I tried your recipe and began getting my ingredients ready when I realized I had no milk. I used half evaporated milk/ water and then added 1 Tbs vinegar to make the "buttermilk." Everything went well and when I tasted one after they had cooked (took 14 min in my oven), they didn't seem as tasty as I thought they would.. Then I remembered that I hadn't added the butter/ garlic salt. That makes such a difference. Delicious!! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I tried it using 1 C of Heavy Whipping Cream because I had it on hand….(omitted butter and buttermilk). They came out beautifully and so delicious.
I’m old and learned to make biscuits from scratch with lard from grandma. She laughed when I made them with cream of tartar added. Years ago I made some drop biscuits trying to replicate Red Lobster. They were quick and easy and no rolling pin needed. I lost the recipe. Yours is the closest I’ve found! Question though, it seems I used sweetened condensed milk rather than buttermilk. Do I have a case of old timers or is it possible to substitute? Appreciate your opinion in advance!😅PS yours look delicious and you have inspired me to get back in the kitchen and try again ❤
Thank you!! I’ve always used buttermilk, but my mother used sweetened condensed milk sometimes!! NO..you don’t have a case of old timers 🤣🤣🤣I do believe that will work just fine! However, my recipe does call for buttermilk. Thank you so much for watching my video and I know yours are gonna turn out great!!
I've tried once to make biscuits. It was a disaster. I will try again while watching this video. You made it look so easy. I will certainly keep watchin your channel for sure.
Thank you so much! You can do it!!! Remember to brush the top with egg wash or liquid eggs for the best result! Also, if you have a slow cooking oven, don’t be scared to use the broiler to brown them for about a minute right before you take them out! Please let me know how they turned out!👍🏽
You are right I will definitely remember to do that next time. Also, I’ve done this recipe a couple times at my restaurant and I uploaded a couple of shorts on this page as well. You can definitely see the texture on those videos. Thank you so much for commenting.👍🏽👍🏽
Hi, I have updated the ingredients to this recipe in the description to 1 full cup of buttermilk. I apologize if I told you the wrong amount the first time. Again, thanks so much for watching my video.❤️❤️❤️
I’m sorry if I seem so unprofessional to you. However, this is the very first tutorial I’ve ever made!! I’ve only had a channel for five weeks, so I’m really proud of myself. I’ve owned and operated my own restaurant for over 16 years, but I am new to this UA-cam thing. With all the positive comments I’ve had on my channel, I guess I was bound to have a negative one. Anyway, thanks for commenting.👍🏽👍🏽
Take that comment as a compliment! Thank you for making this video! I’m so glad that you don’t come off as so professional as to be upitty. Rather, you seem down home ’Real’ and very approachable! We are in Byhalia and come to Memphis often and will be bringing my family to your establishment ASAP! You have a new follower here 😊

You are the most unprofessional professional I have ever witnessed. If you are a baker. I am not sure
