    Trained at JacksonWink for a few weeks and every striking class frames were discussed by the trainer (Joey Villasenor). I was thinking I can see why Jones uses so many frames. I definitely love framing and posting on an opponent to create that space. Good video brother.

    I was thinking about this recently after seeing a fight outside of a pub. Most martial arts don’t address framing or a single collar tie with punching. Street fights are often crazy boxing, wrestling or hockey style grabbing and punching and yet very few martial arts address that aspect.

    I just want to let you guys know that if youve trained or drilled this and end up in a barfight that exact spot you frame on is where their tshirt collar is and you can just close the fist you're framing with. then you can yank him around (maybe into a right hook?) as well as create distance. might sound obvious but its another good reason this is worth practicing all the time. great martial skill.

    I noticed one polished aspect of Jeff's defensive striking is his counter punches Directly after the frame, those crosses are lightning quick as well as unpredictable making them near impossible to guard against. This is top level counter striking

    This is sick. I've only really used framing for BJJ to create distance to escape. I've held my arm out there to manage distance, but I don't use it to follow through with punches of that same length. Imma try this tonight and Thursday. 🤙

    Jeff, what is good striking combo against wrestlers?
    I understand those i should prepare defense takedown after my combo, and maintain distance, but what is good combo for controlling wrestler?

    • @MMAShredded
      @MMAShredded  2 роки тому

      long knees are a good threat to use against wrestlers and if timed well, can end the fight !

  • @davidkleinlehrer6900
    @davidkleinlehrer6900 2 роки тому

    What the point of frames.. if someone will just knee you?

    • @MMAShredded
      @MMAShredded  2 роки тому +1

      every situation is different but the frame helps you create distance to avoid being kneed. actually, it allows YOU to throw the knee instead because you have posture versus your opponent
