A friend and me were in the audience of this gig. Stereolab were supporting Pavement and blew everyone away...
this video was in my recommended on pavement's cover of the killing moon
Weren't the nineties great?
It's such a massive, beautiful noise. Never growing tired of it. Happy to have seen them a couple of times back then. RIP Mary.
An unbelievably great band, I never tire of seeing them live. Such class, energy, ability and style.
Jenny Ondioline, the drummer is boss. Over ten minutes brutal kick-drum machine. My hats off
My favourite song by them.
mary and laetitia , effortlessly cool
Thanks for posting this. Words cannot describe how much I love Stereolab.
I wish i could live in the music of Stereolab.
I saw them a little later that week in Prague. 25 years on, it's still up there in the top five sets I've ever seen from a band (and I'd be well into four figures on that, probably getting close to five). I felt like I'd been transported to another planet (and no stronger drug than a pint or two of great Czech beer and their music involved)..
why lie to us about how many shows you've seen? nobody gives a shit
I heard (it's been told) that Czech beer has magical properties...
Great footage. Stereolab were the business. Always great to see the much missed Mary Hanson.
Just amazing. Was hoping to find a Stereolab gig that took me back to when they were in this zone. Saw them a lot in the 90s.
Best live group I ever saw. they played a white noise outro at the end of one of their Glasgow Garage sets, it was just stunning. I have never seen Mary so happy and confident in her playing, a sad loss.
Mary, los la la te extrañan, no son iguales sin ti ❤❤😓😓

a year and nothing here about the one of the best band in the history of rock culture ?
Gotta check in at least once a year.
well albums 1 and 2
Jesus, I miss these guys live. I saw them so many times in the 90's in NYC. They were fantastic! One of the best bands ever!
Only got to see 'em once. Lalapalooza in Mt. View, CA. Another great find on the secondary stage.
I was lucky they came to Dallas often and I went every single time. The last concert I saw was after Mary died and I half cried through the performance. They just had someone play her harmonies on a horn.
Kinslayer Author yeah, I remember seeing them after Mary past away and it was very somber
Only got to see them once at Irving, but it was a great show. Saw the BK Steel reunion show and that was great too.
saw them at coachella 2004 and then fifteen years ago to the day as of a half hour from now, when they played the fillmore with hot chip.
seeing this now after so many years since buying super electric on vinyl made me re-new my love for the band..good show and nice to see Mary play as good as she did.
What a fantastic setlist. Saw them twice around this time and the shows were so beautiful, loud and hopeful.
Ive watched this so many times. I love it
Beautiful just beautiful. What a band!
I was just graduating highschool. It would be a few years more before I discovered them. Parsec hooked me instantly. The first time I heard a thumb of it was on the first commercial for the new VW bug.I remember thinking how much I wanted to give Mary a big glowing hickey.
Gem of a document - thank you for capturing + sharing The Groop in all their glory. Wish I had made it to this one! -regards 🩶🩶
Transona five was awesome!
Gives me goosebumps!
They're like crack. I haven't tried crack but I've been hooked on the groop for over 30 years and the addiction is more intense than ever.
Zeitgeist of its' time...these guys
Every song is amazing but that opening Farfisa organ on Tempter is so sweet!
I saw this line up at lollapalooza in august in nyc at governors island 1994 i just got a beer and i saw them about to start i was right there at the stage and holy fin shit i was amazed and still am forget the other bands that were playing the main stage this was the best live performance yet by far at the show that day i fell in love with them right then i wish i had a video of that day
una de las mejores bandas de toda la historia de la humanidad !!!
This is awesome, thanks for the upload. Cheers.
Can't wait to see them for my first time this year
Dork and cool, no chops, but heart. One finger synth. The Lab in Stereo.
I'm not sure I'd say no chops. That rhythm section is TIGHT. Andy Ramsay is just a metronomic monster, with hella feel. One of the more underrated drummers of his generation. Dude oozes feel.
what a perfect set. thanks for uploading!
Great. I just saw them yesterday for the first time. Different without Mary, but still an unique musical experience.
Stereolab é sensacional e esse set list que coisa linda😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Saw them open for sonic youth. Blew them out of the water
Awesome ❤
god if French Disko doesn't sound like the times we're living in now.
awesome...thanks so much
I think the cameraman was sweet on Mary.
She looked so beautiful here, self confident, the heart of the group, never quite the same after her loss.
aren’t we all
@@threedeemelodies The sound technician as well, she's way to loud in French Disko.
Great stuff!
39:37 Cheree, Cheree.... Oh Baby😊
holy shit, when jenny ondioline starts it's like a fucking train wiping out everything
The first song... #GUNPOWDERMILKSHAKE! 👏👏👏🇺🇸❤
❤️Mary ❤️
fantastic performance but the vocals are mixed way too loud
The way Mary's harmonies are so consistently flat is spooky. That's really hard to do, even harder to make it sound so casual.
They're a nice bunch.
:-)
Great registration :-)
radical.
transona five
Avant Garde M.O.R.
When was the collaboration with Nurse With Wound “Simple Headphone Mind” first released? I only encountered it six months ago on the Switched On Volume 5 compilation.
Great band, saw them live around about the time Dots and Loops was released; I know they’ve been performing live again since 2019 but is there any new material in the pipeline.
3rd day of 2nd Ashes Test begins in 5 hours 38 minutes; England are in a pretty good position.
Azure.
Cinnamon.
Paprika Red.

I haven't been a big Stereolab follower … is that an acknowledged Neue cover I hear on Jenny Ondioline? Or "inspiration"?
Shades of Ulysses 31 at 10:34
and I saw them at Karlsruhe, Substage, was it 94 or 95???
1995
And they played there again in 1996, touring Emperor Tomato Ketchup.
anyone know who was playing bass here, then? who is that? I know they've had a ton of them ... and this, I know isn't Dave Pajo...

Typical Millenial / Gen Z Band.....
This is one of Gen X’s finest. I know we’re invisible, but you can’t take the 90’s away from us!
@@SalimSivaad - my sarcasm is easily misunderstood....love Stereolab and the 90's culture.....✌
