I flew Air Canada from Vancouver Canada to Bisbane Australia. For the 15 hour flight, I got a premium round trip ticket. I was also on a 787 Dreamliner and loved it. Didn't even have jetlag (something that Boeing has designed to reduce on Dreamliners). I was upset I didn't have (free) access to the Maple louge but that was OK since I knew I would eat on the plane. Coming home, they upgraded me to Business and I was just spoiled. When the Captain said they might land an hour early, I was like 'No, take your time.' I've yet to check out Economy so thank you for this video. I'm a fan of Air Canada and the Dreamline is my favorite plane to fly on.
Unfortunately, Economy class is miserable. The seats are way too narrow for normal sized human beings. The only way it's tolerable is if you wind up with a child or someone you love in the seat next to you. They really should have configured it 2-4-2 to give everyone an extra inch or two of room.
Well done, nice to see all 3 classes reviewed on the same flight. As for menu, they also put this on their app so you can see before the flight what will be served. While their business class might not stack up against some other carriers it’s still a pretty good seat in the sky. I have flown their business class a number of times to Europe, Asia and Australia and found them to be good for the most part. Heathrow lounge is great in fact I would rate it better than some of the other Star Alliance lounges. Enjoy your reviews.
I flew Air Canada economy in February. The IFE and seat were great. The food was poor. That was true of both the outbound (LHR to Vancouver) and return flights. Each had one poor main meal and and one poor snacky meal.
Obviously Maz got the better business class meal for the first service than Liam which explains her excitement. 🙂 I also love the Maple Leaf lounges, we also have a smaller one here in Frankfurt in Terminal 1 at the B gates which is my preferred non first class lounge in Frankfurt Terminal 1 since it is better and quieter than the Lufthansa business class and Senator lounges. Singapore Airlines even sends their first class passengers to the Maple Leaf lounge or alternatively to the Lufthansa Senator lounge for their short Frankfurt stop on their way from JFK to Singapore. Most passengers prefer the Maple Leaf lounge over the Lufthansa Senator lounge which is not really better than a Lufthansa business class lounge and hell, nobody knows why Lufthansa Senator lounges qualify as first class lounges in the Star Alliance.
@@royalfatk1dd Round trip Vancouver to Toronto May of last year: economy class, $278. Flying business class, lay down seats Vancouver to Mumbai in November (17+ hour flight): $3217. Always travel with them. It's always been a great airline for me.
Flown AC four times from Europe to YYZ, probably the worst airline over the pond. So bad food, limited IFE and worst of it all rude cabin crew. Definitely my last choice. Also flown them domestically from Toronto to Vancouver and to Ottawa and back. Not impressed. My gf flew their business class from Europe to YYZ. Food didn't look good, no dine on demand.. just a week product. Would be nice if AC finally would try to do a bit more for their customers.
I enjoy flying Air Canada, no complaints so far. Will be trying their International Business Class this month. Looking forward to the Signature Suite Lounge at YVR, it's a step or two up from the Maple Leaf Lounge.
Nicky getting three seats in Economy is not flying Economy. It's lucky bonus Economy, rivalling the more expensive seats; crucially, with the right know-how, virtual lie-flat bed when you need it

Its always such a surprise time when being in the Air Canada Lounges :P . LA Maple Leaf Lounge? Awful. Packed half the time (I got told to come back because it was so full the ASSIGNED seating was used up), a lil salad + drink bar that was mostly empty. but then in the Toronto one it had an amazing buffet, all stocked liquor, so much privacy (lots of space). So its always a "what am I going to get" because for the same price the experience is SO different with AC lounges at different airports. Maybe I just caught LA on a bad day, but it seemed wild to me to have such a small space considered a "lounge". There was lots of grumpy people :P
Interesting how you included a file photo shot of the Dreamliner in the awful ‘Frosted Leaf’ livery aka the ‘Toothpaste livery’. The new scheme and that of the plane you flew in, has to be the smartest livery in the skies today!
Hi, That was...interesting, the lounge in Heathrow for Air Canada very nice indeed, nice comparison between the three classes of travel, economy good seats, premium nice and Business nice, but saying that comparing with Emirates, I prefer Emirates as their products looks way nicer. The same could be said about the food, the call bell challenge, I wouldn't expect a very long wait for the flight attendant in the upper more premium cabins and economy, you can be waiting a while and let's totally be honest here, there will be more seats and more people to tend to their needs in economy so you expect quite a wait, at least the service delivery is decent.
Can't believe I missed you all flying out on AC. I hand over the catering on AC at LHR. You need to do another review as we have now changed caterer (now the same caterer as VS out of LHR). Love to see what you all think of the change.. 😊
Have always holidayed with TUI, and for some reason, they are using less of their own planes. Air Canada seems to be replacing a lot of TUI's planes, so nice to see what we are getting.
United Denver to Japan business class IMO was the best business class flight ive ever been on. Food, service, seat, entertainment...they lacked a drinks menu like some other airlines. Tops Qatar, Etihad, Singapore, JAL, Delta, AA, and BA (the ones ive flown)
I've never been on an Air Canada flight in J class and not been given a menu, even if there isn't a choice on an 1 1/2 hour flight, you at least get a card with what you can expect. On any long haul flights there has always been 3 or 4 choices of main dishes. I think there was probably a catering problem on this flight and Air Canada wasn't told what they were getting from the caterer. There has recently been a strike with Air Canada's catering provider in Toronto, perhaps the issues extend to London.
Flew Air Canada once roundtrip from SFO-LHR with stops in Canada. With the exception of the plane changes, the service on board was of the best I've had flying economy.
I had the misfortune of flying Air Canada last year from Heathrow to Vancouver and back....with the exception of one lovely, and frankly embarrassed, crew member, the rest were surly, uninterested, unfriendly and one of them was overtly racist toward the Asian passengers. He made several unacceptable comments and woke one of the passenger by hitting his turban and then insisted that he had his meal even though the poor guy told him that he was ill and didn't want it. I emailed Air Canada about it but obviously got no reply.....
I flew business on the A330s last year, I got a flatter pencil-case style amenity kit and no slippers! Also, that toothbrush is an insult to anyone that uses it, otherwise the kit was great
Must have been some sort of catering disruption as, having flown AC in biz and premium numerous times, you're always given a full menu in both classes. I love AC's premium economy because, even though we weren't shown the correct meal, the premium is is very close to that of biz, all on china, metal cutlery except all courses served on one try.
Maybe catering changed the menu or something and they couldn't reprint? Usually they are pretty good at providing one and it's also on the AC app and on the IFE.
Question on Premium Econ. Can you recline enough not to have your head bobbing as you sleep. I’m a person that could’nt care less about the food or amenity kit. I’m only paying for the recline. 😂
It looks as though AC is trying to cater for the Indian market whilst knowing the Brits enjoy a curry too. I’ve experienced AC Business Class a few times to and from Canada and always felt it was a solid product.

Having flown a lot of AC in the last years, their decline has been pretty obvious. The food has always been pretty bad, but the service has become awful as well. How could they not know what food they're serving? It's 2 different dishes and they should be on their load sheet. It can't be that hard. They simply don't care and I feel you could have called that out a bit more.
you are going to find excellent Indian food on any flight heading to India on any airline outside of india as long as you depart from the UK. The best Indian food outside of India is in the UK. If this AC flight originated from YYZ, this would have been a different outcome....
Air Canada never ceases to amaze me with how consistently horrible the crew are, I fly with them 10-14 times a year out of necessity and I've never been impressed

She never cried, never put a tantrum but you know how babies are in closed space, they don't stay put. Of all the airlines I took, Air Canada left us with the worst experience. The hostess threatened to call the captain on us if we didn't keep our daughter on our lap. We were sitting front row against the wall. On a 8 hour flight, it is all but normal to let the baby crawl between our legs when there's no turbulence. But this Air Canada hostess was keeping an eye on us and was really not friendly. Air Canada has the most uncomfortable business class seats. The tray table and the TV are not fully retractable, 16:15, making it extremely uncomfortable in the lie-flat position. In the lie-flat position, the lower half of your body is like being stuck in a tiny irregular-shape box. Side sleeping is impossible. Toss and turn is impossible. Any slight movement, your legs will bump into the tray table. I didn't see him actually sleep because that's almost impossible in those seats.
