    I've watched many of your videos over the last few months as I prepared for my daughter's wedding. Now that the wedding is over I thought I wouldn't care about makeup anymore, as before the wedding planning. I LOVED this video because your explain scientifically why we need to treat our skin differently than younger women. I just subscribed, I'm hooked. Your are not only beautiful, you are a wonderful teacher.

      Hi Gabi, this is awesome thank you for posting I'm working on my makeup for my Son's wedding on Sunday. Quick question will a setting spray work under eyes to set concealer? Even fine powder is settling into the fine lines under my eyes. Thank you so much

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Рік тому +1

      @@Incredible43 Hey! No it won't set the concealer unfortunately. The only thing that can really do that is powder. Sometimes we have to pick if we would rather have a bit of wrinkling or darkness. I always choose to have wrinkles over darkness because in my opinion, depth and shadow under the eyes is much less flattering than a few soft lines.

    I tend to differ on opinion. I think yes- the beauty blender was meant to be used that way but if you are working with the actual beauty blender brand, the material is so soft and perfect that dampened gives one effect and dry gives another. For instance I use the damp beauty blender for all over the face to diffuse and work in foundation but I will use a dry one for under eye concealer because it really works it in and smooth it out. And I’m not the only one who prefers to do this. I would try it. U may like it too.

    Thanks for the tips! Gabby, I saw a (partial) video yesterday for older women. the MUA was prepping the client's skin. Before she ever started applying makeup she must have used at least $1,000 worth of products! It's not that most of us don't have the money but most older people are not going to spend $100 on a primer, something we never used when we were younger. I just turned it off and found you made a new video today! Already I can't wait to try the L'Oreal Foundation!... You DO know your stuff.❤

    Thank you for doing mature skin- finding working with my changing skin and how to have makeup enhance instead of age me! Please do more like this- I would love to see one where there were 4 different mature faces- and focus on working section each time- like mature eyes- Than showing how with the variety of eyes- addressing the issue of aging skin in that area and best ways to apply make up- how something works on one but not the other- best ways to enhance each- you are so composed and positive you would be able to do this In positive way avoiding any of the negative pitfalls other influences might fall in. I am so grateful for your videos- when I see finished looks it encourages me not to give up- a bit of an effort can make a huge difference! Thank you 🙏😀

    Thank you for these helpful tips and being so age positive. The most helpful tip for me was the not overdoing the eye concealer and eye prep. I already knew the tipp to bronze under the chin, that‘s very important too.

    I have been watching mature makeup tutorials for a couple of years now and still learning. I adopted a new brow shape after watching your video when a makeup artist reshaped yours. Really helpful. Now, “Brontouring” is a new concept today. So many bronzers lean too warm/orange on me. So I have tried a little cool tone contour and like it…but needed warmth. Found the Smashbox Step-By-Step face palette. Cool tone contour, tan bronzer and an unusual highlighter. Have you tried it? While they are powders, the are extremely sheer and do not leave a powdered looking finish. I actually like them far better than crème. Blurs imperfections, easy to apply, and can mix the contour and bronzer for a perfect shade. They do not have shimmer, yet radiate light, especially the highlighter. A little goes a long way. Really happy I found it. Works well with my L’Oréal True Match foundation. Always feel like my skin looks so natural.

      Yes the neck/chest thing is a big issue for a lot of women (especially the ones that pigment easily like fair skin). What I always do is look at what my client is wearing and then I apply the foundation according to that blending out so it's gone around the neckline of the outfits. It's a small thing that takes one minute but makes a huge impact.

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Рік тому

      Yes, that can be really tricky! Bring a compact mirror to the store with you, pick out 4 shades that you think are close and then go to a window. Hold the foundation up to your jawline. You will pretty quickly be able to see which one blends the most seamlessly into the face based on color level (lightness or darkness) and undertone (cool, warm or neutral). You can also ask someone at the store to guide you or even go with a friend. Sometimes we just need another eye to visualize what we can't see.

    Love your videos, and how thorough you are. I’m 57 and finding my skin getting dryer, but I still like a primer to keep my nose and forehead matte. I can’t find a foundation I like, but I will try the L’Oréal. Thanks for speaking to all of us!

      Are you oily on the nose and forehead? I also like to keep that area more matte too. You can keep radiance everywhere else and then go over those areas with a fine powder (that is what I do for myself). Try this new foundation when you get a chance. It's awesome.

Please share products to use that are reasonably priced. Would so much appreciated this. Thank you😊?
