You are so kind to your viewers Risa. I have seen this question so often in the comments and it's sweet of you to listen to their questions and needs. Congratulations on all the new subscribers!! 🌸
Risa PLEASE read this! I just want to tell you how much I admire you and how absolutely beautiful you are!! I know all influencers get hate comments and I am convinced it’s because they are jealous. I’m a 50 year old gal myself and find your videos so helpful and I have learned so much from watching you ( especially the Stans Out sponge and hooded eye tricks). I honestly try to look as beautiful as you! Please don’t listen to any negative comments. You are amazing ❤
I LOVE that at 58 years old, & always learning. I've been in a rut lately. This video is just what the Dr. ordered. Thanks for the awesome, much needed VIDEO as well as lists of great alternatives of products. It truly shows that you have been trained by THEIR BEST! ❤
Love this video! Thank you! Could you do a video that shows us "the cleanup" after makeup application? I need tips and tricks for shading, blending, and touch-ups to finish eye shadows. ❤
Thank you Risa for all your hard work and thoughtfulness in making these types of videos! Now that you've done a a few it's a great way to start a library and share with friends and family who could use the tips! And you look beautiful like always!
Risa, I just want to say Thank You! I’ve learned so much, found amazing products, and most importantly, as a 64 year old woman I feel encouraged to wear makeup and feel good!
Long time sub but this was a good reminder on order of steps. I'm in SIXTIES and a tip is to use a lip pencil close to natural lip color all over lips before applying stain - it really helps color stay put and not bleed. Most days I just use gloss over it and it lasts a good bit of time!
I loved this video. As a woman in my 50’s it’s inspiring to see another woman sharing their beauty tips. One product you used that I didn’t see is the contour. I liked the coolness of the color.
Beautiful look! Reminds me of early 2000s 😊 I’ve recently tried the foundation application technique where you swirl the brush and couldn’t believe how natural it looked! Thanks Risa
Risa, this was such an excellent video!! Thank you SO much!! I always learn something from you. 😍👏🏼💕 I could really use a video on what brushes to use with the different products. 😍
Hi Risa, I wanted you to know that I watched this video 3 times in a row so that I could finally know in my 50's in what order to apply makeup. I even took notes as you were explaining the steps. Anyway, I found you and now I am part of this family of makeup babes. I now need to go binge watch ALL your other videos which I am looking forward to doing! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you so, so much for this! Finally someone who applies foundation before eyes and eyebrows! I thought I was doing it wrong but have always found it easier this way. 🎉
This was SO helpful especially for someone new to most of these products who is over that certain age! The general order has been stressful to figure out! I especially thank you for being someone who said it’s ok to do brows and eyes last, not first- great video!
Love the close up tutorial. Helps us all get to understand the brush strokes and amount of product needed to achieve a great easy everyday fabulous look. ❤ Your channel and tutorials
Oh my goodness. I am so grateful for this video. You are truly amazing. Not only are you beautiful and talented. You actually take the time to read our comments and genuinely care about helping other women feel confident in our skin. Please know that we are truly grateful and appreciated!
I found this video incredibly helpful--I came to wearing make-up fairly late and I've never quite managed to figure out in which order to apply things. thank you!!
Thanks! I will watch this again and make a list. It takes twice as long to do my makeup when I have to stop and think about what comes next. I was glad to see I apply my cosmetics in about the same sequence. It's the extra stuff that trips me up, serums, sun screen, primers... this will help a bunch! Jan
Hi Risa , could you do a video on makeup issues.....like how to keep eyeliner from going south in the lower corner of your eyes...how to make lipstick last longer...etc.
I had this issue. I also have hooded and oily kids. You may want to try a different eye liner brand. Find one that doesn’t budge. For liquid liner, Stila stay all day in Black, for retractable I use Smashbox always sharp, and for pencils I use Chantecaille and Urban Decay 24/7.
Wow... I'm 57 and thought I knew how to apply my makeup. I have always applied my under eye concealer before my foundation. I just bought some new concealer by Kosas (since I've 6 been unable to find Natasha Denona). I can't wait to try apply after foundation tomorrow! Thank you Risa!
Love it❤ This is exactly how I do my makeup, but I don't use any contoure, I can't go without my primer because, I also have large pores, my favorite is the THOUCH IN SOL No pore blem primer.
I have used so many of your recs and been very happy with them, Risa, including styling tools and jewelry. I love the Maybelline Lifter Glosses, and Ruby is one I don't have. So lovely!! My sister Diane has hooded eyes, and I share your tips with her. Thank you for all that you do!!
Risa , excellent video tutorial. Not the same old thing. Your channel has such variety. Can you do a skin care video on proper steps for bedtime on all the serum. I really enjoy tutorials
Great video Risa ☺️ I often use too much skin prep. I was told to keep it to 3 skincare products before makeup application. I saved and downloaded this video so I can rewatch while I get ready tomorrow for my best friends baby shower 💗 You always look so beautiful Risa! I noticed you have a lot of new subscribers, congratulations!
Thanks, I am aware what to do and I love what u do. I do remember what order I'm meant to put things and on - I always do the base products but these days I swap up what order I do eyes, cheeks and lastly lips. Again your makeup looks fantastic 😊
Hi Risa. I’m 46 y-o and started to put on some makeup daily recently. This gives me a 30 minutes of me time and let’s me be creative. It’s in this context that I started to watch you on UA-cam. I don’t do much social media stuff. I have a problem. My shimmery eyeshadow completely fades by end of afternoon. I have tried with and without eye primer, setting it with and without powder. I have different brand of eyeshadow (Morphe, ABH, Nyx) and I get the same result every time. What would you suggest I try? Higher hand makeup? Different prep? I would love to know what you think.
About the sunscreen I was asking about even Elf got discontinued in Canada due to some crazy laws for labelling packaging. Anyways I'm so happy because I am part of Ipsy and I was able to get some Innisfree Saily UV Defense mailed to me. I ordered a few and on my next trips to Buffalo will have to purchase. CRAZY we are having such a hard time here with our favourite sunscreens. I used the Elf one and loved it. Summer Fridays breaks me out and many others I have problems with. Thanks for the great recommendations. You have never steered me wrong.
Hey Risa.., 😊…I have just been watching some of your older videos again, & I have to say that you do such great tutorials, & your hair now is “darker” .. it suits you so well & you look absolutely “striking” … Thanksgiving again for your great tutorials ..😘
Risa, thank you very much for this video! I do have two questions for you. Just because I’m super inquisitive! Which moisturizing lip balm do you use? And which bronzer do you use? I have acquired so much makeup that I can literally do a cream version followed up with a powder version of everything. But I’m trying to narrow things down to my favorites. I really like how your bronzer looks. Thank you for all your help!
This was SO helpful and accessible, Risa. Thank you! Wondering if you could provide your fave eye lid primer. I'm in the oily, crepey, hooded club - yay.
Hi Risa. Yet another great video. Do you have any comments, common preferences on microblading or brow tattooing? Or which is better, safer, or a hard NO to both/either?
You are so kind to your viewers Risa. I have seen this question so often in the comments and it's sweet of you to listen to their questions and needs. Congratulations on all the new subscribers!! 🌸
I so agree whit you.

Thank you Risa! I find your videos very helpful. Is so nice that you use high end and drugstore makeup. My makeup collection is mostly drugstore.
I've watched numerous times and appreciate you doing this one as you just did .. brought focus to exactly what & why. Thank you for your time!
The eye make up is very beautiful! I agree, after 50, the darker eye make up add years on my face. Thank you Risa! Am learning ❤
