To get the owl bear is usually just talk to it once, poison the drinks at the party and then if I talk to it again it’ll go to my camp. Never need to talk to the handler
It's funny, destroying the Necromancy of Thay is what I did on my very first playthrough of the game. I was playing a Paladin, and it just seemed right.
Same! Played a cleric of light who wanted nothing to do with that evil shit, saw the radiant damage vulnerability, and got extremely excited when the shadows spawned because light domain clerics have “radiance of the dawn” as a channel divinity :3 i had been looking for an excuse to use that one effectively up until that point and genuinely squealed in excitement when it actually managed to get rid of the shadows immediately. Cool little detail!
ahahaha. Suicide!!! The Harpers' treasure under the rock is reached by jumping (without damage) over the edge where the boar is (pointed out by Astarion when you meet him)
Coincidentally I just took down the goblin camp then defended the grove without ever speaking to Volo (he ran off when the combat started). Now I'm speaking to him at the party for the first time and I get the option "wait, who are you?" He seems to have a fair bit of unique dialogue for this, but I don't know this for sure.
Wow, they really thought of everything? How incredibly complex was their decision matrix? They created animation and voiced dialogue for literally one in a million of players.
Lol.. that one near Shadowhearts beachlocation I was totally oblivious too - so tnx! The First one you showed near Astarion I did know about. I would however have taken the path near the boar instead to not loose all that health.
I think its barbarian but you can get a special choice when interrupting the bug bear and trolls special time. You make fun of his size and the troll will say the moment is ruined and they both leave.
With Owlbear, I just started the chase, talked to Owlbear and told him where to go to win, then goblin refused to pay me, so I intimidate her, got all money back and could talk to Owlbear to go to the camp. No need to use all the trickery, just high CHAR helps ;).
The Shadows from destroying the book are worth a good hunk of early game XP. They're LVL 5, but they are weak to light and radiant damage, so not too challenging if you're prepared and do the book burning outdoors. It's probably a better choice than the other uses for the book in most playthroughs.
@@AnastasiaAisling Yes ! Haven't used those in a while (either, frankly) Unfortunately, dance macabre is an act 3 thing, however if I'm not wrong - beckoners work on flying ghouls without madding out, however it's a single summon during act 2. Spore zombies should work as well.
@@AntwKats Yes, and it also adds one "try" to the hidden formula for getting the special stat boost via the mirror. It's arguably still not worth it though. You should do a video anout what happens if you meet the Ogers in the Blighted village for the first time AFTER you grt the Brand of the aabsolute from Priestess Gut. Most people meet them before they get to the Goblin camp, so they ask to see the Brand, and then you have tp either convince thwm you work for the Absolute without having the brand, or you figgt them. But what if you DO have the brand?
Wait wait wait. People dont destroy the book? I destroyed it on my first playthrough because it was VERY CLEARLY evil lol i kept it on an evil playthrough of course just to see the content but the fact that most players dont destroy it, blows my mind.
I'm on playthrough 7, and I've never even destroyed it just to see what happens. My first playthrough I was a lawful good necromancer (basically my IRL D&D character, her backstory was as an investigator who would use Speak With Dead to solve murders), and if there's one thing Thay is known for, it's necromancy. So I *had* to study the book. And I loved Danse Macabre enough that I've always had a party member read the tome. If you don't want to read it, let Astarion. He has some unique interaction with the book. It tries to tell him to kill the party and he's like "no, I won't kill them...well, maybe Gale"
It surprised me that people miss the 2 chests mentioned in the video. However, there are a few lootables in Act 1, which I thought were even more hidden: A magic bard hat in a chest behind Alfira, when she's struggling with her song. A magic lamp (magic may or may not be included) just behind the north wall of Moonhaven (Blighted Village) in a hole. A locked chest high up on the stone pillars behind Arron in the Emerald Grove. A romantic goblin's stash just south of the Goblin Camp, "Down By the River" below the bridge. Got an Arrow of Dragon Slaying from there once, but I think it's random
The amount of content that's recorded/animated for super niche scenarios never ceases to amaze me.
The best hidden act 1 thing I came across myself was de love letter to minthara behind the waterfall 😄
Yeah, and under the bridge there's some soap and a washbasin, implying the guy's probably bathed just to appeal to her more 😁
where is that ?

Not a Paladin but yeah from a roleplaying perspective I didn't have a lot of reason for my half wood elf ranger/rogue to keep a creepy book.

When I played the game about a year ago my first instinct was to Guiding Bolt the Necromancy of Thay, lol. Same thing happened.
And since the Shadow that spawns is an Lvl. 5 Enemy, enjoy the pain fighting it during act 1(before the Githyanki Creche)
I would never have known about the drunk tiefling girl... now I have to dance with her. Goodbye Lakrissa

Larian is known to have had a giant wall with a map of all possible choice/consequence for Dragon Commander, ala Sherlock Holmes.
The amount of content for this game is INSANE! O.o

Gribbo is a grade S dancer lmao
After playing hide and seek I found a stuffed owlbear! It's the best! Does nothing but still cool
Thanks for your hard work ! ❤

This of branding everyone is pretty old, i always do that so they can use the bonus of the "absolute" items. But the rest of the video is very good.
Obviously you should have played "Cotton Eyed Joe" when she danced. 😋

I have a question about Zae. Will she also replace Lakrissa through act 2 and act 3 ? Or is the dance party the only time you encounter her?
My Gale is literally wearing the same robe and bracers
what is that rare item in krolla's inventory at 2:05?
Flint's flail - he sold it to her
