Hello My Brother From Down Under! Always good to hear from you! I got the wood burner finished up today! Love to you and your family! Big hugs back to you. Hope you are staying cool.
Hey Mike! Those lanterns are pretty sweet and I can't believe they weren't broken! Thanks for stopping Brother and hope you all have a great Christmas if I don't talk to ya before then.
George that is a cool tool haul. My favorite are those 2 lanterns. The tools you got were great. When a tool lover like yourself goes above and beyond to help out someone else is PRICELESS! You looked through the vendor's tools and found tools you really wanted, but then also chose to purchase the average tools that would be found in a person's first tool box. You did that to help someone out.❤ I now have a nickname for you "SANTA'S HELPER"❤. Bless you for doing that. It is the little things that one person does for another that mean the most for the person in need! Bless you and have a Wonderful Christmas my friend.
Hey Stephen, Those lanterns are really cool I thought and of course they had to come home with me. You know a lot of folks are going through a hard time especially this time of year. the prices were good and I'm sure I'll find someone who can use those tools. Take care my friend and hope you and yours have a great Christmas.
The pliers are for wire spring clamps that are used on hoses. I have a Herbrand pair I use on auto radiator and heater clamps. Another great haul. The small Fleet ratchet is cool, and is the little brother to the half-inch Fleet ratchet I have. I also like the Dunlap screwdrivers for their unusual handles, and the lanterns. Bet you could easily convert them to led bulbs. Thank you for helping out the new vendor. Nice thing to do at Christmas or any time of year. Hope you have your shop stove going soon. Cold shops aren't alot of fun.
Thanks for the information Pat, I appreciate it! It was a mix of tools today. I'm not sure where I'm gonna put the lanterns yet but I think they are going inside. the wife really likes them so...you know. I figure we all gotta do what we can to help a brother/sister out. I finally got the stove finished out today. so no more cold shop for me! Take care and I'll catch up with ya later!
Merry Christmas!! I also loved those lanterns. Could your mystery extension be a Penncraft? Its the old JC Pennys brand that i think was made by New Britain. Keep Warn up there, and have a super week brother!!
Merry Christmas Patrick! Those lanterns are pretty sweet! I swear it says Benn Craft! 🤣. I'm gonna get one of the kids to look at it. I got the stove done today so I should be toasty warm in the shop now. Hope you have a great week too!
Thanks Richard! Those lamps are pretty sweet but I think the wife has claimed them so they'll be going inside but she said I could have all the tools! 😁
Great haul! That little 1/4" ratchet is the coolest, going to look awesome once it gets the Uwannawatch treatment! Seems to me the lanterns are calling for a super shine job! Take care brother.
Thanks Fred G! Ya that little ratchet really needs some love, but I think we can get it back to at least a good working order and Those lamps would be a nice a project to be shined up. Take it easy Brother!
Love those lights. On that K-Mart ratchet it looks like that speed adaptor is removable. I imagine those are the first things lost. Yeah the winter weather is here. Just in time for the Winter Solstice. Lanterns are definitely my favorite. Merry Christmas to you and your family brother. Stay toasty!👍🏻🎄🎅
Mike,Mike,Mike! Those lanterns are too cool and in good condition. Now I just gotta figure out where I'm gonna put them, Those adapters are all probably under work benches across the world. LOL. We got our first bit of real snow Friday night..Hanging in the 20's here. I got the wood stove finished today so now the shop will be toasty warm. Merry Christmas, Hope Santa is staying warm on the firetruck.
@@Uwannawatch Awesome George! You'll be in your T shirt with that wood stove. No snow here but Santa and I froze tonight-mid twenties. Last run for the season. Merry Christmas!
Thanks Brother! Ya it was a nice mixed lot and I really like those lanterns especially since they aren't cracked. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Great finds! I like the KMart of all things lol. Never would’ve thought that 😂. That proto adjustable will be a good restore! You ever run across some Bluegrass tools you don’t want let me know. I picked up another wrench for $3 last week. Take care! Hope you get your wood stove going soon! Merry Christmas to you all!
Hey Brother! I see Blue Grass tools this way every once in a while. I'll be sure to pick them up for you when I see them. Can't go wrong with a $3 wrench. I just got the stove finished out today,,been crazy busy at my job. Merry Christmas to all of ya'll!
Thanks Joe, I'm getting there with the boards still have to finish filling them..I really like the look of those lamps not sure where I'm gonna put them yet. I just buttoned up the wood stove install today, good day for it too. It was in the 20's all day here. Merry Christmas to you!
Thanks for checking in Guy! Ya those little ratchets are hard to leave behind. They are pretty useful for small engine work but I'm pretty sure I don't need more....but I'll bring them home anyways. Take care and hope you and Yours have a great Christmas.
Thanks Michael, The tool community goes beyond just You Tube and I'm sure I'll find homes for all the tools I'm not gonna keep. Hope you have a Merry Christmas my friend.
I really like the lanterns. Nice selections of adjustable tool The tiny ratchet and k mart ratchet are cool, You got some good stuff George. Stay warm Hope you can get the wood stove going soon.
Hey Mr. Dale! There were a few good ones in the pile But those lanterns made the trip worth it! Good catching up with ya today Brother. Take care and we'll catch up again soon.
Not using the wood stove? Really like the lanterns I inherited my father in laws railroad lantern collection. I have them hanging from the shop ceiling. Take care brother. Merry Christmas, say hi to your wife from us up north.
Hello My Brother from up north! I finally got that stove finished out today. I had to get a few pieces and they took forever to get here then my work was busy but..It's all done now and you guys will get to see it soon. I really like those lanterns and wanted to put them up here in the shop but the Missus has claimed them.. Merry Christmas and hello back to you! Take care Brother! I'll catch up with ya soon.
Hey Mike, thanks Buddy! They just have a cool look to them and I'm trying to get my shop back into shape but it's a struggle. Take care and I'll catch up with ya later!
Great finds, the lanterns were top finds this week those brought back memories. It’s cold in North Carolina down in the 40,s this morning. Stay warm catch you on your next video
Hey Dan! Those lanterns are so cool and to find them in great condition. Yes Please! It was in the 20's here all day. Take care and I'll catch up with ya later!
Great haul Super George! I like the lanterns but that 1/4" Armstrong ratchet is my favorite. I'd love to find one of those. Merry Christmas to you and yours🎅🤶
Thank you Patrick. A lot of mixed tools this week and I really do love those lanterns. They are in fine condition. A lot of clean ups to do. Take care and Have a Merry Christmas!
George first time I noticed that you got the S-K boards up they look awesome especially with your S-K screwdriver collection right below it. Nice haul, very cool you helping that guy out. The lanterns were cool also the advertising dog bone is a cool find. Have a Merry Christmas
Hey Chris! Yes Sir I like those boards a lot! I've been trying to work on filling them out. You know we all gotta do what we can and if buying tools helps him and I get to add to my collection or pass them along it's a win win. Advertising dog bone who knew? I think it's just as cool as the lanterns. Take care and Have a Merry Christmas too Brother!
😮OH MY😮 Nothing in that while lot of tools comes close this week hands down Advertising Dawg Bone is the winner today for the rest of the year! What a find! SK boards looking sweet too! Awesome!
Hey Big Brother! How cool is that! I've never seen such a thing! Those boards are coming along, I'm trying to get my shop back in shape but it's uphill in the snow both ways right now.
You are correct. The Diamaloy pliers are hose clamp tools. They were designed to open and hold open the spring wire hose clamps once used on automobile heater hoses and washing machine hoses with the single wire wrap design. The oval slide latches on the handle grips to keep the opened clamp open while removing or installing. I haven't seen these clamps employed on new equipment for a few decades. The Armstrong ratchet is pretty old. They changed the handle shape from to a "trademark" concave look 40+ years ago. I have never seen a straight parallel example. I used to use my 3/8" versions as my daily drivers until switching to Snap-on loyalty. It lacks the characteristic high polished chrome, another indicator that it is very old. They were a rugged design and lovely to use, and cheaper than Snap-on. Armstrong brand has fallen on hard times. I have lost track of who owns them, but this iconic industrial brand is far inferior to what it once was. Their industrial C clamps, lathe tools, and machine shop clamping tools were once the gold standard that other brands copied. Other clamp makers outclassed them only in the extreme duty, heavy rigging and fitter class. Armstrong wrenches used to be impressive too. We purchased a lot of Armstrong tools to jump-start my son about 1990. Their quality was already declining, and we were really disappointed. My son quickly abandoned them. I still have some of his cast offs. I kept some as back-up tools at home. I have 2 shops at home. Bringing home my work tools at retirement relegated most of the Armstrong mechanic tools to full back-up duty. Both shops are nearly Snap-on pure, with some Proto, and now Matco. I have a source for NOS Matco that is significantly under Snappy pricing. I have been yielding to Matco, purchased this way, to fit out my growing retirement hobby endeavors. Much of the Matco (rebranded product) is pretty good. I have decided that my needs at almost 70 don't always demand the very best. I am buying Matco large sockets and hammers, and I recently purchased one of their puller sets. It looks to be OTC, but made in Taiwan. I think that Matco is way overpriced off of the tool truck, but it is flooding into used market at tempting prices. I don't have any easy tool truck or industrial Snap-on sales sources in retirement, so I am buying exclusively on the secondary market. I get the vast majority of my industrial supplies the same way too. I have some sources that buy up large quantities of new materials and tools from trade schools and industrial suppliers like Grainger and MSC. Some of my shop supplies are house brands, much sourced from China. It is proving to be pretty reliable for my hobby pursuits.
Hello Paul! Thank you for another great lesson on the tools. We appreciate it. It is a sad thing that so many brands that were once really good have become junk. On the note of Snap On tools , My old neighbor was telling me her son who is a new mechanic has decided to use only Snap On, {He's expecting to get a full paycheck some time in the year 2200! }Just kidding but he has been buying from the truck... The fact that he is on the Snap On fan wagon made me think of you. Take care and we hope you and your family all have a very Merry Christmas.
@Uwannawatch I pay cash for my tools. I never bought off of the truck. I was industrial. The industrial salesmen have a different relationship than the truck dealers. They don't own inventory or trucks. Everything is ordered and delivered UPS. Often warranty is just calling in, reporting part number, IPS delivery, and sales picks up the damaged tool exchange on his next visit. There is no truck hustle.
Nice bunch of tools. The lanterns are cool, Kmart and JCPenney tools??? I have to say I really like those dog bones. Thanks for sharing! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hey Todd, Ya it was a mixed bag of tools this go around . I really love those lanterns they are in fantastic shape and I don't find them like that ever. Merry Christmas!
Nice haul! My favorite find of the day is the 6” utica adjustable wrench! I recently started a collection of utica adjustables and they can be hard to come by!
I usually like the whole tool hauls overall but I would say that today the lanterns are my favorite too but I really liked that little 1/4" ratchet second.
Thanks Kid, I really like those lanterns too. It was a mixed bag for tool finds. But all in all I think we'll find a use and home for everything we brought home. Hope you are doing well and have a Merry Christmas if we don't talk before then.
Awesome scores despite the frigid temp out there! Those lanterns are pretty cool and they are already in great condition. The advertising dogbone is interesting too, I've never seen anything like that. Happy Holidays/Merry Xmas to you and yours!
Again brother in case you didn't know winter is here pal The 1 that does it for me is the K. mart ratchet1 of my very 1st sets of tools was from them They are also Montgomery wards is Montgomery wards is tools So I had a few of those as well And then 1 day I changed up to crapsman Tools is tools and I love them all And I know it's right before Christmas I just wanted to let you know brother I'll be thinking of you Give everybody in your family A big bear hug from me Keep the faith my friend Looking forward to seeing you into the next year
Brother Les, I kinda figured out it was winter when I had to thaw the lock on the shop..LOL! It's weird don't really see too many Kmart tools in the wild around here but I'm sure a lot of guys had them. Big Hugs back at ya and hope you have a great Christmas!
A good haul. The little Armstrong ratchet and lanterns are sweet! BE CAREFUL WITH THE REFLECTORS or you may end up having to polish off the super thin chrome coating like I did with my old flashlight! 😊😊😊
Hey Jefferey! Those lanterns are pretty cool but I think the wife is gonna take them for inside the house....I had to wait for piping and then my job got super busy, but I actually had time and got it finished out today. I am also trying to get my shop back in order and get those boards filled. Take care My Friend!
Good haul George! That little Armstrong 1/4" ratchet is cool - I'll bet it would clean up nicely. I'm wondering if that extension is a 'Penncraft' instead of 'Benncraft'. Dale collects Penncraft. As always, I enjoyed the video!
Hey Mr. Bill, I think we'll be able to clean that little ratchet up and get back to work. I know Mr. Dale collects Penn Craft but I swear it says Benn Craft , I'm going to get one of the kids to use their young eyes to see what it says..Thanks for checking Brother!
George haul sunday , grrat plan with the new man , those lamps thou are my favorites. , so the d.o.r.c.o lamps are famous everywhere surely you have heard of them .... The full company name is , Dark Outside Radiant Candle Output.
Thanks Uncle Jim! You are a wealth of knowledge! You know I help him He helps me out. Tool world keeps spinning. Hope you and the family are doing well and Have a Merry Christmas!
Hi Jeff, I had to order pipe for it and that took forever to come in, and then my work got busy so I didn't have any spare time..But I got it finished out today and it works good! You guys will see it soon.
Great finds. Can’t pinpoint one item I like the best, but the lantern, the small quarter inch ratchet, K-Mart tool and dog bone wrenches are my favorites. So do you sell off the items you don’t collect. I’m trying to figure out how to sell off great items that I couldn’t leave behind, but now I’m running out of space
Hey Frank! Thanks Brother! Ya it's hard to pass on some items that's for sure. I usually trade, gift, donate them. If I sell any I take them to the Flea Market or I'll make up bulk lots and sell them through Face Book Market place. You know keep the tools going around. Take care!
Hi george. Definitely the lanterns are the best of the bunch. They are super cool. Speaking of cool why don't you fire up that wood stove. Am I going to have to come up and chop some wood for you. In fact cutting some wood would probably warm you up😂😂
Hey Mr. John! I just got the stove up and running today! Heck ya you can come on up here and chop wood I got plenty of axes! I'll even let ya take one home with ya! 🤣🤣. Take care Brother and have a Merry Christmas.
You know when you can see your breath in your shop you're supposed to have put the wood burning stove in before that Have a nice warm fire and enjoy your shop Instead you wanna stand out there freezing off jimmy and your boys
Brother Les! Let me tell you installing that stove was a real pain in the @ss ! I had to order special pipe because I wanted double wall and it's an odd size. Well that came in and then I was busy working 70 hrs a week.. But I got it all done today! My franks and beans are gonna be toasty warm from now on..or at least not frozen peas. Take care Brother!
Some great tools and a fantastic video thanks George for sharing your time 🍺🍺👍👍
Thanks Brian! Hope you have a great Christmas! 🍺🍺🍻🎄

I dig that little Armstrong ratchet!
Thanks Man, It is pretty nifty.
George that is a cool tool haul. My favorite are those 2 lanterns. The tools you got were great. When a tool lover like yourself goes above and beyond to help out someone else is PRICELESS! Nice haul! My favorite find of the day is the 6” utica adjustable wrench! I recently started a collection of utica adjustables and they can be hard to come by!
Thanks Kurt! I'll keep an eye out for the Utica and I'll throw them in with the other tools I got for ya. Take care Guys! We'll catch up soon!
Good tool finds, enjoyed watching, thanks.
Thanks Terry! I appreciate ya checking in and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
All around good pick
Thanks Larry! Hope you have a good Christmas Brother!
That 1/4 Armstrong ratchet is pretty cool! I would love to see a resto on it.
Thanks Scott, I think we can do that. It'll be good to get it back in action.
Cool lanterns
Thank You! I appreciate ya checking in!
@@Uwannawatch Thank you and hope you have a nice Christmas too.
Awesome scores despite the frigid temp out there! Those lanterns are pretty cool and they are already in great condition. The advertising dogbone is interesting too, I've never seen anything like that. Happy Holidays/Merry Xmas to you and yours!
Thanks Brother! Hope you and the Retro Family have a merry Christmas!
That little extension may be a Penncraft as sold by JC Pennys, nice haul
Thank You! I'm gonna have one of my kids look at it but I'm pretty sure it says benn craft..
Thanks for the heads up Man, I think the wife has decided they are going in the house for display.
Nice haul I agree the 2 lanterns what happened with the wood stove for heat and I see you got you're SK tool boards up look great take care
Hey Jefferey! Those lanterns are pretty cool but I think the wife is gonna take them for inside the house....I had to wait for piping and then my job got super busy, but I actually had time and got it finished out today. I am also trying to get my shop back in order and get those boards filled. Take care My Friend!
I don't know if you've got snow down there but here in Minnesota I've got a couple "Of snow
Yes Sir Les, we got a little on Friday night. Not much but it's still on the ground.
Nice video.
Thank You! I hope you have a Merry Christmas Brother!
What happened to the wood stove ?
Hi Jeff, I had to order pipe for it and that took forever to come in, and then my work got busy so I didn't have any spare time..But I got it finished out today and it works good! You guys will see it soon.
Take a closer look at that last extension. Maybe it is Penncraft.
Thanks Yadda! I'm gonna get one of kids to look at it because it really does look like Benn Craft.
Cool tool haul. The lanterns are my favorite. Could the extension be Penncraft?thanks for the videos
Thanks! Maybe..but it really looks like it says benn craft to me. I'm gonna get a second opinion from my kids. Thanks for tuning in.
I heard ...Dork Co... and thought you were shouting out my channel.
Hey Brother! That would be the Super Awesome Co. you are thinking about..Seriously!
