    Oh my gosh!! I used to watch other ladies hair when they flip it and it just crisscrosses over each other and subtly falls down....sooooo beautiful and I could NEVER have that!

    I'm so glad i found your channel! I have PCOS and when i hit puberty my hair fell out. It grew back, but over the years it's been thinning out and actually is in the same loss pattern as you. It's so comforting to hear other's journey especially when it's so similar to mine. lately i've been looking online for support because it's seeming to thin faster the past few years than it has my life prior. Thank you for your honestly and vulnerability!

    I can totally relate to your story! I'm 36 and have dealt with fine thin hair my whole life. And I remember seeing girls flip their hair like you were explaining and just wishing I could have hair like that! Mine was really noticeable after the birth of my first child, I had the postpartum shed, but my hair never grew back to its prepregancy thickness (thin, but not as thin haha) My loss seems to be stable, but I'm tired of being self conscious in public that people are staring at my thin hair. It can be very isolating because as common as it is, it's still quiet uncommon. I can be in a room and look around and think, I'm the only women here with thin hair. It also doesn't help that I have three biological sisters and a brother who were all blessed with a full thick head of hair. I guess I just needed to rant, but I'm considering a topper or extensions to help with my confidence.

      @Becky Riesinger I highly suggest that you visit Etsy.com The store name is MANELYYOURSCanada. Also take visit on Instagram page manelyyours47. There is hope for you Revivify Hair Treatment Oil for Thinning and Baldness will be the answer to your prayers. My mother has suffered from alopecia as well. She has visited many dermatologists who has said that there really isn't any treatment away from steroids. Of course with that comes with a whole slew of side effects. At the end of everything the cons outweigh the pros. She began using Revivify Hair Oil Treatment for Thinning and Baldness. And believe me when I tell you she has seen great progress. Revivify is 100% natural oils with no preservatives. Revelation 22:2 "The leaves of the tree are the healing of the nations".

    I’ve had “sensitive hair” since high school w massive sheds due to eating disorder as a teen, and a shed in my 20s from Norplant birth control. Hair grew back w help from Rogaine. Two years ago, stress caused shed and doc put me on spiro, propecia and 5% minoxidil, and hair regrew. I stopped my regime last fall (terrible decision!!) and had massive shed. New derm put me on 10% minoxidil w Retin A, dutarstide, spiro, and increased propecia dose. She diagnosed me w androgenic alopecia for the first time. My hair loss is mostly in temples w diffuse overall thinning. My advice for women is to find a derma pathologist if possible. My hair is growing back, but now I know i must stay on regimen forever. I call my hair a “chemical wig”. It’s a daily project w a hefty monthly price tag and meds have side effects. 😑 but it’s worth it to me to keep my hair. 💞

    Thanks for sharing your story. It’s tough as a woman to lose your hair. I had thick hair until I hit high school and it progressively gotten thinner and thinner. After menopause the hair on the top of my head said bye bye. Now I’m in my early 60s and just bought my first topper. It’s all uphill from here! I should have done this much sooner!!

    Thanks so much for sharing your story!! My experience has totally lined up with yours. In middle school I started to wonder why I couldn't have the hairstyle that some other girls had because my hair was too soft (I had a lot back then but they are fine hair). In college I started noticing scalp showing up underneath my hair if I don't wash it daily, I've been using some fibers since. And now I am three month postpartum! Losing a full hand of hair everyday, so I am starting to research on toppers before I go back to work. All my blood work results show normal as well! Again thank you so much for sharing your experience, it makes me feel not that lonely anymore!

    100% birth control plays a factor with hair loss. I was on it 5 years but i experienced A LOT of thinning after i stopped. Over 60% of my hair fell out. After i started treatment with supplements such as vitamin d3, ( i got deficient after stopping birth control) and treatments like dermarolling and the pro I- restore laser light therapy my hair came back. I also take collagen peptides 2 scoops a day and i take probiotics. My diet has changed to healthier eating with no sugar, lower gluten, & drinking lots of water. Ive been doing all this for 2 years now & my hair grown back 5 times thicker. Has anyone else tried these types of treatments for hairloss??

I also have started a treatment with a naturophatic this year, in January. I am taking hydrolized collagen, iron, vitamin D3, multivitamins, copper and zinc, probiotic, and also following a restricted diet, low carb, gluten free, dairy free, etc. I have noticed that my hair has been falling out WAY LESS than before. I am also oiling my hair twice a week with a blend of oil (coconut oil, castor oil, rosemary essential oil, thyme, lavender, cedarwood, etc). I have already purchased the laser light therapy cap, but hasn't arrived yet.

Tried vitamin supplements for months and DHT blocker for a month, no change . Very interested in the coloring stuff. I remember losing so much hair after pregnancy , just balls of it. Hormone based hair loss is treatable unless you have scarring hairloss like scarring alopecia..give your body rest and detox..try taming your anagen and cortisol level with spearmint tea maca powder...having high testosterone and anagen..can cause a form of male pattern baldness in women...avoid fried food and meats with hormones and look into the 5:2 diet or less dramatic intermittent fasting to give your body a chance to balance itself out without outside influence..try hclf vegan but incorporating plant fat like avocados or hemp the are good for hormones. Stress snd excess supplementation can worsen the condition..i took multi vitamins with a high dose of vitamin a and it was terrible for liver and hair health

    I been wearing custom human hair toppers for 5 years very expensive.
    2000$ each!!
    I tried on swig the other day it bunches up in the back, don’t feel secure:/ I was disappointed.
    Just trying to go more affordable.
    I saw where you can make a topper out of a wig.
    Anyways, my base on my topper has to be about 7 in x 7 in. For my coverage.
    I have autoimmune illness been losing hair since age 21 when I was diagnosed.
    My question is ,” What toppers do you recommend?”
    I have to have bangs , so I cut bangs in them.

      Well I’m looking for toppers that are more affordable and prefer heat friendly but less than 2000$ each
      I have watched so many videos and I’m hesitant to order one on the market.
      The synthetic could work but I’ prefer blonde colors... and light rooting...
      My bio hair is light brown . And at my shoulders but I blend it easily. As long as there is good coverage or density....
      I don’t work. But stay busy with my 14 year old and I have a 21 year old.
      I just need some back up pieces.
      I was think about trying the Milan by noriko, or a racheal Welch topper?
      Just any information or if you have experience with any major brand on the market. Would be great:) I have thinning on my entire head. With most on top. But hair is fragile, brittle, very unhealthy:(

      Milan isn't heat-friendly, so that's out. Have you checked into Jon Renau's easiParts? Those come in smaller sizes as well as larger and in human hair OR heat-friendly. Raquel Welch does have a heat-friendly topper, but I think only one option called Top Billing. Did you see my latest review on BelleTress? That's HF as well: ua-cam.com/video/XO6i7WMXiS0/v-deo.html

    Did you notice when you were on the spironolactone that it helped with the hair loss? Did you ever find after the postpartum shed that your hair loss slowed? I’m in the middle of it now and I’m afraid it’s never going to stop coming out.

      I wasn't on it long enough to know - I was only on it for about 5 months. And yes, after the PP shed my shedding definitely returned to normal. The post-partum shed is the worst...

    90% of women with AGA have insulin resistance = the root cause of your HL. PCOS is not a disease, it is a symptom. I wasnt diagnosed with PCOS either, but I have all the symptoms, plus I am insulin resistant, which is the actual cause of AGA (sugar-insulin-hormones imbalance-pattern hailoss).

    • @CornerOfHopeAndMane
      @CornerOfHopeAndMane  6 років тому

      You do need some hair for traditional application, but there are other ways to do it if not...tape, glue. In fact, I glue (with a super-strong gel) the front of my topper: cornerofhopeandmane.com/helper-hair/glue-toppers-wigs/

      A hair topper actually covers your entire scalp, which is what I use versus the little clip-in extensions. Have a look at this video as it shows how I do this from start to finish: ua-cam.com/video/vZxMuBkkgmQ/v-deo.html

    Thanks for sharing ... had no idea there was colored dry shampoo! I need to try that ... are you still losing hair? I’ve been losing huge handfuls for years now ... I’m looking at toppers now. All my tests come back normal too ... this started after I got an iud and has continued even years after removal

    Yeah.. my entire family has passed down androgenic alopecia. It seems to go towards the women mainly but men in our family also have it. My grandmother had it and all her children except ONE male didn’t have it. And all his kids also didn’t get it. But my aunt and my dad got it and they lost their hair completely. My aunt had 4 daughters and 3 our the 4 got it as well except for the youngest. They lost theirs around 30. My dad lost his hair and my brother lost his right out of highschool. My hair has been progressively thinning and I just hit 30. I’ve been actively looking at wigs and finally bought my first to start trying and wearing to get comfortable. My hair is EXTREMELY thin. I understand looking at other girls and how they style their hair and how they play with looks.. and I could never do that :(. My sister never got the gene either. I also have cousins who are girls that have also lost their hair. So... in our family it’s overwhelming. I’ve had blood work done and I’m healthy... it’s just this thing that has been passed down :(.

    • @blessyourheart836
      @blessyourheart836 6 років тому

      And also, I’ve had 2 children. And my hair was its thickest while I was pregnant. Which is why I thought maybe my estrogen is low... well all my levels are normal :/. I’m learning to try to come to terms with my hair loss and own it by finding wigs I like. And I was prescribed that medicine as well.... cannot! Spell it lol! And I read ALL up on that medicine and felt that I didn’t need to take something that could affect my body negatively long term, just for the hope that I could KEEP the hair that was on my head. He said I wouldn’t see new growth. Just keep what I had. Which I’m not happy with anyway so I was like, what’s the point. Lol

    I was born with a "cradle cap" and diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis (a type of Eczema). It disappeared and I had wonderful hair during childhood, but it came back during puberty and my hair got progressively thinner and scarcer... I tried EVERY kind of doctor and treatment and nothing fixed my hair loss and super thin hair. I finally started wearing toppers in my late 20s.
    I also always had issues with my periods and I've been on the pill for many years. I want to try to get pregnant later this year and I was looking forward to the healthier hair that most women experience, but now I know it might get even worse... T_T Oh well.. guess I might need a bigger topper...

    I heard that dry shampoos are really bad for thinning hair and can make hair fall worse...
    There is so much conflicting information about what will help thinning hair and hair fall.
    Its very disheartening when searching for solutions and the advice is wrong and it makes the condition worse...
    Im at my wits end with all this.

    • @CornerOfHopeAndMane
      @CornerOfHopeAndMane  6 років тому +1

      It's all frustrating, huh? I can only speak about my personal story, and will tell you that I haven't experienced any additional shedding and I still use dry shampoo to this day. My alopecia is caused by DHT, which all bodies product, that attacks the hair follicle. So, the issue comes internally rather than externally.
