This is the best video at explaining clear coat and blending. Thanks so much for posting this. I'm in the process of trying to fix chips in the paint on my 2013 Silverado. I guess Chevy has a problem with the base not adhering to the primer (bummer), and the shop wanted $3K to fix, which I don't have. I've done pretty well repairing the areas, but still need to clear, and that's been a little intimidating to be honest, but I think you've given me the courage to at least try....
Iam so glad that my video has inspired you and given you the courage to paint your truck. And thank you 🙏 so much for the kind words I appreciate it. Good 👍 luck with your paint job I hope it comes out beautiful.
I always wondered about blending. Most others just say they blended. I ran across another video and found out about blending spray. But this one was more DYI friendly.
As others have said, this is definitely the best video out there on how to use solvent to melt clear in. I’ll be doing a spot repair for a rock chip above my windshield and I feel good about doing it after watching this 👍
I had a friend paint my car but when he buffed it he burned through several areas. Then he left town. This video teaches me how to repair the damaged areas. Exceptional video the best one I've seen , thanks so much just ordered some blender and clear.
Thanks for showing how to use the solvent to blend. I bought some but have been hesitant to use it because I wasn't sure how. Your video and description are clear and professional. Thanks for sharing,
Thank you for taking the time to show and explain this 🤙 back in the day I used to do everything almost exactly as you explained but did not know about a “blender” I basically color sanded and buffed that blend area & on dark colors there was always a faint halo or faint visible edge to me anyway that people basically dont notice but it always annoyed me as a painter, just knowing it’s there. Never tried this and I am about to and excited haha. Basically if I wanted it perfect to me I’d clear the entire panel. It’s amazing how the blender “melts” / blends the edge without dulling the new clear and making it seemless with the old clear. Saves so much time and material etc. I wish I knew this technique decades ago when I did it for a living. Man it puts a whole new perspective on spot repairs.. I’m gonna look to see if you have some tri stage blending vids. I have a couple of tri stage blending tasks awaiting on my project soon and being original paint etc want to keep the painted areas minimal. Luckily it’s pearl white so more forgiving than some other colors but I need it perfect for this project, can’t wait to try it , thanx again main! Liked and subscribed , you get straight to the point , explain and show thoroughly, awesome 🤙🤙
Thanks for the kind words I appreciate. Iam glad you found my technique helpful and I hope it works out for you when you try it. Thanks for subscribing as well I appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the rest of my content. Take care and good luck with your project’s.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. Iam currently not working at a shop so I don’t have that information. Sorry, I will let you know if that changes.
Ive had a lot of luck wetting the blend area with the blender before the clear and then again after. Also it helps to spray with the gun pointed away from the blend area to keep the overspay to a minimum
Thanks for this video man, I've been waiting to fix this area thats cracked on my mustang's quarter panel because I didn't understand how blending works. This video answered all my questions and I feel confident that I can do it now. Thanks and God bless!
DAMN. My Man is a SAVAGE! Clearly a consumate professional. I greatly appreciate the way he explained all of his techniques and why he was working in a very specific way. My Man explained everything so well, that after I finished watching the tutorial, I felt I could go out and easily apply the same techniques! Which, of course, is the furthest thing from reality! But that is the sign of an excellent teacher and a master of a craft; being able to explain a complex subject simply, so that the students can easily understand. Amazing video! 👍💯
WOW, thank you so much for such kind words. I really appreciate when my viewers have a great experience and get all of my knowledge from the explanations that I share in my videos. Thank you.
Great video. Im still trying to get used to doing a clear blend. I have done a few that turned out well. I have a top part of a door that Im trying to blend. The portion where I stopped my clearcoat and burned the edges in looks good, but I'll do like you and spray a little blender a little further past my blend area. That won't look that good. Looks like it will fisheye and look dry. If i try to hand buff it, it starts to roll on me. Im not sure if my blender is bad or what, but it seems to dry and not completely dissolve.
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. Well make sure the area that you stop spraying your clear is sanded with at least a 1000 grit sand paper. You have to make sure your clear is blended right in the area where you finish sanding your blend area. Then right after your second coat of clear coat you apply your blender. P.S. Make sure you don’t base coat all the way to the edge of where you sanded for blend leave at least 12 inches between the base coat and the clear blend. And always make sure to keep your clear blend in the smallest area possible so it comes out smooth.
Dude i get the way its done with the tunnel way you described could you tell me the body part that is in the tunnel like the original bit your fading the blend into what prep did you do on that particular part that your fading on to....Great video and thanks for putting it out there Bro..Im from the Uk and greetings to ya

Great video, thanks. I’ve watched a few different videos of this technique and I noticed that you were the only I’ve seen who applied the blender after the clearcoat was dry. The other examples I’ve seen all showed the same thing you did, except the blender was applied immediately after the final coat of clearcoat - while the clearcoat was still wet. Have you done it both ways, and found your way works better? I like your way because then you would not be rushed for time to quickly apply the blender. Thanks again for the video.
I actually apply the blender while the clear is still wet. The blender works best when it is applied immediately after you apply your last coat of clear coat.
Nice! You explained things that every other vid I've seen on this glosses over (see what I did there?) Like where to stop sanding, where to stop clear. I've seen the bridge. I've seen the blending techniques. But no one ever explained where to sand to vs where to mask. Always wondered, do I sand all way to masked area, then wet sand to bring in blended clear back to gloss? How do I make sure clear doesn't paint over unsanded areas? You covered all that. Then there is the blending product that melts and blends clear. Never even heard of that!
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And I have a video that I made with spray can paint where I sand and mask a bumper for a smart repair blend. Here’s a link 👉ua-cam.com/video/ww5WjFNeMqs/v-deo.htmlsi=7bwX8VU89SRmHKW-
I was always wondering what "blending" means and how it's being done🤔 Looks clear now, good lesson for me, time to spray my own bumper instead of paying $$$. Thanks! 💪
Great video. I'm not sure when to apply the blender. Some posts have zaid to hit it before the clear dries. This video showed that it worked soon after ghe clear flashed.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. Here is a video I just made about when to apply the blender. Check it out 👉ua-cam.com/video/v432DPWoSwc/v-deo.htmlsi=wguK5it2xdjSGAIx
Nice explanation. I am going to use this to attempt some spot rusr repairs on my own using professionally mixed spray paint. Maybe I missed it, but does the clear need to cure before using the blender? Can I use the blender on clear that has cured?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, you have to apply the clear blender right after you apply your last coat of clear coat.
Good video! I've used all kinds of blenders the last 20 years but I just started using that axalta spray can a few months ago, turns out really nice seems to have more clear in it than most blenders but I seem to get quite a few runs when using it, I blend all panels on a vehicle, I noticed you waited a while before doing it, do you think I should let it set for a bit before laying down the blender? Thanks
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And as far as the blender goes, if you’re getting run’s then you should probably wait like 2 to 3 minutes to spray it. And it just needs a light mist with 1 or 2 spritz of the spray and you should be good 👍.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, you have to apply the blender right after you finish applying your clear coat.
Hands down the best video I’ve watched on this topic 👍🏻 I have a crease on my drivers door that’s about 3 inch from the edge, hoping I can get away with it on such a large panel 😂
I am a carpainter and litlebit older than yuo.nice to see video how to do it right.usually these videos to do something is not right.i use same method but only solvent in gun.not spray but spray seem to be easier way.
Very detailed video! Thank you for sharing. Say I have a car door that has fading clear coat in one small area that went down to basecoat. Since I’m gonna be spraying whole complete door panels with clear do I have to have this stuff??? Or is this only for jobs that you’re not gonna clearcoat whole panels!!?! Thank you for your time. 😊
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, this technique is only used when you’re not going to clear coat the whole panel. Here’s is a video I made, that shows you how to fix clear coat that’s pealing. Link 👉ua-cam.com/video/k2hZLNcNVaw/v-deo.htmlsi=jYU6cmvGLqeKkjCT
I just found your channel and agree that this is the best explanation on clear blending, my only question would be about the buffing process on the blend area? I usually have to cut and buff because of dust, can the blend area be buffed also?
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it. Yes it can be buffed but it only needs a light buff with rubbing compound and a good glaze and the blend will disappear.
Thanks for the video this helped me so much. I didn't want to paint the entire panel. This will defff help me alot blending my widebody fenders I just molded on my car.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it and to answer your question, you have to apply the blender right after you finish applying your second coat of clear.
Yes check out this video I made about that very question👉ua-cam.com/video/v432DPWoSwc/v-deo.htmlsi=-lBbS0eJ4oiX2L0j. Good 👍 in that video. You might also want to check out the video I made on how to polish a clear blend check it out here 👉ua-cam.com/video/mC0k6kQrYMY/v-deo.htmlsi=kEI3bjvEHmOQOXQ3
I think you can but iam not 100 percent sure. I’ve definitely blended single stage paint using this method but I’ve never done it with lacquer. If I were you I’d try it on a small spot of something that you do a test on and then go with it if it works. Good 👍 luck.
Masking up certain parts of the car,Also if over spray with base coat and you get a spec in the paint how to get it out then spray with clear the little problems that can happen cheers. Can you use Clear for all base coats, plus 2.1 ratio or setup base coat.cheers.
I have most of those videos on my channel already. If you go to my channel you can check all the videos I’ve already made and I cover most of those topics.
Wow love the paper trick 😱👍🏻 question iam fixing and match spray bomb a small area on my daughters 2021 Versa . I going to use 2k spray clear ….Can I blend the clear over paint blend half way down fender . Without any reducer-blender
I would never do a blend like that on a fender it just won’t look right. You will be better off just blending your base coat and clearing the whole fender. It will come out a lot nicer and more professional looking. And thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
I couldn't agere more with the previous post. I've been watching so many of these so-called smart repair videos because I'm in the middle of doing one. Finally, a "clear" (pun intended) explanation of where the sand ing ends, the grits, where the base ends, where the Clearcoat ends, & where to use the blender. I feel so much better now & ready to go! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you..... PS Seems to me that now the biggest hurdle is matching the base color. Does the color ususally match or do you have to make adjustments to the formula??
First I want to say Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I really appreciate it. Second, before you start putting paint on a car you should always check to make sure you’re color matches the paint on the car. Once you know the color matches, when you blend your bumper it should blend seamlessly into the color on the car.
Not really. I usually do blend on the smallest part of the panel so it doesn’t fail. Plus bumpers are always getting damaged so eventually they will probably get repainted or replaced.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, the bridge I created was with paper and tape and the purpose is to make sure you stop in the right place with the clear so the blend is nice and soft and melts into the rest of the panel. If you don’t want to create a bridge, what you want to do is keep the paper at least 20 inches away from the blend to avoid a hard clear line. Remember the blend has to be polished with compound once everything dries. Good luck 👍.
Check out this video I made to explains how I sand and blend a bumper. Here’s a link that might help explain 👉ua-cam.com/video/ww5WjFNeMqs/v-deo.htmlsi=Udk7oWjkyNR9a4Wi
@J.Lulo_ thank you sir I'm gonna be doing some blending on my mustang I painted. Had a Lil issue with fender but now I understand how to blend in now. I appreciate your great videos as much as everyone else does as well!!! Thank you again I enjoy watching your videos!!
I appreciate you taking the time to comment and share how much you appreciate my videos. It really means a lot to me that my videos are helping you. Thank you 🙏 again for the kind words I appreciate it.

Check them out a lot of good information in these videos.
At last a clear explanation about how to blend the clear. Most talk too much about the paint and not enough about the actual blend area. Thanks man xx - Can I just clarify - You only clear over the sanded area? No clear (apart from overspray) on the shiny?
Awesome video! Like earlier comments, I've also watched a bunch of these videos, and yours makes it easy to understand, so good job on that! I was under the impression that I needed to use blender on the base coat too, but I see you only use it on the clear. Would you use blender on the base coat if you were working with metallic paint?
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it. The base coat blender is different than the clear coat blender. I have a video on how to blend metallics if you want to check that out. Here’s a link to that video 👉ua-cam.com/video/e0HRcgbAOhQ/v-deo.htmlsi=lm9O3LW3-Lws-0Nz

I'm very confused. On your step that you laid your base, you stopped before covering your previous 1k grit to blend. Was that 1k sanded base or clear that you laid your new base layer over?
When ever I do any blending the panel that iam blending is always sanded with 1000 grit sand paper. When I do my clear blend I stop my base coat about 12 inches away from where iam going to do my clear blend.
I have about 10 round holes in my clear coat on the roof of my car. I don't have the courage, budget or equipment to sand and repaint the entire roof and adjoining c pillars. As a short to medium term fix do you think it's possible to simply patch these holes with clear coat? Say I carefully deoxidised and sanded the exposed paint and a few inches of the surrounding clear with 1000 grit, then spray new clear with some overlap. Finishing with some 1500 - 2000 grit and a good buff to sort of blend the new clear with the old. Even if the holes are still visible because the paint underneath remains somewhat discoloured, I would still be happy with it being glossy again across the whole roof. It's an old car and doing a full sand and respray would look too new anyway. Thoughts?
Those sound like fish eyes to me. Yeah you could sand it down with 1000 grit and then re-clear it. It won’t come out perfect but it will at least fill in some of those fish eyes or holes as you described them.
But I would sand the hole roof and re-clear the hole roof making sure to hit the spots that look like holes to flatten them out a little with out breaking through the clear into the paint.
How long should you wait after top coat to spray the blender. Or do you do it straight away? How much time do you have after you have done the top coat. It seemed as though you weren't in too much of a hurry to get it on. Great video by the way. Very informative.
The area between the blend and shiny area gets lightly polished with some compound and glaze. And that will remove any overspray and transition the blend into the rest of the panel.
You just give it a light buff with a little bit of compound and glaze. Depending on how good your blend comes out , you might even be able to do it by hand.
My cousin worked at a body shop over 25 years ago and he used to to this. If I remember correctly it was called Sickens. Why do most body shops today want to paint the whole quarter panel? Is it for warranty purposes?
Nice stuff if it doesn't fade away in time. Unfortunately i cant find Axalta 790 where i live. Closest thing seems to be Standox smart blend plus. Made by the same group. I hope is the same thing
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And yes hopefully it doesn’t fade over time. But it’s a city car and with time iam pretty sure that bumper will be replaced before anything happens to that clear blend. City car bumpers get a lot of abuse and damage.
I always spray the blender right after my last coat of clear coat. It’s better to spray the blender while the last coat of clear is still fresh. It blends it out smoother this way.
Hi , the best video, exactly the explaination I was looking for. One thing if I may ask, Do you spray the blender as soon as you finish the last clear coat, or let it flash 10 minutes and spray the blender ? Many thanks 😊
Yes that’s exactly the way to do it. The blender has to be sprayed right after the second coat of clear. That’s the best way to blend and melt the clear properly.
If you mean that the color on the bumper is a little bit off than yes you definitely can do this technique on 3 stage pearls. In most cases this technique is used to match the color on the bumpers when painting the panels next to the bumper.
No one ever before explained to me how to blend or how to do it. You are a monster.
Thank you
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words i appreciate it.

Thank so much for the kind words I really appreciate it.
Wish the sanding was shown. Did you hand sand or 6" DA sand? Or a combo of both. Great video.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And I have a video that I made with spray can paint where I sand and mask a bumper for a smart repair blend. Here’s a link 👉ua-cam.com/video/ww5WjFNeMqs/v-deo.htmlsi=7bwX8VU89SRmHKW-
Awesome video! You explain things very well for people to understand. Thanks!!!
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
I was always wondering what "blending" means and how it's being done🤔
Looks clear now, good lesson for me, time to spray my own bumper instead of paying $$$.
Thanks! 💪
You’re welcome 🙏 thank you for watching.
Very thorough explanation, thank you. Would had loved to see a few pictures after the detail.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Cool😎! Im gonna try this!👌🏽
Thank you for sharing this awesome video!
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it.
Great video, exactly the explanation I was looking for. 👌 I'll report back in a week and share my thoughts after giving this technique a go
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. I hope my technique works for you like it works for me. Good luck and let me know how it works out.
I just started following you, love the way you explain process
Thank you 🙏 for subscribing and welcomed the channel. I hope my videos help you with your projects.
@@J.Lulo_ thank you!
Your welcome 🙏 anytime.
Hello thanks for you video, quick question; when should I apply the bender? Once the clear coat is dry?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, you have to apply the blender right after you finish applying your clear coat.
Excellent thanks
You’re welcome 🙏.
Hands down the best video I’ve watched on this topic 👍🏻 I have a crease on my drivers door that’s about 3 inch from the edge, hoping I can get away with it on such a large panel 😂
Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it.
I am a carpainter and litlebit older than yuo.nice to see video how to do it right.usually these videos to do something is not right.i use same method but only solvent in gun.not spray but spray seem to be easier way.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Thank you ,thank. You for this. Nice instruction i”m was looking for a whole week, profesional and clear. Thanks
You’re welcome 🙏. Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Great video, than you for doing it, will the clear last doing this? I guess I’m asking if it will peel?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, no the clear shouldn’t peel.
@@J.Lulo_ thank you so much!!
nice work so how long the wait time after base coat before i clear coat and blending? or this can be apply right away?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, you can apply the blender right after your last coat of clear.
Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for your time! Appreciate it. I’ll check your other video out.
You’re welcome 🙏.
Also gained a subscriber 👌👊
Thank you 😊 I really appreciate it.
great video!! how long did you wait before applying blender to the clear?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And to answer your question, I apply the blender right after my second coat of clear.
Great video, I have learned a lot as well as that blender spray, never heard of that before, thanks for the video!!!
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. Iam glad that your learning from my videos.
I have Spray Max 1K Spot Blender (can). Is that blended the same way ? Again Thank, Steve
Yes, that should work just the same.
That is a great idea. I've never seen that. Great video!!
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Thanks for the video this helped me so much. I didn't want to paint the entire panel. This will defff help me alot blending my widebody fenders I just molded on my car.
Your very welcome 🙏 and Iam glad that my video helped you with your project. Good 👍 luck with your paint job.
Amazing video man, I'm currently attempting a repair on my own car and this was so helpful.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Great video, thanks! Do you wait for the clear to fully cure before melting?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it and to answer your question, you have to apply the blender right after you finish applying your second coat of clear.
I’m assuming the blender goes on when the clear is still wet? Straight after?
Yes check out this video I made about that very question👉ua-cam.com/video/v432DPWoSwc/v-deo.htmlsi=-lBbS0eJ4oiX2L0j. Good 👍 in that video. You might also want to check out the video I made on how to polish a clear blend check it out here 👉ua-cam.com/video/mC0k6kQrYMY/v-deo.htmlsi=kEI3bjvEHmOQOXQ3
Thanks for the video, it is very in depth about blending the clear coat.👌
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Thanks for the video J, quite helpful!
You’re welcome I’m glad my video is helpful to you.
Can you blend Acrylic lacquer into 2k clear using this product?
I think you can but iam not 100 percent sure. I’ve definitely blended single stage paint using this method but I’ve never done it with lacquer. If I were you I’d try it on a small spot of something that you do a test on and then go with it if it works. Good 👍 luck.
@@J.Lulo_Thanks for the reply.!
You’re welcome 🙏.
Nice blend! I usually get stressed about waiting too long to use the blender but you didn't seem to so now I WILL NOT! =)
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
@@J.Lulo_ thanks
You are welcome 🤗
Sorry if you explained this already, but since the blended area has thinner clear coat, have you experienced it failing after sometime?
Not really. I usually do blend on the smallest part of the panel so it doesn’t fail. Plus bumpers are always getting damaged so eventually they will probably get repainted or replaced.
Good video and good explanation. Can you use a soft edge with paper instead of the bridge you show? Thanks
So what about the mating surface between the bumper and the quarter panel?
I do my very best to make sure that I prep that area very well to make sure that there is no failure between the bumper and the quarter panel.
How long do you want to wait from the time you spray your clear to when you spray your blender?
Right after you spray your last coat of clear is when you want to apply your blender.
What kind of clear blender do you use in spray can? Excellent video my friend!!!!!
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. I use axalta 790 and U-Pol#9 here is a Amazon affiliate link 👉amzn.to/3TQTo95
@J.Lulo_ one more question before you painted and blended did you wett sand or dry sand with 400 ,600,1000 to prep surface?
Yes. Here are 3 videos that I made explaining the process way. 1.ua-cam.com/video/ww5WjFNeMqs/v-deo.htmlsi=Q7BLiy1DUf0PsgDR 2.ua-cam.com/video/v432DPWoSwc/v-deo.htmlsi=hF6NKw7m2NSbeU22 3.ua-cam.com/video/mC0k6kQrYMY/v-deo.htmlsi=ude5k62G7eTA8t40. Check them out a lot of good information in these videos.
excellent video, never seen a video on this so this great ! try one on flow coating .
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
At last a clear explanation about how to blend the clear. Most talk too much about the paint and not enough about the actual blend area. Thanks man xx - Can I just clarify - You only clear over the sanded area? No clear (apart from overspray) on the shiny?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And yes you can only clear over the sanded area apart from the over spray where it’s blended.
do you let the clearcoat dry first before using the the blender on the overspray or while it is still fresh and not fully dry?
You spray it while is still fresh.
What's the time frame for doing the blending? Right after clear, 20min after, anytime after etc.?
Here is a video I made to answer that question check out this link 👉ua-cam.com/video/v432DPWoSwc/v-deo.htmlsi=Wv6HGcUaPvX7xcL8.
How many minutes before you use the blender after the clear coat? Thank you!
The blender has to be applied right after the second coat of clear.
How long do you wait for clear to dry before blending and melting?
Right after you finish applying your last coat of clear coat.
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it. And the spray blender goes on right after the second coat of clear.
...and, after spraying your last coat of clear coat, how long do you wait to spray your "blender"?
Right after you finish your second coat of clear you spray the blender.
Buddy this is the video I was looking for thank you 👍
You are welcome iam glad my video was helpful to you.
hi
the shiny clear part did you polished it or just clean it.
thanks
The area between the blend and shiny area gets lightly polished with some compound and glaze. And that will remove any overspray and transition the blend into the rest of the panel.
This is a great well explained video on blending 👍
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Hi, excellent, the best video I have found to make a nice paint job on an element. wonderful explanation.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
How do you polish this later? Any scuffing needed or just with the heat and comping on the buff ?
You just give it a light buff with a little bit of compound and glaze. Depending on how good your blend comes out , you might even be able to do it by hand.
Well done!👏
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Awesome video
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it.
Awesome video, thank you ! Going to try blending black on the hood of my 3rd Gen Camaro that my kid spilled lacquer thinner on, 🤬
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And Good luck with your Camaro blend.
My cousin worked at a body shop over 25 years ago and he used to to this. If I remember correctly it was called Sickens. Why do most body shops today want to paint the whole quarter panel? Is it for warranty purposes?
Yes. Plus most body shops that work on insurance jobs usually give there customers a lifetime warranty on the work that was done to the car.
Good luck with the standox smart blend plus iam pretty sure it will work just fine.
@@J.Lulo_ thanks for the answer. Nice tips on this channel. I will keep an eye on these vids
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Excellent video. Do you let the clear get tacky before blend or just blend in wet clear
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. I blend my clear right after my second coat to get a nice melted clear blend.
@@J.Lulo_ straight into the wet clear?
Yes 👍
How long should I wait after last coat of clear before I can apply the blender. Thanks
I always spray the blender right after my last coat of clear coat. It’s better to spray the blender while the last coat of clear is still fresh. It blends it out smoother this way.
The best video, Very good explanation thank you 4sharing your knowledge
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Hi , the best video, exactly the explaination I was looking for.
One thing if I may ask,
Do you spray the blender as soon as you finish the last clear coat, or let it flash 10 minutes and spray the blender ?
Many thanks 😊
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it. And you want to spray the blender right after you finish your second coat of clear. No flash time.
Yes that’s exactly the way to do it. The blender has to be sprayed right after the second coat of clear. That’s the best way to blend and melt the clear properly.
Can I use this technique on 3layer pearl as the colour is off a little bit?
If you mean that the color on the bumper is a little bit off than yes you definitely can do this technique on 3 stage pearls. In most cases this technique is used to match the color on the bumpers when painting the panels next to the bumper.
