Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to create content like this and keep aspiring entrepreneurs. Trading forex/crypto, it's almost inevitable that you're going to experience some ups and downs along the way. Alertness and decisiveness are both fundamental ingredients in the recipe for a successful forex trader.

      < There is one thing I have learnt in recent months it is to remain calm, especially when it comes to investment in crypto currency. Learn not to sell in a panic when everything goes down and not to buy in euphoria when everything goes up. I advise y'all to forget predictions and start making a good profit now because future valuations are all speculations and guesses.

      I had someone explain lab created diamonds to me like this once and I can’t let go of it: yes they are created in a lab, but they have the exact same chemical make up as a mined diamond. So is a baby that is “created” through IVF different than any other child? No. Same concept. AND NOW I CANNOT UNHEAR THAT.

    I really think the quality has decreased over the years, but about 15 years ago I received several Tiffany silver items, including some Elsa Peretti pieces. I have to say I’ve worn them almost every day since getting them. They were definitely worth the investment. They just keep getting more comfortable the more I wear them, they look as good as they did when I bought them, and the best part is you get Tiffany customer service for life.

    The only reason you were offered that price for your original diamond was toward an upgrade to make you feel like you are getting a better deal. If you were to sell it back alone no way would you make any profit. And you can get a pre loved Rolex at the right retailer for about half retail.

    What a fantastic video Shea! Even for those of us who aren't in a position to purchase, it's super interesting to find out that things like handbags and watches really can give an excellent return on investment. One question I do have for you though: Do you actually use the things like handbags and watches? Or do they stay tucked away safely protected?

    Question on your investments. Do you have a certain time or circumstance in mind about when you plan to cash in on the investment? Because unless you actually sell the item and exchange money money, you haven’t technically made money. So yes, it doubled in value but you haven’t made double yet because there has been no change in hands. I feel like there are so many people that invest in things and just hang on to them forever because they think they’ll keep going up. I feel like that’s basically just spending the money and potentially not using something to keep it in good condition for no reason. Unless I guess it’s for a rainy day. But what if that rainy day never comes? I’d personally have a timeframe in mind and actually follow throw with selling something if I truly purchased it for investment reasons. Otherwise, I’d just use it and love it and ignore what it’s worth. Great video!!!

    This was so good. I have bought investment bags in the past and sold them at a big profit. I do get annoyed when people say luxury items are bad investments or you will always lose money on them. No they aren’t, you can make good profits. I think the problem is that in order to do so you need to be willing to do masses of constant market research and also to be willing to play the long game and many people aren’t willing to do that. Admittedly you have to enjoy the research to do it but I do. Research is something I enjoy very much.
    You are so right about big brand name jewellery. I have found the same thing with the 2 Tiffany’s pieces I own. The price rises on them on the preloved market have been mind boggling.

    Again, as long as you’re not selling your items for profit, you’re not really “doubling your money”. • @kamm5280
    @kamm5280 2 роки тому +21

    I love this video! For the bags/watches, especially, to me it sounds like these are more investments for your closet (which is great if you love these items and intend to wear them a lot). I wouldn’t really consider these financial investments because it sounds like you don’t intend to sell these. My view is if you don’t actually sell these items, you never make your money back - it’s just an unrealized gain :) I also want to caveat that to sell the asset you own, there needs to be a market for it where you can sell easily - this is especially true for land and cars which can be generally illiquid assets (I.e. can take a while if you actually choose to sell). I know Shea is not a financial advisor so please always do your own diligence into purchasing the right investment for YOU!

    • @beatricerights
      @beatricerights 2 роки тому

      I think the same can be said almost any investment. A house for example is an investment but, it's illiquid until you find a buyer.

    • @kamm5280
      @kamm5280 2 роки тому

      @@beatricerights definitely, you are right. Which is why potential liquidity is a huge driver of investment value. For example, if you are going to invest in a house, then buying one in a hot area is probably going to be easier to sell down the road than something in a remote location (even if your cost was the same).
      It’s all about investment goals and there are so many nuances to it: for some people liquidity of capital is not a problem, some have a longer time horizon, different risk tolerances etc. this video is a shortlist doesn’t cover pros and cons obviously and is a bit biased towards fashion, where the line between investment a qualitative and financial investment is blurred in my opinion

    For most people who are not aware of luxury goods as an 'investment' this video should have explained that not every classic item can make you earn a profit. The item needs to be in excellent condition, no scratches or stains, come with its purchase invoice, authenticity card, dust bag, original box and packaging. Without all these things the value of your item can go down drastically. Also, when you say investment you're using the word too casually in this video. 'Investment' in a luxury item needs to be compared to how much your money would earn if you had put in a bank deposit or a property.

    Do you usually buy your Channel bags Preloved? I have never bought anything preloved before and little hesitant to do so. But very much interested in buying a Classic Chanel Bag and it would be my first Chanel. Any recommendations on buying brand new versus preloved when it comes to owning a classic Chanel bag!

    I am 64, if I had purchased a love bracelet when I first saw it I would have paid $800.00 dollars for it. That is not a typo, $800 was so far out of my league then, that I just could not do it. Today do I wish I had, you bet! Still love the bracelet.

    The true value of an item is what someone actually pays to purchase your item ....will someone really spend $30000 for a bag? Unlikely......

    100% interested in the investing in Rolex 101! I feel like I’ve invested in bags enough that I should look into something like that for my husband lol
    Also on the downer side, it’s kinda sad that the typical ‘American dream’ of owning a home is now a luxury. It’s nothing to do with how Shea includes land in this video, after all it’s just a fact. Sigh.

    So happy to have this video. I just started this journey into luxury so this video is helpful. I will be passing down a few pieces of diamonds but the bags and shoes I hope to find the right time to sell. Thanks for the help.

    Interesting video!! Thanks for sharing info :) I appreciate learning about this even tho I’m not in a position to make large purchases right now. I also know that you aren’t ever bragging - that’s not the point of the video at all and somehow people miss that 🤦🏼‍♀️
    Anyways, I appreciate it!

    The only designer items that I have are all pre-loved. I mostly have coach purses and I purchased them either at a thrift store or on line yard sale sight.
    I love muscle cars. My graduation, my parents got me a 1967 mustang. My Dad, totally restored the car for me. I loved that car, I babied that car, that car was everything. Then one unfaithful morning a drunk driver, t-boned it. It was totaled. The drunk driver had no license, nor insurance. I still cry over my car to this day. I don't think you would be bragging when it comes to yalls car.
    My grandparents, used to say the same thing about land. It is so true.
    Thanks for sharing with us, it was very informative to me.

    Hi Shea, my wife and I watch your videos and find them very informative and entertaining. This video in particular had my interest regarding Rolex watches. We both have older models. Mine is a 1982 and her's is a 1993 women's. I would like to know where you can get the resale values you mention on your videos, since we want to upgrade. We both have 2 tone with diamond bezels. Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work
