Thank you , dream theatre are sublime , I know I am a prog bore but metrolopolis is an opera so can’t pick one song no breaks in the album but it is brillant . PF as close as I will ever get to t religion but then Steve Wilson changed prog to a unity of harmony and heavy rock dream theatre just picked up the ball and kept running love it . Waiting for a horse to give birth which is why I am awake at 3 am

Hi Steve! Great reaction as always. I like Dream Theater but not my fav metal prog band. Haken is where it’s at for me. I would love to see you follow up this reaction with 1985. Just for the two bands comparison’s sake. Being an 80’s kid like yourself this song has so many throw backs to the 80’s. With synth drum sounds and keyboard synths. This song so reminds me of that time. One of the lines in the song is “I play my role with a cast of a die” which reminds me of Dungeons and Dragons which I played as a kid. This is not for morning consumption my friend!

This is track 3 off the same album as Pull Me Under, which is the opening track on Images & Words . Maybe, you should skip back to track 2 Another Day ? Oh, and the drummerr's called Mike, the guitarist is John, Jimmy is the singer.
Deep Purple have had to go on after Dream Theater .

Hitting on Dream Theater,eh bro? Images & Words is their most palatable album. Most of their product is in the 'prog metal' genre. If you want more of the prog 'rock' influences of old...Neal Morse is your guy. ;-) Not by coincidence..drummer of DT, Mike Portnoy, plays on most of Neal's material ( except Neal's Spock's Beard days,that is). T
