My brother and sister-in-law were also strongly encouraged to terminate a baby's life who was not expected to live. She was expected to be stillborn. They chose life. That baby lived for four days and touched a multitude of lives in those four days. I will never forget the four days I had with that beautiful niece. Life is always worth choosing!
I’m so sorry for your loss. You should be so proud to hold that short season, in your heart, as a blessing (many would suffer bitterness) ❤️ I was given similar advice about my only son, and he’s now 3 years old… and, despite some health challenges, very well! 🎉
I can relate with her so much. In my marriage, I just wanted to be a team, and I wanted to feel needed and wanted. I think we as men can take a while to understand how to relate and how to communicate with our wives, and it’s often through heartache and trials that we grow.
Their honeymoon experience reminds me of my husband and I. I am spontaneous and adventurous. While he is very guarded and cautious. I am still learning to find contentment and just meet him where he’s at. I never wanted to change him. I just thought he’d be a little more fun that’s all.
Definitely understand where she’s coming from; similar to my story; difficult to get a husband to be engaged in the family especially when he himself comes from a disengaged family.
This story means a lot to me, because I really relate with feeling like I'm on a ship with our children, but my husband is on a ship with work and spending time with friends and I often feel so sad because we're left behind. I don't know how to talk with him about it because when I do he gets defensive and angry. I'm going to really pray that the Lord helps me to have a tone and approach that is loving even though I am so hurt...bcs often I realize, especially late at night that I'm angry, but maybe really I'm sad...
I would suggest that you get as much info as you can from Christian audio tapes, books & interviews. So you can learn how others have dealt with these issues that you're experiencing. Much prayer is needed, maybe even fasting.
I work at a children's hospital that we operate and treat all the babies with congenital heart problems. All of them and their parents are truly heroes!!
@Focus I thought this was a regular marriage podcast, and I’m bawling. 😭😭😭 I’VE BEEN THERE TOO! I’m a heart mom. My baby was diagnosed in utero (2020). I was alone to receive his diagnosis and was encouraged to terminate; I did not. It was incredibly tough on our relationship… My husband was refused entry to the vast majority of our prenatal appointments, because of the pandemic… We weren’t able to be at his bedside at the same time, even when he was on life support… the list goes on and on. It did all play into a terrible betrayal. But, we’re fighting back. ❤ Our baby is three now, much healthier than we would have ever anticipated (living with CHD), and we’re adding to our family, through adoption, this year.
I won hundred percent relate to what she said about him being her dream. Him meaning the life they would build together with children, etc. Turns out my husband’s dream and goals were to be celebrated at work and be his employers favorite guy. I need to learn how to be a better cheerleader, I guess. I wish she cared as much about my happiness as he does about the happiness of people outside our home.
Do you fight for it when you're accused of domestic abuse. And they put a protection order on you then lie to get it extended? File for divorce & won't let you see the kids she begged you to adopt 9 months before all of it?
I've seen time and time again that the Lord will vindicate those who are wrongfully accused. If this have or will be taken to court, get a lawyer (I hope it won't go to court). Marriages can be saved, even if the couple get a divorce. If your wife does not want to reconcile, make peace with it. Keep in mind though, that no remarriage can happen until one spouse commits adultery (hopefully neither of you will do so). This journey you're on will require you to pray and fast. Keep your eyes on Christ. He will make a way.....however HE sees fit.
I’m so sorry. That is really difficult… especially being separated from your children. Sending love and prayers. I hope life is in a much better place now ❤

How did you come to the realization? Needing much wisdom....😔🙏
The story of the little girls dream broke me. I’m sobbing as I’m pregnant with my 5th.

You need to look up the meaning of that word.
Thank you! It’s a crazy road, but being a heart mom is a blessing in its own ways 💪🏽🫀 You do very important work!

No, you don't fight for it when that happens. That's pure cruelty that you shouldn't endure. It's purely abuse.
