Chael I think there is somthing, that you may be overlooking. As you know or may know, a couple of weeks ago Curtis Razor Blaydes was knocked out by former heavyweight championship contender Francis Ngannou, now you may not think much of that but let me offer you this: Curtis Blaydes was knocked out by Ngannou we have already covered that, but Ngannou's record still holds a loss to one Derick Lewis.. stay with me here. Derick Lewis before his title bout with DC was last knocked out by UFC Legend Mark Hunt, who was submitted via arm bar by none other than Gegard Mousasi. Now we all know Gegard has a decision loss to former middleweight champ Lyoto 'The Dragon' Machida, who tapped out to another former champ who goes by the name Luke Rockhold. Heard of him? Yeah thought so. Now let me ask you this, who was it who beat Rockhold for the championship? Thats right, Michael Bisping knocked him out in the first! Stay with me here cause this is where it gets interesting, Bisping was then knocked out by Gastelum, who lost his undefeated streak to none other than current welterweight champ Tyron Woodley. Now you might be wondering who was the last guy to actually beat Tyron Woodley? This guy seems to have had the belt for a long time now. Well that guy was none other than current bellator champ Rory McDonald, who was finished in one of the greatest WARS of all time by former champ RUTHLESS Robbie Lawler, who might I add was absolutely picked apart by former Lightweight champ RDA.. hence the word 'FORMER' Yeah RDA lost his title, but who to? None other than the self proclaimed most voilent man in MMA history Eddie Alvarez, who then went on to lose his championship belt to the notorious one. So I think that begs the question, just how good is conor mcgregor?
Chael, I attended UGA when my DAWGS won the national championship in 1980. Herschel was a leading factor in that championship team. He was nominated in 80' and 81' and won the Heisman in 82'. I actually met the man on campus and can tell you that he was a very humble and fascinating man. GO DAWGS!!!
Joseph Babica he had 2 fights, both KOs, and watch the second one it’s very clearly not fixed, the guy was just demolished by a monster in Herschel walker
Walker had a phenomenal physical and athletic presence in every sport I've heard of him participating in. Unfortunately he is a horrendous politician and completely unfit for the position. Still a beast in replays, dude was a monster.
I have followed Herschel since he was 18. He actually ran a 10.12 100 meters at the end of his freshman year at Georgia. That's hard to put into words what it really means. Here is a 220lb football guy. He does not train for track year round. His body is still growing. If you were to put him into full time track and field, with today's training, he's running 9.7, maybe second only to Usain Bolt. I actually saw him run a 10.3 at the Stanford relays in 81. Words do not do justice. The dude was the first genetic freak of the modern era. No steroids. No weight training. Pure athletic ability bordering on superhuman. Oh, and he did it all on 4 hours sleep a night.
@@renatolaranja52 In a 100 meters for sure. Bo never did better than 10.35 if I recall correctly. I know Herschel had a much better 100. In a 40 probably about a tie.

Herschel Walker just graduated High School in the summer of 1980. He did not win an NCAA championship nor did he make the Olympic team in Track & Field. I saw him compete at the 1981 USA JR Nationals where he finished 6th in the 100m. He’s an amazing athlete and even a bigger liar.
Raymond Cook:. I was looking for this comment. I graduated high school in 1980 too. So there was no way Herschel could have been on the Olympic team that year because he was just entering the University of Georgia the summer of 1980. I doubt that he even was granted a try out for the team.
He did win a NCAA national championship on the 1980 UGA football team . The championship game was played on Jan 1, 1981. But still considered the 1980 National Champions. And he did make the US Olympics team as a pusher on a bobsled team.
I've heard a rumor that Herschel Walker had never lifted a weight until he got to college... When he got to the college football weight room, someone had asked him to try out the bench press which already had 355lbs on it. So without hesitation, he sat down and instead of taking some weight off, he benched it with perfect form, no problem... FIRST TIME BENCH PRESSING AT 18 YEARS OLD AND HE BENCHED MORE WEIGHT THAN 99% OF THE HUMAN POPULATION WILL EVER BENCH PRESS IN THEIR LIFE!
@White Knight There are genetic freaks like that out there. Bodybuilder Greg Kovacs was like that too. At 17 he bench pressed 405 lbs in his first ever session.
Herschel was a great player, especially at Georgia but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t on the 1980 Olympic team when he was 18. Those Olympics were in the summer before his freshman season at Georgia. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Herschel walker is known to stretch the truth. A quick check of the 1980 US Olympic track and field team will show that he was not a member of that team. He may have competed in trying to make it but he is not on record as having made it.
@@thefarcenteristhepartyyoun4787 who said anything about Ivy Leaguers? Herschel also won several ballroom dancing competitions with his sister when he was in high school and there’s a young lad on youtube who has made videos attempting Herschel’s workouts and his Dad went to UGA and when he walked behind Herschel he said he had no neck because his shoulder muscles were so big.

Chael, another tidbit that is unknown about Walker, I am a former Kick-boxer from Walker's generation. As you know the athletic world is a small world. Here is a fact that I have known since 1979 maybe 1980 to long ago to remember the exact date. Walker is also a Black Belt in TKD, not the easy Black belt by today's standards , but a Black belts from the Old School standards . If you ever meet with him again he will be able to verify that fact!
The core of Hershel Walkers successes is his strong moral character his integrity, and his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. The latter being most important.
He admits to having dissociate identity disorder and his different alters that make him have homicidal ideation. Proof: ua-cam.com/video/G_NeOjimOB8/v-deo.html
All these things sound so unbelievable. It is so incredible you would almost think it is impossible. However, if Walker says it is true it must be true, right?
Herschel Walker is a serious Beast! Watched him at CoBo Hall in I believe 1980 win the 60 meter dash indoors. He looked like a body builder running faster than you can even see! He is a beast!
It was 1980 when I became a 5 yr old Georgia Bulldogs fan! Being from NJ Philly area.. those Red Jerseys and 34 I can still remember! An amazing soul! He basically put the USFL on his back initially! Great piece here two GOATS

Dave Winfield might have been the greatest athlete of all time. He was drafted by every sport major American sport; NBA, ABA, NFL, MLB...Lets see Herschel try to play NBA basketball or MLB baseball. Winfield could have done it all. And Winfield made the Hall of Fame in his chosen sport. Winfield would have made Hall of Fame in any of the 3 big sports.
If I coached an nfl team that was going into the playoffs with a group of injured running backs, I’d call Herschel and offer him $10 million to carry the ball 35 times per game, and I mean today when he’s 60, the guys still runs sub 4.4 in the 40. Just nuts.

When Herschel came out to push the sled alone for time he obliterated everyones times , not even close He's said to be the only man that was able to push the sled ( uphill ) for time beating all comers ! A feat not duplicated to this day . They put him on the team because with his unreal strength n speed they had something nobody else had.......human nitrous ! That team would have won gold , the walker advantage was something nobody had or could come remotely close. A true legal built in head start .
People are so quick to judge or look for faults in others. Most who make negative comments seldom are as critical when it comes to themselves. Also anonymity given far to many false bravery that they don’t possess in the light of day. When push comes to shove I would choose someone who is engaged, trustworthy and honest. I find those to be most valuable. Physical abilities just like mental ones initially are inherent in nature but you need to develop them to experience full potential. I'm a Herschel Walker fan, but Idk that I believe his push-up stories! My dude said he did 3,400 push-ups in only 30 mins. Think about that for just a second. I believe that's doing 113 push-ups every minute, for 30 mins straight and not stopping because he told Chael that once he got started, he never stopped until they were complete. Definitely suspicious! There's a lot of strong folks out there and the names of some of the actual strongest men out there, aren't even known. But I HIGHLY DOUBT ANYONE could manage that many non-stop push-ups in 30 mins!
Make the Olymics twice in two different sports 10 years apart is an amazing athletic accomplishment. He is considered by man as the greatest running back in college football history. He spent 3 years in the USFL before going to the NFL, where he currently ranks 12 in NFL history in all purpose yards, 2nd when he retired. Then at 48 years old won two MMA bouts. Curtis Blaydes was knocked out by Ngannou we have already covered that, but Ngannou's record still holds a loss to one Derick Lewis.. stay with me here.
I love that a featherweight sits on top of a chain of wins that includes heavyweights.
I want to hate this but everything that you wrote is true and its hurting my head

Damn that was good MMA math
That was awesome
Just how good is Herschel Walker?

When will he run for President? Got my vote!
Chael, I attended UGA when my DAWGS won the national championship in 1980. Herschel was a leading factor in that championship team. He was nominated in 80' and 81' and won the Heisman in 82'. I actually met the man on campus and can tell you that he was a very humble and fascinating man. GO DAWGS!!!
Herschel actually had 2 fights at Strikeforce and he won both by KO at 48-49 years of age. What an amazing athlete.
strikeforce was a work.... just saying.
Frickin' Hershel Walker was competing in the damn MMA Cage in his 50's. The man is a beast of an athlete
he use steroids
Joseph Babica he had 2 fights, both KOs, and watch the second one it’s very clearly not fixed, the guy was just demolished by a monster in Herschel walker
Walker had a phenomenal physical and athletic presence in every sport I've heard of him participating in. Unfortunately he is a horrendous politician and completely unfit for the position. Still a beast in replays, dude was a monster.
thats just it, hes not a politician, hes fighting for the people and his country
Hes a fucking hypocrite . Rails aganst abortion but paid for two of his gf to have unwanted abortions

Oh boy peanut brain and wimp shaggy chimes in.
He is not a career politician, so that in itself, makes him the better choice. At least he would start out with good intentions!!!
Thank you sooo much for opening my eyes further on Herschel. I am now impressed with both you and him!
He was faster than Bo. People that say Bo was faster than Herschel are living in wonderland.
@@renatolaranja52 In a 100 meters for sure. Bo never did better than 10.35 if I recall correctly. I know Herschel had a much better 100. In a 40 probably about a tie.

Herschel is one of my favorite athletes of all time. Amazing man. And actually we frequent the same restaurant in Southlake and it kills me every time because I’m not the type to intrude on a man while he’s having dinner with his family no matter who he is. But anyhow, maybe I’ll shake his hand one day if I ever see him passing by.
ZR1 LT5 Chris hey drop him him a note on his table without saying anything and leave it up yo him. And it's nice that you respect his privacy and family time.
US Special Forces used to try to take Chael hostage for training. They had to stop because all the guys joined his gym and started MMA.
That is correct.
He did win a NCAA national championship on the 1980 UGA football team . The championship game was played on Jan 1, 1981. But still considered the 1980 National Champions. And he did make the US Olympics team as a pusher on a bobsled team.
@@thomasblankinship98 We just pointing out the lie of him making the 1980 Olympic team. He did not.
Walker also has done ocean front property in Arizona.
This is what role model should be kids.
Hershel ran professional track also. I was at a meet in Dallas Tx in the 80’s. Herschel won the 60m sprint.
Herschel Walker....corner stone on the Mt. Rushmore of athletes.
His son is a cheerleader he kept all the tst for himself
@White Knight true, but naturally he was freaky strong, but the steroids amplified it.
White Knight I mean Herschel was jaaaaaaacked in high school, the guy was so freaky it’s actually ridiculois
How many reps?
I read that about Bo Jackson, who presumably didn't have Herschel's push-up routine. And it was 400 pounds.
Amazing story telling. Thanks for sharing!!
hey, this Herschel Walker guy sounds like an impressive human. Still - senator?
Hope he can add Senator to his incredible resume!!
That's the prayer!! 🙏 I voted for him!
Herschel was a great player, especially at Georgia but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t on the 1980 Olympic team when he was 18. Those Olympics were in the summer before his freshman season at Georgia. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
the Americans boycotted the 80 Olympics
Daveyboy _ Yes, but there were still Olympic trials.
Hey, if Herschel says he was an astronaut on the Space Shuttle. Well, then he's an astronaut.
Herschel Walker is one of the greatest athletes of our time.
Herschel walker is known to stretch the truth. A quick check of the 1980 US Olympic track and field team will show that he was not a member of that team. He may have competed in trying to make it but he is not on record as having made it.
Boy he has done alot wow man you think he would be so tired yeah right and he took care of his kids to right .

Herschel also won several ballroom dancing competitions with his sister when he was in high school and there’s a young lad on youtube who has made videos attempting Herschel’s workouts and his Dad went to UGA and when he walked behind Herschel he said he had no neck because his shoulder muscles were so big.
I got a big belly laugh some years back. As we walked thru the Tennessee fieldhouse. They had a lifesize photo of Herschel running right over Bill Bates..while laughing like a nut I had to ask they said it showed how tough Bates was..loved it rewatch if you've not seen it in years ..
Everybody should be aware of this, Herschel is the hero and we are all side characters.
Would love to see a celebrity boxing match between Dana White vs. Oscar De La Hoya.

The core of Hershel Walkers successes is his strong moral character his integrity, and his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. The latter being most important.

You have to love Herschel Walker, he's undefeated in life, like Chael is in MMA.

Well not undefeated.
He was an ALTERNATE for bobsled.
If I coached an nfl team that was going into the playoffs with a group of injured running backs, I’d call Herschel and offer him $10 million to carry the ball 35 times per game, and I mean today when he’s 60, the guys still runs sub 4.4 in the 40. Just nuts.
My neighbor was the chief equiptent tech guy who tuned took care of all the bobsleds runners etc when Herschel was on the team...... When Herschel came out to push the sled alone for time he obliterated everyones times , not even close
He's said to be the only man that was able to push the sled ( uphill ) for time beating all comers !
A feat not duplicated to this day .
They put him on the team because with his unreal strength n speed they had something nobody else had.......human nitrous !
That team would have won gold , the walker advantage was something nobody had or could come remotely close. A true legal built in head start .
Chael has made some cinematography gains

When push comes to shove I would choose someone who is engaged, trustworthy and honest. I find those to be most valuable.
Physical abilities just like mental ones initially are inherent in nature but you need to develop them to experience full potential. Many if not most never reach our full potential because we lack the self discipline to do so. Hershel has demonstrated his ability to dedicate himself to the job at hand.

Agree 100%. Saw Dion and Bo play in college and Herschel you could tell from TV he was a beast!
Herschel walker was not on the 1980 Olympic track and field team. Could you look it up? He might have competed to make the team, but he was not in the top 10 in any event. Carl Lewis was the star of track and field back in the early 1980s.
Oh and Chael you forgot to mention his 2-0 record in MMA.
