The idea was to create a bridge between the series and movie. Which is why there are elements of both. It's also what they set out to do with the comics. The game was an overall better experience for me too but I would still love to see Karyn's original cut.
The game and the film were in sync and the game did a great job uniting all the eras of the animated shorts, the short lived serial, AND the film itself. And for those with an eye for detail and an obsession, with the animation, the film holds bountiful treasure in scene design, set design, and the clothing. There was meticulous detail work done to call back and even duplicate 1:1 frames from various episodes. Even the food from the cartoons appeared in the film
Such a shame that the game had to be a movie tie-in. The creators clearly knew and loved the show, but as much as they tried to make the game like the show, they were held back by the movie.
How great would it be to get an Aeon Flux game now in 2022? The mission structure could based off of some of the episodes in the series! Imagine hunting down Bambara or fighting his custodian!

Aeon highly deserves greater recognition!
This commercial was better than the Aeon Flux movie that came with it.
Peter Chung remains an underrated animator.
i wish they make a new game of AEONFLUX . please someone !! make this happen.
