I just love chocolate mint and it grows heavily in my garden! I use it in any recipes that call for mint. I find that people who shy away from mints because they think it's too strong really like the chocolate mint. About to can up a chocolate mint jelly today. 👍

This tea blend is almost identical to my own Nightea Night blend that I sell, except I don’t put in Valerian or Spearmint, as I’m one of those weird people that finds valerian doesn’t make me sleepy 😄 so I add passionflower instead as that helps to reduce the thoughts that race around your head. I hadn’t really thought about putting in spearmint but it makes sense 😊 Kate x

I wish I had known about Birch mattresses before we bought a new mattress. I have actually bought two new mattresses trying to get a good nights sleep. Now I am sleeping in a recliner in the living room because I can’t sleep on my new mattress. Both had 100 night sleep trials, all the way up to the last night I was on the fence about them. I should have sent them back, but didn’t.
I’m thankful that you found a good mattress that you can rest on.

I love watching your channel. I have learned so much from you and your momma. I have been growing and making my own tea for many years. One thing I do after I have blended my tea I run it very quickly through my Nutribullet with the grinding blade. That way all the smaller herbs don't fall to the bottom and it gives more surface for extraction. I learned this technique from an herbalist and been doing it ever since. Thank you for teaching me. Have a blessed day 🙏😍

Great video today! I tried to go to sleep with chamomile alone, but it wasn't enough. However, valerian root is the bomb, especially in combination with chamomile. I make a cup and let it steep while I get a shower and all that. Then I sit up in bed and sip while I read. When I start waking up with my chin on my chest, it's time to lay down! I would go one more step with your phone. I have done this: my phone gets shut down and goes downstairs. And if I didn't have a far enough away place to do that, I would shut it down and stick it in a Faraday bag. No kidding. Our devices emit EMFs that are harmful for our bodies. Same with wifi. We are bombarded all day, every day with this stuff. We need a break at night.

I got a sleep tea recipe and got all the ingredients except the Valerian and Linden. They weren't available where I shopped. Need to order from Mountain Herbs. I think I really need the Valerian. I am a horrible sleeper. Always have been. Mom gave me valerian as a child to help me sleep. I smoke a little pot before bed and it helps me get to sleep. I just don't stay asleep. I would like to find a better way to get to sleep. I need heavy duty. Chamomile is great but doesn't make me sleep. I think I need to add oats and skullcap. My mind won't shut off.

cutting off from the phone at bedtime is difficult. Usually what happens for me is if my brain isn't engaged with a video... it is engaging itself and getting wound up (ADHD). I, too, noticed that some of my video choices were "activating" me. I'm currently "stepping down" so to speak... it's not completely cutting off the phone, but I'm being very intentional about what I am doing on it. The light is dimmed/no blue light. and I play boring games that tend to make me sleepy when I play them too long. One of them is a "coloring" app and I often select the mandalas because they are repetitive and circular.
