That man shows also his mistakes that we can commit, what a great channel !
Thanks for the support bro!
the slip counter works well for Connor because he has insanely long arms for his weight class
True!
couldn't agree more!
Frrl 74 inches.. mines 73 at 6ft.. and he's 5,9
he still used it well against Diaz, you're forgetting. everybody can use it. all you have to do is drill it countless times and find the timing
OdinMMA Don’t forget Kevin Lee’s reach either... the guy is 5’9~ with a 77in reach, and that’s not an error
LOVE how you take the time to demonstrate everything in different stance scenarios. This is the one thing I think other channels miss and leaves people confused as to how they can implement the techniques in their own game.
Great video bro
thanks man!!
It's so crazy how well you can mimic his movements
haha apparently not so well though, lots of critiques from people!
Yeah because all these cheeto covered critics are experts 😂 you mimic his movements really well it's difficult to get timing down in actual sparring because it isnt your own natural movement but it's a great video!
thanks so much!
Agreed. I recognized the movement as instant McGregor.
Don't mind the critics.
Everybody a expert these days
Why have you not made a video yet about the King Artem Lobov's tactics? I need an example of his legendary headbutt to the fist tactic.
hahahah I will add him to my list bro thank you for the suggestion.
Diem Sky are you for real? He is god and no mortal can learn his style
that spinning side kick is really dangerous, its hard to expect, its accurate and quite difficult to defend or counter. Great technique
1:07 " the walking heavybag"
The kind of people who continue to go forward receiving 10 hits in the face
ahahahha. I thought the same thing. or "the canadian zombie". Jeff had 100% accuracy in that exchange
of course it´s easy for us to judge behind a desk and a keyboard. I thing that when they sparr Jeff in the gym a lot of good and talented guy look like a heavybag
What a beast I gotta say
Can you do a video and how Mechenzie Dern uses her fake accent during her fights?
I will add that to my list, thanks bro!
MMAShredded hahaha
Technically impossible. Wait til she gets KOd she'll sound American instantly and hopefully make weight.
I want to see how she uses her ass in her fights
Robert Liberty She does BJJ ass pressure instead of hip pressure
1:10 God damn that guy got lit up lol
James Aldaco lool i was about to say the same 😂😂
He was going easy on me!
HAHAHA
2:32
Dude got fucked up
I love your channel because you literally show the mistakes which we can do by accident. No other showed this. You are great!!!
thank you brother!
Tactic #3 is the pendulum kick inspired by bruce lee who perfected it. I love the way Connor uses bruce lee's legacy in his fighting style. Good video
Thanks Larry!
Im actually learning the techniques amazing. Conor McGregor is my favourite MMA fighter too
thats great! thanks!
Nice sparring man, strikes look very solid....nice usage of the length especially.
Thanks bro!
1:07 guard has left the chat:
He tanks the punches lol
He's mimicking Nate Diaz' style
What are you talking about? He blocked those punches perfectly with his face
1:41 Conor used the exact same tactic against floyd and again against khabib in the 3rd round of their fight. so unpredictable and it would be 'lights out' if it lands with the left. In his ufc debut he finished marcus brimage with a similar one to this.
true!
Can you show us Jon Jones, Nick Diaz and GSP Best Tactics ?? They are all the Best! Thanks !
I already have a GSP and Jon Jones tactics video. Do check out the rest of my channel!
Mate ive been studying the fighting irish and conor since his first fight. You have explained everything perfectly. As a man of irish decent im proud that this style is seeing more attention. Its efficient and the strikes really pack a wallop. Slainte 🍀
thanks for watching bro!
I'm really Loving these "Tactics by" video series👍
Can't stop watching them
Keep up the Great content bro !
Simply Amazing 👊😎👆
Thats awesome to hear thank you!
More video of footwork, different ways of moving forward PLEASE
I will try to add that into a future video. Thanks!
MMAShredded 🙌🏻✌🏻
Very nice mate, great job! Love that you put so much effort into these videos to help us out improving our techniques.
thanks so much bro!
Awesome, I miss these earlier fights tkd moves Connor used. Against Siver it was unreal how he outclassed him. He used to say he would get some high kick/ spinning kick kos. Maybe he's fallen too much in love for his hands, thinking he can ko any boxer out there...
Yeah!! Thanks for the comment!
I thin He can Do that with siver because He was eady opponent.
Its too much risk in an important fight
Another astute and insightful vid. Yeah, McGregor likes to throw jabs and strikes from unexpected directions, like that corkscrew upper ... reminds me a little of one of Mohammed Ali's unnamed moves where (if I remember correctly) he'd bob in slightly, feint his head low and inside, and as his opponent's eyes tracked him low he'd throw a fast looping overhand hook from outside to his opponent's temple, right at the edge of their peripheral vision.
BTW, props for not editing out failed attempts ... love the honesty. Failure is the greatest teacher, and deserves repect.
thanks my brother!
I really like this one. I was hoping you would include his pawing strategy as that's a big part of his kit. I think his setups are really nice, and flow very well for his style. Having a bunch of tools in your toolbox, really makes you a well rounded fighter. I wonder do you take low percentage shots and try to make the percentages higher? or do you use them more situational? I learned some things are lower percentage on landing, But I've learned when to land those type of shots in certain situations to make their percentages go up. or am i the only one that things like this ?
I will throw certain techniques more depending on my opponent's stance, so yeah I would say I account for low percentage shots vs high percentage shots! thanks for watching !
I really love your channel for breaking down tactics and showing both the successes of the approach and the failures of it. Real life combat is messy and chaotic, and I like seeing that represented in your sparring.
thanks so much bro!!
@@MMAShredded No problem! You're a big inspiration for me. I hope you're doing well during these difficult times.
This is my first 'signature tactics' video.. these combinations and techniques seem really versatile, I feel like I'd have to use each one of these combos quite a few times during sparring to really understand how it works and when it would be useful.
And you have so many of these! New subscriber, definitely interested in this type of content.
also, with the single kick tactics, when would they be useful? For example, the shuffle leg side kick, spinning back kick, or spinning heel kick are all quite easy to see coming when not set up, and I don't have much success landing them. How would you make sure to land them, and when you do, how would you follow them up?
Thanks for watching! I personally use the shuffle leg side kick as my opponent is about to move forward or off a jab. The lead side kick is obv much longer than your jab and if you are explosive enough you can catch your opponent. The spinning back kick is similar, I like throwing it when I can sense my opponent moving forward. And for the spinning heel kick, I personally do not practice it and quite honestly never landed it.
thanks! I practice Muay Thai and one of the guys at the gym told me about a tactic where an opponent waits for you to move in with a Thai Hop (the move Saenchai tends to use a lot) and then throws a push-kick. So, is that the same idea? To understand the opponent's rhythm and throw one of these kicks at the exact moment he steps in?
Essentially yes. You can use the side kick in many other ways as well.
Jeff I’m more than thankful for your channel, I’m beginning an MMA career and I’ve even cultivated my own martial art. Your videos have helped me up my game even more and also give more knowledge to my students, for like the universe consciousness is ever expanding. Once again keep doing what you do and thank you so much 🙏🏾
thanks for watching!
Could u possibly do a wonderboy tactics, that be cool. Great video
I am in the process of doing Wonderboy! He will be out in either next Sat or the Sat after that!
MMAShredded awesome! can’t wait !!
I may be wrong but I think he feints the left cross (after having landed it a couple of times) to disguise the outside lean he uses to setup the corkscrew uppercut. These are great videos BTW 👍
thanks for watching bro!!
Nice video. Could you do Anderson silva next?
I have him on my list, but I got Wonderboy, Machita and Max Holloway first! Thanks for the suggestion!
In general, I would avoid using the lead hook kick unless you train it to the level of van damme. It can be used against certain opponents to confuse them, but you have be powerful and precise with it, otherwise it is ineffective. The spinning side kick though is a great weapon, as you can see in MMAShredded's sparring - far more effective. I would suggest looking at "the Turkish Samurai" videos online to see how to use it offensively. But, you can use it in many other ways, too. For instance, one of my instructors, Jim Caldecourt (ISKA and WKMA world kickboxing champion), you can use it to control the ring craft. When you back someone up into a corner, they will either duck out to the left or to the right, let's say you are both orthodox fighters, he will move to your left, you can hit him really quick with a spinning side kick without moving half as much which can then back him up in the corner, if he moves to the left you hit him with a hard right round kick. This is part of the ring craft as you are then controlling where your opponent is and moving him onto your shots. You can also use it as a surprise attack, so in kickboxing if you are trading body shots you can put your weight on the front foot spring back with a jumping back spinning kick and catch them under the ribs, which then gives you distance so you can come in with a round kick, tip, jumping knee or something else that gets them off guard and breaks up that rhythm. In fact there are many ways to use that kick, but a great tool.
sweet! Thanks for the tips!
Wow... absolutely amazing analysis. U earned a subscriber😁
awesome thanks for the support!!
Really appreciate this type of videos really expands my shadow boxing/ arsenal thank you. For your hard work
Thanks for watching bro. I will be making a shadowboxing video soon!
wow thanks boiiiii, that upprecut with cross and jab really helped me in a competition fight thanks thcxocu4g3mp29 ute
glad to hear bro!
Nice breakdown
A video about his movement drills, footwork and reaction drills would be nice
Noted. Thanks!
How to fight like McGregor? Grab a dollie, yell and throw at random bus.
haha
Oh, and awesome video as always champ!
Thanks brother!
When he comes back, you're going to love him again because you are HIS bitch, not the other way around. You'll pay for his fights and watch him win.
Bjørn Friborg How to fight like Khabib? Rape your opponents leg and harbor terrorists.
On your standard side kick chamber the leg up the kick at more of a downward angle towards his gut, it puts more power in the side kick.
Sweet, will try that. Thanks for the tip.
Can you make a video on tactic used by Alexander gustafsson please , sorry my english is bad because i m french
No problem, I understand your english fine. Yes I will add Alex to my list of videos!
I love how u show when it doesn’t work aswell shows to not rely on one thing and mix it up good work
thank you!
Tactics from
Fedor emelianenko
Noted!
Thank you for teaching all of this information. I have been bullied and beat up for a while and I was finally able to beat him badly enough for him to leave me alone. I don’t really like fighting that much but I love it when needed. But I like to try to talk things out.
thanks for watching! yes talking it out is always the best way!
2023 anyone??
2024 😎
2030 😎
I’m an instructor out here in Scottsdale Arizona, I have to say brother I absolutely love your videos. Please keep up the great work I’m a big fan
awesome thanks for the support from Arizona!!
good job bro. keep it up
thanks bro!
Awesome brake down, you literaly take all their movements, and strikes down to the bone, love it!
thanks bro!
Cub Swanson please!!
The Duck cub isn’t good enough to have his own tactics video
haha! I will add him to my list anyways, although I have many fighters on the list to go through first! Thanks for the suggestion guys!
MMAShredded I do lots of JKD is there any chance you can use a video or send a video make a video what not on using JKD techniques
A true martial artist always battle tests his technique, you did a good job at it
All the best to you and your journey in the way of martial arts !
Thanks brother!
wheres the karate foot work???
Thats simple
For all these kicks setup is key. Jump scissor kick should be set up by landing some shuffle/stepping front teeps so they think body when you step and raise the knee. Skipping side kick is slow enough that all your sparring partners could catch or parry it, though you rechambered quickly enough in most cases. Use the same skip to hit some switch kicks to the lead leg to get them to plant and check.
The spinning kicks are great to keep opponent from circling out to your back.
Can you show me Conor's great ground game..
Hm mmm I haven't seen much of his ground game.
MMAShredded I know it was a joke
LOL gotcha, i can be slow sometimes.
Jeff my bro, I get goosebumps every time the MMA Shredded notification goes off. This Tactic breakdown was awesome. Loved the head kick at the closing of the cockscrew uppercut combo😁
hehe thanks Jaycee! You are awesome and your support gives me a tremendous amount of motivation!
MMAShredded anytime my bro, thank you for sharing with us your knowledge and awesome skills
I love this channel
Thanks for the support bro!
MMAShredded no problem man 😊. Im 16 and i started muay thai in january. I train 2 times a week. How long do u think it will take untill i am quite good?
I think it all varies depending on the person. But it is awesome you started at 16! I also started when I was 16, so keep up the good work bro.
MMAShredded thanks, you too!
This is the channel i was searching!Keep it up bro🥊🥊
thank you!!
Please sharing some Khabib Nurmagomedov's best tactics..!
right here: ua-cam.com/video/MZzRKwbuT6Y/v-deo.html
@@MMAShredded Thank you
no problem
Brilliant video, extremely helpful
Do you have any tutorials on conors footwork? I love the way he bounces.
thanks man. I don't currently but I can see what I can do about making one
Because I am going to kick some jerk's ass tommorow so I am going to mix Bucky Barnes' and Connor's fighting style. He's done tommorow
LOOL nice
Crazy how much you look like him when you emulate his style, that's cool you can mimic anyone!
thank you!!
I don't want to start random fights in bars
haha true!
@@MMAShredded We need a video on how to take a punch like that old beast he punched. You could tell the old man was holding back from showing him how they threw down back in the day.
1: Slip and cross
2: Corskcrew uppercut and cross
3: Lead leg shuffle side kick
4: Lead leg shuffle heel kick
5: Spinning side kick
6: Spinning heel kick
7: Rear uppercut, hook and cross
8: Scissor kick
9: Rear push kick, jab and cross
cheers!
The way you pivot your foot before you spin on that heel kick is handy , I'm going to try
Jeff.. I've learned more from your channel than 3 months training in Thailand.. Fantastic stuff mate.
thanks so much man, it means a lot to me!! cheers!
Thanks for showing these techniques. I’m now trying to train these at the gym.
awesome bro!
Love your style, man. Always enjoy your videos.
thanks bro!
You will get more spin off of the spinning hook kick if you lift your leg after the spin. You spin and right before the end you whip your leg out. Uriah Hall has a good video on it.
Amazing work as always.
Sweet thank you for the tip ! Will try that out next time I train!
This was an amazing tutorial. I like the live fighting to give a feel idea
Thanks!! I was waiting for this video this whole week😄
Haha awesome! Now time to drill drill drill! Thanks for watching.
Insanely informative video I find connote style fascinating and it really appeals to me over any other fighting style .
Beautiful breakdown. His best tactic however is using his right hand to gauge distance by placing it not the neck of his opponents. It’s what is truly unique to him.
sweet thanks for the tip!
Really nice . . Liked a UA-cam video after a long time . . . kudos to your efforts
Thanks bro!
Man this is the third video i watched and i can tell you. You´re really good reading fighters moves & the idea of creating this channel was a huge smart move. The thing i like the most it´s that you focus on the best ones. Can wait to see next vid !!
THUMBS UP.
sweet thanks so much for your support brother!
Solid breakdown, Especially how you show how it's applied in sparring against multiple opponents. One question I have though, you pointed out the cross counter off of the outside slip but no mention of it off the inside slip which is the traditional use of a cross counter, and a much harder shot that he uses far more often. He also uses alot of this whilst on the front foot pressuring them backwards, specifically he layers decoy jabs on the lead to bait a response then times that response with his cross counter (eddie alvarez and both diaz fights are a perfect example), a proactive based approach to an almost exclusively reactionary weapon, very rare and definitely worth mentioning, not to mention has the highest potential for a KO
thank you!!
I love how on the demonstration it's like practice mode in games
hahah!
thank you for taking the time to make these videos. it shows. it's appreciated and that's why you have fans
Thank you so much!
Its crazy how close you need to be with the front leg kick. Such a classic attempt.
I am a big fan of your videos and I see them from Argentina, I do not know English but I still understand the tactics very well, please keep it that way (this text I did with a translator)
ahh awesome! Thank you!
These are Conor's best techniques not tactics. Though I like this video, it is incorrectly titled.
Conor's best tactics are:
1- to start the fight the moment it is announced, this first phase being the mental battle.
2- to take smack talking to another level to cause emotional engagement.
3- to create a media bubble round opponent to throw their crucial pre fight training by causing stress in the opponent and distracting their focus.
4- to research and find ever skeleton in not only the opponent's closet but everyone close to them to put pressure not only on the fighter but their entire camp.
5- studies opponents footwork and learns their go to moves, the tells they will go into their standard combo and the footwork they use when doing that. He then trains a counter to interupt the timing on this combo, breaking the combo. This is the big game changer that makes him one of the best fighters and how he was able to even appear to out boxer floyd and how he caught jose.
By disrupting a technique so common to the fighter that they have no conscious thought while doing it is actually a thing hypnotists use. It is called a pattern interrupt and that is exactly what it does. When you perform a pattern that you do so often that you don't think about it if it is interrupted, say you went to shake someones hand but just as you went to grab their hand and were committed to that action, they took their hand away. In that instant there is a moment of confusion while the brain has to work out another action to do instead, in that moment of confusion you freeze up, it is only a fraction of a second but that fraction of a second is the exact moment Conor's left hits you. After this happens a couple of times you question yourself and are unsure what to do as you know that what you want to do will be intercepted and fail. This leads to hesitation in his opponent while they are having to consciously think about performing moves as they abandon their standard playbook.
6- his footwork, his footwork is superb and closes down a lot of opponents attacks while creating opportunities for himself.
Though I do not condone Conor's junkie gangster behavior, and am disgusted at Dana's double standard by rewarding Conor while banning Jon Jones for a much lesser offense. I still predict that Conor will KO Khabib by the end of the 3rd. If Khabib does take it to decision I question if he will have done enough damage to Conor in the judges eyes to gain the win over all the strikes he took in the process.
I don't doubt Khabib will take Conor down a few times but question how much of the round will be left by that time to wear Conor out, as that's what he does, he doesn't maul, just maintains dominant position and makes you expend a huge amount of energy getting back to your feet. So even if it does go the distance and Conor spends the entirety of the last 2 rounds lying down, if he wins the first 3 rounds on points then he wins.
great video bro! thanks for your dedication!
Thanks Anurag!!
I used to practise and try to use the lead leg hook kick (heal kick) a lot in kickboxing. It is really difficult to generate power and land, easy to block and will often leave you off balance. To land it, you need to use it as a surprise when there is no guard up and mostly when they aren't that good against kick fighters. I would suggest feinting to the body with a lead jab first, or to hop in and lean forwards a bit more to commit to it. Van Damme was really the first I copied with this kick. To generate any power you want to really put your hip into it and lift your knee high before you throw it. You can also finish with a spinning backfist or elbow after because when you hit arms you tend to have your body pushed back in the opposite direction.
In my opinion the kick is worth knowing but not worth spending time on, the spinning hook kick/heel kick however definitely is, as with the side kick and spinning side kick.
sweet thanks for your suggestions
Great video my guy, just on the spinning side kick you have to swing your arms first and then have the hips and leg follow. Watch when Connor does it he swings his arms for momentum, you were leaving them out of the question behind the leg in the kinetic chain
awesome thanks for the tip!
Late to the comment party... but, I must say, your videos are really well put togheter, I used to watch another youtuber, but you are much much better.... Thank you
thanks for the support brother!
just found your channel and I enjoy watching you sparr as it is very technical. Also enjoy the breakdowns of different fighting styles, keep it up man :)
thanks so much for the support Martin!
Your videos are a huge help when I train outside of my gym. I'd really like to see Ngannou signature moves, if there's even enough material for that haha.
i can do my best, if not, will def in the future when he gets more fights in!
@@MMAShredded would be amazing man, keep up the good work.
thank you!!
Can you post a video on how to fight like vasyl lomachenko, lyoto machida and anderson silva
I have them on my list! I believe Machida is coming up next week! Stay tuned.
For the lead leg shuffle kick, u need to kick higher up because it looked like you hit some people in the groin area.
haha thanks for the tip!
Really good series. Would be great to mix it with videos of the actual person doing it
unfortunately I only use my own content
Thanks for the info. Saved and going to study this extensively.
awesome!
That sidekick hit everytime def gonna try this
nice!
I was watching your videos for a while...but today i subscribed
Awesome thanks for the support! Why only now? haha
For stand up, you should do a study of Raymond Daniels. His techniques are very effective
noted thank you bro!
You're very welcome!
Jeff I started watching your vids and I have learned so much thank you!
Awesome glad to hear bro!
Love all the continuous testing of tactics and the failures too. Would be cool if you could show a side by side of tactics you’re emulating.
what do you mean by side by side?
MMAShredded ah pardon - I made the comment before thinking about the extra work it would take and potential media license issues. Was thinking of when you say for example “mcgregor does this” show footage of him performing the kick alongside yours. Anyway. All good love the product you’re pushing out.
@@olw4196 oh gotcha, yeah I only use my own content. thanks for the support and suggestions though!
Subscribed! Love how you show it in sparring. Awesome channel brother.
Thanks for the support bro!
Damn you really rock this dudes, can’t tell if you told them “light sparring” but then go heavy on them or you really just better😂
that uppercut straight is a nice combo
yeah I like it too!
@@MMAShredded i must master that,i just wonder how did mcgregor learn such sharp shots that inflict damage even to floyd, and his kicks are like snaps,i doubt someone in ireland teached him such finesse.the guy analyzed other fighters and done it for hours and hours beside normal training for sure
THIS is that quality content I’ve been looking for.
Thanks for the supoprt!!
Conor doesn't take a step when doing the scissor kick. He sets it up with the lead side kick, then picks up the lead leg and kicks with the rear leg. Also he uses a snap kick (front kick) rather than a pushing motion.
Ahhhh good eye. Thanks for the feedback!!
Bro these type of videos are the best ! Keep them coming
Sweet! Thank you, I will!
I'm currently a boxer, but really do wanna practise MMA and stumbled upon your channel and praise the Lord it has helped me a lot. Thank you!!
thanks sso much for watching!
Could you do more sparring breakdowns?
I got some unedited sparring breakdowns, waiting to be finished and uploaded, I have just been very focused on signature tactics by legendary fighters because subscribers seem to be enjoying them a lot! Stay tuned Oleg!
I guess the smaller gloves really benefits his style, as it is so much easier to slip that hand through holes in the defence
yeah!
Thanks for the video bro ! But I think you missed the oblique kick, right?
Of me sparring? Haha probably. I missed a lot! Thanks for watching!
MMAShredded Haha no I mean the oblique kick to the knee, Conor loves this he used it against Aldo , Max and maybe others.
