I have always HATED the hijab. It is nothing but an aggressive public statement of a girls hyper-religiousity and a direct insult to beautiful young girls who are modern and do not need to go around making insulting statements about political Islam.

1. Man have the responsibility and the rights to tell muslim women to wear hijab & cover their aurat properly, but women still have the freedom to choose which kind of hijab/shawl/khimar to wear.
2. Men in relationships still have the power/choice to control what hairstyle a woman wears. He can say a messy bun is ugly and force the woman to wear braids everyday and blame it to modesty. He can stop/punish short hair women & claims women with short hair arent women. This prooves hijab or no hijab its a problem of misogyny.
3. Saying taking off hijab equals to leaving islam is uneducated. Taking off hijab just results to sin & social punishments, whereas leaving islam is a huge sin & punished under hudud law.
Woman can choose to take hijab off, make sin and still believe on islam just like any other religion believer who can choose to lie, sin and still be a person.
STOP THE STIGMA. TAKING OFF A HIJAB DOESNT MEAN YOURE A DAUGHTER OF DEVIL. ITS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN MURDER OR REFUTING GOD. (*unless you take off hijab because you want to leave islam. its different issues.)
