In my most viewed video of all time (ua-cam.com/video/tSvN_mLDG1U/v-deo.html), I basically did the same thing as in today's video, but with a plastic bottle, and it wasn't removable. Everybody in the comments gave me shit, and rightfully so, because plastic water bottle aren't meant to be re-used, and can become toxic. So I thought I'd to it again, but correctly this time, with a glass bottle that you can remove to clean. Oh, and also it doesn't look like shit this time! If you like this video, please subscribe!
Seen many woodworkers use different types of wood to create a pattern, but most rarely have even a single piece that displays the amazing level of care and precision that you show every single time. Really appreciate that in your work.
Nice, Olivier. Really nice. I've been a follower for a long time. I watch you on my TV. I don't do regular TV, Only UA-cam via Roku, so I seldom comment. I'm on my Chromebook today, so I'm commenting. You have real talent, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing that with us. I'm in North Carolina, USA. That's why I don't look at regular TV, it's all bs, fake, fiction, and mind controlling. I like to watch "real life" like your channel. I can't thank you enough. I love your channel. ❤
using a metal lathe to cut threads in wood like that is such a neat idea...I've come across them in the past but it's never occurred to me to wonder how it was done. Also, sure, this bottle version may be less toxic and better to look at. But personally, I still prefer the other one (...mostly 'cause of how you got the liner inside it 😂 )
Marvelous, Olivier. Your talent with wood is so beautiful to watch and the results are awesome. You may not consider yourself an artist, too bad, I do. Art is not only paint on canvas or stone carvings but wooden carvings, even if practical, are very much art. Thanks for making the world a lovelier place.
beautiful work my friend. At the beginning of the video I was thinking how a metal lathe would help tremendously in terms of accuracy. Not that your handwork is anything to laugh at. And then there you go machining and threading with a metal lathe. Well done Sir!
An absolutely beautiful bottle cover, crafted expertly with great skill, clearly mastered over a good length of time. Kudos for making a stunning and practical art-piece. But the self-assigned "genius" accolade? "Crafty" would be wittier and closer to the reality. ;)
Amazing, as always! I’m curious about your thumbnails? I have 2 different UA-cam accounts and the algorithm showed me your video with 2 different thumbnails. I’ve tried this feature on some of my videos and I wondered how it was working for you. I’m not sure if it is helping or hurting…
Please talk in your videos. Love to know what you’re thinking about. Don’t let the turds who complain about jokes but never make their own content deter you.
Congratulations, "Tinker" on complaining of someone's grammatical error when English is obviously his second language. I hope you enjoy your Superiority Complex.
@vickeez2240 Vickee old girl, I believe you fail to appreciate 'why' the remark was made. Can I ask, are you American? I ask as most Europeans appreciate and generously make leeway for the general lack of education, social sophistication and awareness that the word 'genius' is pretty much the same in many languages. Perhaps you can have a stab at telling me WHY I made the comment?
How do you prevent condensation? The wood will get moldy over time due to condensation. Look into double walled insulated liners instead, then it shouldn't mold.

Lol of course that of all videos is your most viewed

That is a genius idea and perfectly performed.
Always presenting new ideas and talents to make wonderful artful and useful objects. Thank you Olivier.
Absolutely beautiful piece of craftsmanship 👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️
Oh waouh, de plus en plus ingénieux, avec le système de vissage 😮, et l'utilisation du tour à métaux ! C'est super une fois de plus Olivier, bravo 👌
I could watch you work for hours, you make things seem so easy it’s almost like a relaxing meditation 😊❤
I received my Colt pen I bought from your online store. Wanted to say thank you from Texas! I appreciate your humor in the videos!

Bottle armor! Love it!😁
It looks awesome, loved the process. Cheers
I like your new style of videos.Keep them coming.
This is an amazing piece brother. Thank you for sharing! One love!!!
Clever. A very nice upgrade to your previous project.
I think I've said this before - you are magic
First time I've ever seen single point threading in wood. Nice.
Now that is a great Idea ! Happy New Year !
That’s so cool man would love to have one that fit over my stainless steel water bottle that would be so cool. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video, and showing my friends Im not the only one doing some woodwork with metal machines! lol
Brilliant! 💯
Thanks! 👍💪✌
Love the can shake short cut.
This guy has more precision in his hands than a CNC machine!

5:44 no, there's no way he's doing what I think he's doing
7:02 he's doing it
holy hell, this is ridiculous and I love it
Bravo, vraiment
Bonne année à vous tous.
Original et très esthétique. Sincères félicitations et merci pour ce partage. Cordialement, tg.
Really nice, non-shitty bottle holder. Love the screw-on bottom that allows the bottle to come out for cleaning.
Jolly marvellous
I missed your commentary !!
Brilliant!
Awesome concept, might I recommend using acme (trapezoidal) threads next time. They'd probably last longer in a material as soft as wood.
Encore fantastique
А теперь ещё раз тоже самое, но с колбой из пищевой нержавеющей стали 😂 Чтобы не разбилась случайно.
Looks amazing, but I don't think I could keep it dry when filling the bottle xD
Id definitely drink more water with a beautiful bottle cove like that.
Joli ! 👏
Why do people always have to hate on somebody else's talent?

At 3.20 you touched turning wood with a gloved hand! 😱 Expect to be arrested by the u tube police 😀

01:26 was that a joke and you actually had to sand all of them or did it actually work ?
00:35
Anyone else get kickback anxiety? 😮
Very good.
I know there is no reason why it should be so, but it's very odd seeing wood turned on a lathe.
Felt weird as well..
Where have you been ??
Joyeuse année 2025 et à bientôt.
Hey, I missed your talking/comments😢
Nice work. Just don’t drop it on a concrete floor.
Please talk in your videos. Love to know what you’re thinking about. Don’t let the turds who complain about jokes but never make their own content deter you.
Neat
It's still not gonna be as practical as a cheap thermos. But it does look a million times prettier.
Wow
💯🇧🇷
👍
🌻🌻🏆🌻🌻
This man gives me a inferiority complex.
No you should consider him as an inspiration source 😁
7:26 all that effort and then nothing to keep the internal surfaces aligned? It even looks like it shifts during clamping
idk why watching you cut threads into wood makes me feel so weird
bottle cover, not bottle ;)
Perhaps 'merde' is commonly used in French, but shit is still impolite in English
God help us if a simple bit of woodwork is described as "genius'. We're doomed.
Or, you could learn to spell, it's actually" ingenious".
Where do you see "genius"???
