Just something about that blade after you’d finished cleaning it, absolutely beautiful. ( your soar throat didn’t make you sound too bad) Great restoration mate enjoy your Haulidays. Love from UK
Thank You Brett! I was surprised the blade was still in such good shape! Hope you and Yours had a Great Christmas and looking forward to a New Year of seeing you!
What a sweet little tool. I like the satin finish on the handle it seems just perfect. I don't believe I've ever seen a saw blade finish is nice as you did. It's just terrific and really perfect
Thanks Mr. John! You can't go wrong with the satin finish it's becoming one of my favorites. I actually used this saw and it works good. Take care and I'll catch up with ya later.
Hey Mr. Dale! I actually used it and it cuts pretty good. I think highlighting the letters just adds a little pop not too much or over the top. Take it easy Brother!
Mike,Mike,Mike!! I was happy with how this one came up and I gotta tell you that DeoxC works fantastic! I'm glad I was able to find a supplier for it here to the US. It's a lot cheaper than Evaporust and with all the tools I clean it's a no brainer.
Hey Patrick! Thanks Brother i'm doing all right now. Glad the card made it and hope you have a light work week and a great weekend. Take care and I'll catch up with ya later.
hey there George! That's a fantastic looking keyhole saw. Really love the satin finish - a perfect mirror finish is tough when there's lots of scratches and stuff to work out. The satin handle, red lettering, and burnished blade look awesome together 👍👍 Great job!
Hey Matt! Thanks Brother! Ya you know how we do it. Make them look well loved..With a bit of finesse. Take care and Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas if we don't talk before then.
Thanks Mr. Bill. I really like that satin finish and that blade was in such good shape I didn't have to do too much. Take care Mr. Bill. ps got your Christmas card in today thank you!
Thank You Alex! That blade was a huge surprise to see it was still in such good shape! Sometimes I even surprise myself! 😁. Take care Buddy! I'll catch up with ya soon.
That saw turned out great, can’t believe how flat and true that blade was. I really liked the little wrench that you used. Thanks for sharing, hope the throat feels better.
Thanks Todd, I was surprised too. I actually used the saw and it works pretty good. That's a Boos wrench I restored it's big brother a while back. I'm doing better now. Thanks!
Nice job Uncle George, haven't seen one of those in many years. The one I seen had two wing nuts on it. Not sure if that's original or not. Well done on a great project. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Good to hear from you Junior, I've seen them on line with 2 wing nuts and with one wing nut and one square nut so who knows...Thank You! I hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
Saw 🪚 looks great. Jack Daniels good for a sore throat 😊. Canada Post is back moving again so hopefully my little parcel I sent will get there sometime soon. Take care brother, regards to the family.
Thank you Brother from the North! I like a hot tottie when it get's bad but we didn't make it to that point. I heard that about your post. Hopefully you'll get the Christmas card we sent before the first thaw..Take care and give our best to the Missus.
Well done George, that blade was amazing, so was paint on the handle branding. You must have a lot steadier hand than me. Have a great Christmas and new years .🎄🇦🇺🦘
Thank You Robert! I was pretty happy with how this one came up. I'll tell you this..I don't always get the letters painted good on the first try. 😉. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Yours! 🍻
Hope you feel better soon buddy. That saw is a real looker. I have one but my handle is wood. I don’t use it much but it’s a nice wall hanger. We are into the full Australian summer now with regular 30 to 40 Celsius days. Too hot for the shed. Love to all of you and big Christmas hugs. See ya soon.
Hey Brother I'm doing better now. Oh yours with the wood handle I bet it's sweet. Sounds like it's perfect weather for a Christmas swim! Love to all of you and Big Christmas hugs back. Take care!
I think you're right it does look very nice with the satin finish I also like the little wrench you were using I think I saw you redo that 1Anyway brother Keep the faith And rock on
Thanks Brother Les! That's my little Boos wrench. The one I redid was it's big brother. Take care and hope you have a great Christmas if I don't talk before then.
Hey Joe! Thanks Brother..Oh I got at least one of the Proto you needed. It's in the back of my white van.🤣🤣. Seriously I got it if you need it. You can email me. Merry Christmas!
Hi George, Next time you do a saw, would it possible for you to show us how to properly sharpen our saw blades ? Thanks a lot. Nice restoration. Roland
Hey Roland! Thank You! I'm not sure when I'll do another saw..But I usually just use a needle file and follow the existing angle unless it needs the kerf, reset .That's a whole other ball game. Take care Brother!
Very good looking restoration all the way. The blade looks really good and encourages me because I have some vintage carpenter saws and the rusty blades will be the most time consuming part of the resto. Even in arid or semi-arid climates, that old time spring steel can get nasty.
Turned out awsome when I seen that square nut I was like I wonder how George is going to tackle that and I smiled when I seen the boos tools wrench it was a good call brother take care and merry Christmas to you and your family
Another solid restoration! It came out awesome, amazed how clean the blade looks! If you ever noticed the clock on the wall in my shop, its a Douglas Tool clock, these would have hung on the wall at the plumbing supply house or in a plumber's shop back in the day. Thanks for sharing this, always enjoy the videos.
What a superior metal that blade musta been made from ... English steel i recon 😂 , i was with ya in spirit all the way george down to blueing as well until i saw how it cleaned. Then i thought please font blue it , and you didn't ! Spot on resto .... Again !!
Hey !George vraiment une très belle vidéo de cette scie, l'aluminium est brillant et la touche de rouge pour les lettres génial. La lame de scie est pas mal non plus, bien propre et je pense en état de fonctionnement. ❤
Nice dude... Came out awesome.. did it come with the wing nut and the square nut factory or is that a bit of History.. hope your throat gets better man..
That looks awesome Super George! Now you've forced me to get started on my Douglas Co ball peen hammer......maybe😂 I've got to find some leather for the stacked handle.
Good morning George I sure do like how that saw came out with the satin look. I have a question I’ve got a couple of hand saws that need some love the handles are in decent condition but the metal blade is rusted I’d like to clean them up is there anything that I could use after removing the rust to keep them looking good in this Florida humidity besides oils or grease. Thanks for another great video and thanks for sharing
Thank You Bruce, If you want to use them you can use a paste wax, I'd recommend Min wax natural. But if they are going to be wall hangers you can spray them with a lacquer.
@ ok thanks yeah I might occasionally use them I still enjoy doing projects without power tools I’ll give it a shot. You have a good day hope you’re throat is feeling better thanks again
I’ve seen the same saw with 2 wing nuts, 2 square nuts, and like yours with one each. Who knows how they came from the company. They are also from the 1950s.
Hey Brother, I had a sore throat so I wasn't gonna talk a lot but you know me I like to talk. I actually trimmed a few inches off the beard the other day. Take care Buddy!
Hey Robert! Thanks for checking brother! Hope you are doing well and that you and yours have a Merry Christmas if I don't get to talk with ya before then.
When I started filming this I had a sore throat and thought I wasn't going to talk. But you guys know me..I'm a talker.
George that Douglas saw came out beautiful.❤ I glad you are feeling better. Merry Christmas my friend!
Haha, folks who know me...know I'm a rambler! Parr of the package 😁
The neighbors dogs had a sore throat too. Get well soon. All the best to you and yours. Roland

That will make a nice wall hanger George.. I'm a fan of embellishing the letters on tools, I think it makes them look much better. Good job.
Hey Mr. Dale! I actually used it and it cuts pretty good. I think highlighting the letters just adds a little pop not too much or over the top. Take it easy Brother!

Thanks Ken, It's almost impossible to pass up those Always saws. There's just something about them.
I Hopeyou are on the mend brother! The saw came out sweet! TY for the card, that was really cool! Have a safe and super rest of the week! Keep warm!

Nicks and dings give a tool charter overall the saw looks great I would have missed your talking, glad you were able to do the talking.
Hey Dan, Thanks Brother! I couldn't be one of those no talk guys! I like to talk too much.
Nice job again George and good choice not bluing the blade, it pops the way you did it.
Thank You Ken, I was going to blu it but something told me not to. I'm really happy with this saw. Take care and I appreciate ya checking in.
