Fude Beauty was so kind in sending me these brushes, and thought it would be helpful to share their specs and uses! I gladly wanted to film with them because you know I LOVE A BRUSH VIDEOOOOO! Thank you fam for all of your support! None of these opportunites would not happen without you, and I am beyond grateful for all of you!
Keep in mind that if you’re allergic to animal hair, then these will be a no HOWEVER, Chikuhodo does have a synthetic hair line that is supposed to be outstanding. I would like to try those myself.
In regards to the brushes mentioned here, there are all powder brushes, but can be used with any of your cheek products. Ideally if you want more precison, then a smaller brush will fill that role. I will take photos of how they look pre and post wash!

Yay! I'm so glad you ended up getting some of these! I was curious to know your opinion. And I look forward to you getting the rest of the Homare series in the future. I have the KZ-4 and KZ-5 (the smaller blush and candle-shape) brushes out of the face ones because they were the only shapes I knew I'd get a lot of use from. Since I ended up not liking the FO-5 silver fox eye brush, I'm a bit wary about buying any of the Kazan eye brushes until I see more reviews on them. But feeling how soft the kazan hair is tempts me enough to want to buy more, even if I end up not using them. The grandilo wood is SO much more stunning in person than I expected. But I think silver fox is still my absolute favorite natural hair type. I hope Chikuhodo expands the line with more shapes. Or that other brands will start using that hair too. The Koyudo ones are tempting but the handles look so stubby and I prefer thinner handles.
I know you're proably leaning in to the mic, but it so looks like your gesturing "speak to the puff" and I just love it. You always make me smile. All of the brushes look beautiful, congrats for all your success.

These brushes combined with the new camera created a supreme viewing experience. I could see the movement of the hairs on your skin. That’s a great selling tool.
Sees this video pop up, passes out, dies, watches three more brush videos that I've probably already watched, and adds F-8 and a couple of eye brushes (one goat and one squirrel) and a squirrel/goat highlight size that I feel will be lovely under the eyes to my brush collection. I was so happy to see your March discussion of Chikuhodo brushes and the F-8, because I've seen you use it a billion times, and it feels like the right size for me. HOWEVER, the magenta mak-ie brush. I'm asking my wife for it for our anniversary. Because it is GORGEOUS and special and at a price point that feels more comfortable as a gift. I actually grew up showing dogs in Japan (and the US) multiple times a year and goodness. I know these brushes are so, so expensive, but compared to the scissors they make in Japan for grooming dogs? They're a steal. (I mean, not ALL of them, but most. That's my justification and I'm sticking to it. I mean, I still have a pair my Mom got in 1987. STUNNING.). Maaayyybbbbeeeee once the world is less crazy, you could go to Japan and do a series of brush vlogs with Chikuhodo? No bigs, right?

Those brushes are so beautiful, I definitely want to buy some of them. Since I've bought my first Wayne Goss brushes in squirrel hair (old collection) I never got back to my old brushes (that were quite nice actually). I have a very sensitive skin and hand made Japanese brushes in squirrel hair are like an angel kiss on my face and eyes. And when you use them, they feel so precious and are a total game changer in makeup application. These kind of brushes worth every penny and I'd rather invest in them than in a lot of other beauty products. And if you take care of them they will last forever. So I ordered from Fude tonight that beautiful Chikuhodo Z-8 & that beautiful Kazan- K-Z6 eye brush that I knew I had to have.. were there more that I wanted, yes, but I am so over the moon to be transitioning to these extra special brushes. Once you get used to brushes of this caliber, it’s just a game changer. I’m a groomer and my best shears are also made from Japanese artisans. It makes what you’re doing so much more enjoyable when you have superb tools. Life is short, enjoy every moment. It’s worth it.

MAC werey first brushes. Little did I know what the real hair brushes were doing for me. 20 years later they are still amazing. Really started my makeup path in 2016 and am a firm believer that the right tools make a difference. I ended up with a lovely natural hair eye brush selection from ESUM. In watching and learning I felt more overwhelmed by all the choices. In 2019 I got my hands on Beautylish x Chikuhodo collaboration for 2018. That powder brush was amazing. A few Sonya G brushes later I love my collection. I have the silver fox on my current wish list but am having a hard time thinking of replacing my loved MAC blush brush. I love all your brush videos! You do way better on pronunciation than I ever could. Congrats on the Affiliation program! I have a feeling more amazing brushes are on their way 😌

I guess things like these can happen. I’ve unsubscribed from Michelle because of inconsistency. She once glorified sheen/radiant setting powder such as Koh gen doh but story was different with the new hourglass. She also once lambasted Dior Make-Up for being not up there when she showed her collection, but then, recently, when Dior sent her PR, the story has changed again. Same thing with the Ilia foundation that she once said pilled, but after PR, foundation is now her favorite. I know she’s a good person and has a very likable personality. Just not consistent with her views. Or maybe it has evolved

I couldn't do my makeup without Chikuhodo! They are hands down the softest, most beautiful brushes and the Z Series eye brushes are truly the only ones I use that make my eyeshadow NOT skip on my puffy tired eyes in the mornings!! I dream of owning the big face brushes though😍😍😍I'm not quite there yet, they're much more expensive then the eye brushes!!

I have the Chikuhodo F-04 cheek and highlight brush and it is now my favorite brush even over my Sonia G brushes, which I love! My Chikuhodo F-05 eye shadow brush cane today and so did the 3 BK Beauty brushes I purchased. I got the 101 foundation brush, the 106 large buffer brush and the tiny smudge it brush, I believe it’s the 104.
After watching Tina's video, I just purchased 4 Fude brushes from CD Japan. Ordered them last week (Thursday?) and got the shipping email today. They were slightly less expensive and free shipping. My birthday is next month so, since Rona ruined all my birthday plans, I thought I'd treat myself. Can't wait to try them! Thank you for the informative video (as always).❤😘

Popping back to say that my F-8 and three other brushes just arrived. And nothing in the world (except perhaps my dog and cat's bellies) prepared me for the softness of the F-8. I really love the squirrel and goat blends. I really love goat. But I might have just spent 10 minutes rubbing the brush against my face and then wondering if my skin has ever looked better with powder products? I am so much about enjoying the process of makeup that it was such a worthy splurge and feels so comforting. THANK YOU FRIEND!!!

So. I am torn between the fox one, the p8, and that new one with the brown handle that you got ! So far I am using the wayne glass airbrush and love the look it gives its just way too small for whole face...which would you recommend ???

you should do your favorite brushes of all time. I have a smaller face and sensitive skin my bronzer always looks muddy which Chikuhodo should i pick?
What Chikuhodo brushes would you recommend for a very light application of blush and bronzer? I typically use the Rephr 22 for bronzer and the 24 for blush, but I need either squirrel or fox to use with my normal summer shades of bronzer and blush, when I typically have a much darker tan. Thanks to Covid I’m still medium (instead of medium tan) right now, but I really want to use these products.

Which of these would you say is the MOST dense? I am looking for a dense brush for presses powder foundation and like the feel of a dense, firm, short bristled brush but want it to be soft to the touch.
Gosh I love all of these!! I bought this year’s “Year of the Tiger” brush and it’s SO SO beautiful. Reading some reviews on Fude Beauty, people mention not wanting to use the squirrel brushes right on top of their buffed in liquid foundation or blush/bronzer. Do you know if that’s a thing? I imagined using my beautiful squirrel brush for a light wash of powder over my foundation, concealer etc. I hope it’s okay to do that!

Out of curiosity ... did you have to pay any customs or duties? I want to place an order but wondering if I should jumpstarts do it through Beautylish. Love your brush videos! I own a few of the Chikuhodo z series brushes ... and I want more 😂
I know what you mean 😊 Chanel, Bobbi Brown used to be some of my favorite brushes, but now that my skin/face knows natural hair brushes, can’t go back. If I try to used my old brushes, my skin knows it :)
