Nice video, review and install, also found out that they are the only option now to keep the original 88-89 look. Definitely not cheap, but i want to keep the Original look plus the leds.
Look Into The "4High Headlight Mod". A few wires, a relay. Basically, when you switch your High Beams on the relay will trigger the Low beams to come back on. just some information, that bottom part of the grille is called a bumper filler. and also those push pins that keep it attached they make a specific tool just for those style of fastener called panel/trim clip remover
Thanks!! I didn't know about that name but it makes sense. I saw one of those trim tools before. I need to go ahead and buy one as much work as I'm doing on these kind of things.
1988 was the first year for that body design but they only came in regular & new extended cab pickup models at the time because the crew cab pickups & SUVs with the previous body design were still in production up through 1991.
I have an 89 Suburban (so technically still a square body) but I've only had it a week, was getting ready to tear into the grill and lights for upgrades - so this was fantastic
Thanks man i've been wanting to convert my '98 to the '89 style dual headlights but didnt know what i needed and you showed everything i need in detail

nice job I replaced my tail lights and turn signals on my 89 also. the old ones were very cloudy and dull. I may change out my head lights as you have done this summer
Thanks! I'm about to copy you too. My tail lights are mismatched from the junkyard. And the lights under the headlights are old and I need a bulb so I might as well replace them too.

Hey George! Are you sure? 88-89 were different. I wanted to replace the bulbs. But, these were sealed. I prefer replacing bulbs. If you know something different please show me where.

I mounted a 26" led light bar, there's a night & day difference between it & the factory headlights. Eventually I'll do this upgrade as well
They look good I assumed they were cheap at first but glad I watched till the end
They are like 36 bucks for one headlight and you gotta buy four so round 200 bucks for everything plus if you get led bulbs

Great video, great upgrade. But. I am still stuck with the plastic thing between the high and low beam. How did you get rid of that?
Great video. I wonder if you could upgrade the bulb to led ones?
I'm pretty sure you can. I'm thinking about trying some Auxito ones

What bulb size did you use with these headlights, been trying to find the 4x6 that uses 9005/9006 bulb
Wow nice truck!!
How do I change from these exact headlights to the single one across just like the turn signal light on the bottom ?
🤔I don't know. But now I'm interested.
Are they glass or plastic?

Can you fit a led bulb in the new light housing

What bulbs did you put in to make them white
Put an new altinator in it with more Watt's that will make them brighter also.
