Just watched your whole resto from start to finish and it's got me feeling way to confident that I could get one that a little more far gone than this road worthy again, great content!
It is my dream car as well and my uncle had one sitting in a shed in the back of my grandmas yard. Sat for 15 years me and my dad got it running. Everything thing resto nation has done to his we have done to ours
Alex Toossi well hopefully I will be able to put up a video about the process so far in the car. Like he said the gas tank hard to get out. It sucks so much. It’s a very simple car in the interior and front trunk. But the engine bay is tight and very hard to mess with small things.
Alex Toossi very true! Is you want one they are quite available but they parts really aren’t. It really depends where you live. Where I live I know where about 12 of them are within 2 hours of my house
You are a lucky man. That all I want to say you bought a rusty non running aw11 mr2 with fully intact c pillar trim. That is the rarest thing for a aw11 mr2
Love the video man! My grandmas cousin has a 1985 mk1 mr2 that has been sitting in a grass field for over 15 years now. I’m in the process of buying it off of her and am really looking forward to fixing it up. Keep up the amazing content!! Finally got confirmation, I officially own 2 aw11’s!! Turns out grandmas cousin had 2. One for parts one to build.
This feels like it is a true celebration of every project car owner's joy, and it's both heartwarming and heartbreaking to see this, knowing what happened to the car in the hands of it's next owner :( Really cannot like this video enough though, and thanks for inspiring us all throughout the build mate. Just wanted to say that since this series and my previous comment, I've gone and bought an F reg T-bar project, which was rescued from a barn. Thanks again, and here's to your next project(s)!
So good mate, i've got my eye on one across the street from my new house, looks in the same condition as yours, i'm just trying to convince teh owner to sell it to me! also that spider *laughs in Australian* ;)
Hello from Auckland , NZ. Great videos, very helpful with the resurrection of my '86 SC. Kept me sane during our 2nd Lockdown. What happened to the car after you sold it?
icy leir studios thanks, glad they’ve been helpful 👍🏻. It got into an accident unfortunately and was too far gone to repair... so as soon as it was saved... it was gone again. Not to worry, I will save another soon
Maybe I have missed it but what was the final issue regarding the poor running and fuel pressure? Channel is fantastic though. Very enjoyable to watch.
Good gawd that FRIGGIN SPIDER!!!?!???)!!)))!
Thank you for saving this car. Remarkable job!!! Cheers!
Hero!

Thanks, this is the reason that I make the videos. Go and get yourself one and enjoy it. Good luck.
My dad had one of these, it is now my dream car

ExcaliberKillr unfortunately I never got to see it, he gave it to his dad after he left to med school

ExcaliberKillr all worth it though, nothing beats a little sports car

That’s epic!! Good luck with it and just shout on here if you get stuck. You going to put a few bits online?? I would be keen to follow the build…
@@Resto.Nation I would love to post some content of the restoration. Where did you find most of the pieces to complete the build?
@@lukasbarth7677 various places. But for used spares I always use neil Jones
Lmaoooooooo the spider!!!!

I agree with the mixed emotions. Can’t be helped tho. Thanks, glad they’ve been enjoyed. Glad you’ve bought one too! Good luck with it... 😎👍🏻
what happened to it?
Very nice video tq guy i enjoy it
Thanks 😊
amazing work and nice video - respect. i've got still a white 89 aw11 myself (greetings from the netherlands).
Thankyou 😎
one day i want to save a bad shape mr2, my dream car!
Do it!!
So good mate, i've got my eye on one across the street from my new house, looks in the same condition as yours, i'm just trying to convince teh owner to sell it to me!
also that spider *laughs in Australian* ;)
Nice touch! At least when they decide to sell it to you, you can just push it home… and then replace the fuel pump 😂
@@Resto.Nation that's it, and probably 50% of the car as well haha
@@TheNuggetProject haha keep me posted! Get another one saved!
That was impressive James 👍👏
Cheers Neil 😎
Really inspiring - and inspired me to go out and do my first car a couple of weeks ago. What news of the new plans? When are we going to find out?
Great stuff. Good luck with it...
No news just yet. All in good time 👍🏻
awesome work!! how much did this all cost?
I did a video on full build cost at the end of the series. It should be in the mr2 playlist on the channel.
i just saw you in an ad for british gas
congratulations!

Adam ST205 it was unresolved unfortunately. The car got sold when I ran out of time... thanks, glad it’s been good viewing 👍🏻
Hi if I paid would you help me to get rid of the rust from my mr2?
No worries. If your happy to wait until the garages are built 👍🏻. Email me when they are and we can sort something. Will probably be early next year
I hope i can do the same, im buying a really bad condition toyota mr2 mk1, its my dream car and I hope I can do the same as you guys but I'm only 16
Buy the best you can and it will help you in the long run. Try to find the least rusty one you can…
@@Resto.Nation oh it's bad and in my country that rusty one is the only left I practically have no choice and I can't really Import
Great job but surely was better put 2 new inner and outer cills into it
