Thanks for watching :)
You got to respect the skill! 😌
1:10 Lead Hook and Step, Liver Kick
2:43 Failed Foot Sweep to Liver Kick
4:07 Intercepting Liver Kick
5:52 Inside Low Kick to Liver Kick
cheers!
First one is super effective, also had the third one happening to me against a southpaw heavyweight. Knocked all the air out of me
cheers !
Love the real time displays successes and blocks. Keeps all this technique grounded in practice.
Jeff, Your content is by far one of the best. Great how you have examples during sparring for almost every technique explained in your videos
thank you brother!!
Thank you this was very informative
Quality set up 👏
I remember the first time I got hit with a liver kick in sparring, felt like my entire body shut down. Good times.
Haha yep! Hurts!
Sooo... sweet! Thank you Jeff!
🙏🙏
thanks man i really needed this
Thx for watching !
thank you so much for your videos!!
no prob!
Great stuff, Jeff
Thanks kevin!
I've been waiting for this video for a moment now and I find it super useful
Glad to hear :)
My favorite...the sweep to liver kick technique. Love it bro 🔥💯
:)
Once again, incredible informative video. Thanks again Jeff!
thanks bro!
Great channel I appreciate all the knowledge u share
Thanks for watching !!!
Great work as usual. I wanting the whole time for number 4. A while ago during quarantine I’ve added that one to my arsenal after I watched Buakaw doing it. The heavy bag took a lot of punishment and it also improved kicking with the lead leg.
cheers!!
Thank you for the lesson!
No prob !
Another great video👍
thank you!
Bro Love love love your techniques . They're simple and effective.
Thank you man!
The second one is similar to silat tech, use it all the time when sparring just need to time it properly otherwise I eat a kick to the face.
Your video always help me to be a better martial artist, thank you.
Thanks for watching bron
Really appreciated that you showed the failed attempts. Just as important for learning
thanks man!
Jeff keeps shredding!!!
:)
Good work as usual bro. You are the man👍
Thanks bro!!
Awesome Video!
thanks bro
Awesome!!!
:)
Those are awesome!! Great stuff as usual. Liver shots are MONEY!!!
One that I learned from Savate/French Boxing is kind of similar to #3, but interested of parring the cross, you do a little step either back or sideways to slip/lean back and that creates the angle for the liver shot, specially if the adversary overextend the right hand…it’s kind of a check hook motion, w/ a slightly different angle…
Noted that in Savate, as they use a reinforced boot, they kick w/ the toes, but I’ve used this setup to kick with the shin, no problem… however, the toe kick in this position is NASTY, and I love it!
Thanks for watching! And sweet I’ve always wanted to try savate boxing !
This is brilliant!!!! got me thinking about how to use striking to get into different foot placement setups for kicks
:)
very nice, simple fast technics.. thank you. i will try them in the next sparring. great
🙏🙏
Awesome video, I will try it 👊
thx!
u best man,u teach me to be good fighter
Thanks bro!
Great techniques Jeff can't wait to use them tomorrow on sparring day.
Awesome! Have fun!
Really good . Merci !
thanks for watching!
@@MMAShredded aren’t you in Toronto …?
2:02 my brother munched that liver kick. Beautiful placement.
thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing
Thx for watching !
Colpi semplici ma di sicuro effetto. Ottimo 👍🏻
cheers!!
Awesome video Jeff :)
thanks man!!
Hey love the content!
thanks man!
From southpaw stance the Right hook, high kick, jab, uppercut, liver cut works almost everytime for me when sparring orthodox opponents. I got that from seeing a Giga Chikadze video on fight tips a long time ago and it has worked wonders for me
cheers!
Good stuff! I'll have to try some of these in sparring! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thanks for watching !
I love your videos ur the best
Thanks man!
Thank you for sharing.🙏🙏osss
no problem !
Jeff thank you for those, I even landed the Hook setup on both of my coaches, that felt awesome
Awesome!!!
Huge fan hehe I've been watching your videos and practicing hehe thanks and this April I am about to join MMA hehe
thanks brother!!
Love em. Will 100% use them in my next sparring
awesome!
Good instruction vid bro...u been studying petr yan pretty good, useful info here.
Thanks man!
My favourite way to target the liver is the right back kick. Set it up with hands and aim properly. If it hit, they ain't getting up
Cheers!
Nice left leg, like whip 👍
🙏🙏
Another great video. There is something so satisfying...hearing that hit to the liver lol.
Yeahhhhh I’ve been dropped many times by it . Oh it hurts
4th and 3rd were good
The first two were a bit of a hit or miss
Nasty stuff man! Love it! Gonna try it as soon as I'm able to spar again haha
thanks man!
I just ate a spinning heel kick to the left side of my ribs...right near the spleen if I am correct. Happened Tuesday, and it's getting worse every morning. Shits no joke. I don't get hurt in sparring at all usually, but you can't condition the ribs. Very thin bones. I don't know if it is a bruised rib, or if it is a fracture, break, or whatever else it could be. I can't just sit out for a month, so hopefully it is better withing 1-2 weeks from the injury. The heel dug in right underneath my ribs and then went up. So it wasn't on the outside of the ribcage, but rather the bottom part of the ribs where it curves into the inside of them. Absolutely miserable man. It just happened way worse to some dude in Bellator as well. When I typed it in today, that came up. God Bless. OSS.
Wish you a speedy recovery !
Do a video about your preferred gear choice. Gloves, shorts, shinguards, mouth guard, etc…
I do not but can recommend if you email me at Jeff@mmashredded.com
The liver kick is my favourite kick to throw
Gotta save these now
cheers!!
Spinning back kick and maybe knee could get attention also.
Thanks for those great ideas!
Thx for watching !
Dope!
:)
@@MMAShredded Bro that low sweeping kick works sooooo welll! I use to set an inside leg kick with a feint jab to distract then into a straight cross once the opponents off balance. But yours is way better thanks for sharing a clever weapon 🤣
these nuggets. gotta train
Coooooool!👌👌👍
:)
Da first and dat third one r major reasons y I wish kyokushin had face punching in it! Dat left hook setup...
🔥🔥
Jeff, if you want me to take your ad seriously, I want to see you doing those donuts man 😄
Some actual good stuff in here unlike most the videos out there.
Thx!
@@MMAShredded no problem m8, just giving credit where it is due.
Great video Jeff! Can you do one for southpaws next !?
thanks man! il see what I can do!
Thank you!
Hey Jeff I recently started muay thaï and your videos are being very helpful. I feel like I never know what to do in sparring. I wish more people were careful about sparring etiquette because getting kick in the head at your second training by 16 year old is pretty humiliating
it happens to all of us bro, you learn and make sure it doesn't happen again, that's it!
it’s all good bro the more u get beat the stronger u get
Its best to set up with a few Gazelle Punch since it a powerful knock out punch and people will defend it once they feel the power and eventually they focus too much on the hook and bang there comes the liver kick
:))
My liver hurts lol. Great vid man!
Thanks bro!
With the wild swing though, what if they through a counter punch?
Since no one listens to me, I'd like to see you guys show videos on executing the hammer fist like Tom Cruise does in Jack Reacher. My opponents always thought the hammer fist was ineffective until they get hurt, then they think otherwise.
u should make a video how to fight a person who loves throwing left hooks
Noted !
Can you make a video of what to do when someone catch your kick?
try this video: ua-cam.com/video/fPFafyu5q6g/v-deo.html
Wow first ones like an improved switch kick more power faster plus a hook fake
cheers!
I just realized I wasn’t subscribed to your channel I swore I was I’ve been watching your content for over a year
hahaha thanks for now subscribing :)
@@MMAShredded I really thought I was already subscribed I learn a lot of striking set ups off of you thank you for the excellent content
The ammount of sparring sessions must be huge. I only spar twice x week
So i've been following the channel for probably a year plus at this point and I enjoy the sparring content. I know coronavirus hit so it doesn't make it easy but do you have any near future plans to fight again for one championship? Just wondering when will get to watch you fight again.
it isn't covid that's stopping it, its being stuck in negotiations
@@MMAShredded aww lameee. you obviously have a solid following so hopefully one championship is willing to make it happen.
I learnt the first one watching Cowboy
cheers!
Been trying out that yan liver set up but been getting my kicks caught, i think it’s because i am telegraphing or not selling the hook enuf, gotta make it land and then they’ll respect the hook more and block, but do you have any drills to do to help get kicks not caught? Like retracting of the kick fast enuf or something?
Yes when your opponent catches your kick you gotta quickly turn your shin vertical and slide it out
Hi
how do i train muay thai in bangkok bro?
I know they are very out of fashion now but I used to like faking a low or middle round kick and landing a hook kick on the liver
Nice!!
I train muay thai, your techniques work against experienced opponent's
awesome!
that kick at @2:37 would have def knocked you out cold if he was going 100 percent his back was facing you and you still hadnt move till he went 70 percent speed on the spinning back heel kick
I always wonder how to throw a front leg kick.
It's all about foot placement , bending knees, aligning the shoulder at or past target and turning support foot .. for traditional karate kicks using a sidling postion , muay Thai an L foot position , front kick both legs should be facing foward chamber then extend counter hand low.. also when kicking low you wanna bring the counter balance hand straight down vertically , however for mid to high kicks make sure counter balance hand is angled to the side and not straight down .
All styles of fighting were created in Greece
Do you use turning back kick in your game plan ? I think for the liver it's just as good or even better than throwing round house kick
More impact but harder to time and land. These lead roundhouse kicks are so easy to slip in quick and without using much energy! (This is coming from someone who has no idea what they are talking about as I only have a couple years of training )
Been working on it lately, spinning stuff is still not my expertise !
Question: Would it be viable to grab the opponent's hand/wrist/arm at 1:28 for an arm control as well?
I would not recommend it.
1. Controlling/grabbing the arm is slower than throwing a hook.
2. Grabing the arm usually leads the opponent to bend at the hip (lowering the body for wrestling) / crouching instead of staying high --> this makes the liver kick less harmfull.
I like to hand trap but not necessarily grab the arm
Great vid as always. Can you make a video on rules of bjj. I don’t know if there’s any rules cause it looks like it’s done by instinct unlike the rules of fighting
1:08
2:42 4:06 That clip never gets old😂
4:07
5:51
Thanks man! As for bjj rules, I don’t compete much in bjj tournaments so I don’t know the rules very well!
@@MMAShredded Oh yh I meant like what not to do. Like how in boxing there’s 1-6 and it never changes. How to use bjj instinctively basically👍🏾
Im pretty confident i can smash you on the UFC3 game .
:)
Hi Jeff, how do you avoid hitting the elbow when kicking the liver?
Love from France
On a guess, it's getting them to raise their arm, either to block a high strike, or while they are throwing a cross. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Hey bro! I like to throw horizontal kicks over the arm. So I kick a little higher. Overtime your opponent will really feel it in their arm and sometimes they will flare their elbows Becuase their arms are drained and tired and that’s when you throw a more vertical kick right in between !
Good question. That elbow is a booger bear.

Jeff, did you do that to your sparring partner's face?
Do what?

They gave you a new ford truck? 🤓

Is dropping someone with a liver shot in sparring considered a dick move?
Depends on how hard you guys agreed to fo
@@MMAShredded thank you.
So it's just a left hook fake is all
For the first one yes
