rephr ones you also mentioned … lastly with squirrel brushes … I have a few of them & while I like them they’re just too fragile 😢 & I hardly use them 😩 also squirrel hair brushes also differ in hair types such as ash & blue squirrel but I loved every second of this video 😊❤
@@aliciaarcher it’s a set of three brushes 😍🥰 one face brush & 2 eye shadow brushes all in red squirrel with stunning “chop stick” designs with the cutest bunnies ! Exquisite indeed 😍👌🏼❤️
Thank You again Alicia for the time you worked on this subject. If i have to choose "one" brush, i would pick up the Suqqu blush brush (old natural version), i bought in triple. I have the face brush too, and i prefer the cheek one's; so soft, so good at building soft color with barely invisible edges. Nevertheless, i think this type of election depends of the technic and the "touch" of the user, of the make up artist; more or less stiffer, more or less angle.. it depends. Personally i preferred, as a make up artist, having more forgiving tools in my kit (to adapt to every person) and more specific and technical tools for my personal use... cause who knows better my face than me ? If i had an advice to give to non professional make up lovers; by what you think you would use, cause if you choose brushes only for ethical or technical reasons, you won't use as often you think. As Alicia told us, it's an investment, y'd better believe her ! Enjoy !
I'm wondering what would work best with my original bare minerals foundation? I bought a Sonia g and although lovely - to soft for what I wanted. I'm thinking gsn 2 chickuhodo?
Hi Alicia please do a video highlighting Sonia G's eye shadow brush basics for the transition, crease, outer v, inner corner, lash line, brush for shimmer shades, and face brush basics (powder, bronzer, blush, highlighter, finishing). Thank you! ❤❤
Great video, Alicia! Thank you. Large powder brushes are my favorite. I wrote to Sonia G awhile back asking for a La Mer-type shaped brush from her line. She said that was a great idea. 😊
I've been slowly buying from rephr and Fude Beauty, but can't bring myself to use/sully anything 😭 I think my least favorite style is angled face. My favorites are the teardrop shaped face.
LMAO @ ❤Ms. Archer & The P8❤. I seriously love my P8, my jaw literally dropped when I unboxed it, and again when I swept it across my face. I have the Kiwami set, but the P8 holds a special place in my ❤. Muahahaha 😅.
Thank you… thank you, Alicia. I owned some of the brushes you mentioned… really missing out on Suqqu powder brush, although I owned the Suqqu cheek brush (because of Lisa Eldridge ❤). Hey, how about laaarge eye brushes next… and the versatility of the brush for cheek brush….? Always lovely videos!!! ❤❤❤
Amazing!! I love all of your videos (obviously) but lately I’ve been watching all of your fude videos because I’m building up my face brush collection. Your videos have been so helpful and key for me. Thank you so much!! A powder brush for setting foundation is my next purchase. When you say finishing, does that mean a pressed powder? Also, thank you for all of your detailed brush videos!! They're so helpful in finding what I want. 😊
Hi Alicia , I’m looking for a brush to pick up the powders like the Charlotte tilbury glowgasm face palette . Would any of the goat hair brushes you mentioned be a good fit ? I can’t pick up any of that bronzer with my current brushes !
I blame you for all the $$$ I have spent on Fude LOL! Just kidding, I so appreciate your videos, explaining the differences so I can make better purchases. Luckily, my bday is next month LOL!
I can watch this without being spellbound by the pull of the fluffy powder brush! They do not have my heartstrings...BUT I like fluffy things so I like this video

Tragically, I ended up using a different code (they do a ‘you already have a higher discount’ analysis, simply because I got a higher discount than your older ‘KinkySweat5’-code, I’m horrified that my DHL arrives tomorrow & I could have used your new code & given you your proper dues. 💢I’m so sorry💢 I’m going to probably pop off again, next month
