- Today I am flying from Europe to the USA, and I found a business class flight that I only needed to pay $200 for. I share all about the journey including the food, the lie flat seat, and how I booked it :)

I myself as a Dutchy always loved to fly with KLM because of the great experience there. Always clean, rarely turbelances etc. I would love to esperience the business someday! Great video!

Dreamliner refers to the 787, which the first pic showed wearing the KLM livery. The second KLM airplane shown was a 777. Also now I want to fly KLM business class too!
Yeah seems like there was a bit of a mix-up there. This specific seat is only on the Dreamliner for KLM as all their 777 business class is currently 2-2-2.
That’s why I’m confused, lol. 😂

Hey again !!! nice review again. I live in Amstelveen which is south from Amsterdam and really close to Schipol airport. I have done Business class with KLM a few times and I have never been disappointed !!!.
FYI About the dutch houses, Some of them are some how replicas of real houses or places in Amsterdam

My first KLM flight was in 1957 on a DC-7 from Vienna to Amsterdam. Schipol was a nice small airport. Now it looks like a railroad station. Flew on their Electra, Constellation and Vickers Viscount. KLM and Swissair were my favorite airlines in those days. Have not flown with them since 1998. Crazy that from Frankfurt it was 65,000 miles vs. 150,000 from Amsterdam. Thanks for the tip. I will fool around with different cities next time when I check.

I found that flying Delta [also KLM & Air France] B777 First Class to Zurich, the bulk head lie flat seat did not give as much room as the sequential FC seats. I'm 6'-3" and I could not stretch out. This was about 12 years ago, and don't know if that mattered. I was told by a frequent FC flyer behind me, an American who lived in Zurich, that Delta had the worst and American the best of lie flat seats. Did Delta make changes since then?

I've watched to get a business class seat on a klm flight to Seattle in December. It is by far not 8000 dollars. It is about 1400 euro, 1500 dollars. Still a lot, but not what you said people have to pay. Did you book a flight on Thursday or Friday? Those are hella expensive.

I love the travel hacking tips! How do you rebuild Amex points so quickly though? I know they give you the initial bonus when you sign up, but then building points after seems to always take so long. Seems like you’ve booked several first class/business class flights with points recently and would just love to understand the how a bit more! Thanks 🤙🏼
I have like 6 credit cards haha but sometimes I buy points too. Airlines will do buy one get one deals and if it makes sense I’ll stock up on a bunch

As a Dutch I can say KLM is too expensive and not good enough. Also since Covid It became not reliable and the customer service used to be good and now its terrible.
You lucked out with that seat. They seem to mostly offer the old style seat which is pretty crappy compared to that on the Dreamliner. My other half flew AMS>IAH with them recently on a 777-200ER and she said it was pretty crappy. The KLM Crown Lounge is nearly always oversold as well. Edit to add: that sounded a bit too negative, she also said the food was excellent and she had the same menu choice as you including the 'Hollands garnarlen'. She didn't use the cruet clogs she brought them home to put outside the little Delft Blue pottery houses! There's hard liquor in them as well although as far as I know nobody ever drinks it!
Yeah unfortunately may of their planes are old fashioned. I purposefully chose this route because I knew it had the Dreamliner. Hopefully they update their fleet soon!!
Why does this seem like a common experience? They changed from Dreamliner to 200ER for me on the same route as well! Air France is a bit better in my experience but still two sides of the same coin in some ways

CORRECTION 787-900 AKA DREAMLINER used all caps cause you will notice to make notes for next video I'm just glad you didn't call 747 the airbus a380 that be a bit of a mistake aviation fans WILL correct ya a loud way if you tell the pilots driving the plane they might give you the stern look say piloting the plane 😆 hope might help you in future videos

KLM is a disaster with their service. You wouldn’t believe their European business class service with o meat fish or cheese or even bread. And wooden cutlery
Hi Jordan. I do not want to sound rude but I didn't think this was a great airline for price. The seat was kinda small, no topper for seat, and the food looked kinda small. Is it me? Yes the houses, salt and pepper shakers, entertainment was probably great but they lock the windows, no pj's, ect. Maybe I'm being picky but it's just because I'm used to a higher end airlines. Like I said I do not want to rude and I wouldn't want anyone thinking I am so maybe the food was good and you do get a good sleep. As long as you get to where your going I guess that's half of the battle. Thank you Jordan for sharing and I can't wait to see where you end up next. Safe travels my friend
You are definitely correct. It is a nice flight for the miles price but I would never pay that cash fare. They were absolutely lacking in some areas.
Also You only get pj’s in First Class.
The food looked small?? Idk to me it just looks normal. The seat is the same as the most of the business class seats in the industry. And the seat is actually better then other in the industry so idk what ur talking abt....
I've watched so many vlogs about airlines and I guess the only airlines that come with young, slim, fresh face and nice hairstyle female flight attendants are Asian Airlines (Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, ANA, KAL, Asiana, China Airlines, EVA Air, Garuda, etc.).
