I have a great idea that I hope you consider. What about offering your tincture and tea making classes online as well? You could film it while you’re doing the class and maybe offer a kit that they could buy in advance or a list of items they could buy. Then, people could make the tea or tinctures from home. I’m not one to fly or travel great distances, but it sounds like a great learning and teaching experience for all. I think you could offer them either live or on demand for a fee.

I love that you shared how passion flower got its name. As a Christian, I think sometimes herbalism gets lumped in with neo-pagan beliefs and people forget that many early Christians were herbalists.

You have encouraged me to forage 😊 I was amazed at the abundance of useable plants we found just in our back yard! From catnip to plantain and wild lettuce! The kids had so much fun examining the plants and looking them up to identify. They want to go for a walk now to see what else we can find. Thank you for your encouragement and your laid back attitude it really helps to have fun with it!

I happen to be going hard with lemon balm for my mom’s shingles right now. Internally as a tea and externally on her shingles. I brewed a fresh infusion really strongly. Use cotton balls to apply to the rash. She is experiencing a dramatic difference. No other thing including meds have helped. Lemon balm is antiviral and works amazing for shingles, cold sores, etc. lovely video!!!!

Ladies, wanted share with you how much your openness has touched my heart.
I’ve taught “wild walks” for many years now, and have hit highs and lows. We went thru a period of family illness and I stopped. When our Carrie finally passed, I began to think of starting up again. Yet I was afraid. You video about fear inspired me to begin again. The response was wonderful! So many folks said how they’d missed doing them…like you said in this one… it’s about sharing Faith and love of the natural world. Thank you dear ones! 💕🌸

Thank you for the great information. I am currently about half way through the sit & shake process of my ginger and feverfew tinctures. First attempt at ever making a tincture, so I need to get some more apple cider vinegar - I misjudged how much my herbs would soak up the liquid (using dried herbs). Super excited to start using them for my migraines and arthritic pain.

I love your videos. I have learned so much from your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I wished I had all this information years ago. Your never too old to learn though..
This is my third year with planting Lemon Balm, but my first year to finally harvest it. I have been drying it. I have never made a tenture but it is on my list. I have made a couple different types of salve this year. This is even my first year to really forage and I have several things I have dried out.
I want to learn more but with working full time, it is hard to get into a class. I know online courses would be the best option.
I love essential oils. I know I do not grow enough to invest in an essential oil press but I have been looking at them. That would be awesome if you did that.

Hi! I am really enjoying your channel. I found you a few weeks ago. As a "retired" nutritionist and believer in herbal medicine, I've been re-excited to pay closer attention to what medicinal herbs I do have growing (quite a few)--and get them processed. A question for you: when you give your ratios is this by volume or weight? For example 1:4, would that be one cup of herb to four parts vodka/glycerin? Thanks in advance.

The Story you tell is Different from the one I have heard. The Three stamen reprecent the Father, Son, Holy Ghost. The 5 stamen, represent the 5 loafs of bread that fed the 5 thousand people, the purple represents the first miracle where Jesus turned water in to wine. Then there is the Crown of thorns, and last the 10 petals represent the 10 comandments. It's One of Gods most beautiful flowers.

Could you look into and then share in a video how someone who has hypothyroidism and cannot use lemon balm could possibly use it? Hypothyroidism and use of lemon balm somehow creates even greater imbalance chemically and it makes me severely anxious and jittery. But before the jitters and anxiety settle in there's an hour of extreme peace and calm from the lovely plant. No herb I've found since has such a profound calming/joyful effect and I desperately want to use it but cannot put myself through that awful after effect of severe nervous problems. Please share and help me out here lovely honeysteader!!!!

Really enjoy your videos. One thing to note is that Yarrow looks a lot like the very Poisonous Hemlock. Your viewers need to be careful they know the difference. Again, I appreciate your videos so please don't take this as a negative.

I rinsed off my lemon balm and the leaves turned a funny grey color. Should I just not rinse it off?
