Have travelled business class on Etihad, KLM, and for the last few years Qatar. Etihad was excellent up until a few years ago and then suddenly went downhill.Qatar I have been flying business class regularly for about five years, they are probably still number one but i have noticed that they are not as efficient as they once were plus the fact that the price of middle eastern airlines seats has skyrocketed .KLM for the price I found very good value for the price.
I'm so sad to see that Etihad isn't considered top 5 anymore. Their business class used to be excellent, though the last time I flew from London to Australia with them was a very underwhelming experience. Thank you for this video, it's been really useful.
In January we flight with Qatar business Berlin - Doha - Bankgog. REally GREAT, never had such a luxurios flight
Some of the views on emirates are of First Class not business! Secondly, though Qatar is great the REAL PROBLEM is the multiple configurations in their fleet. It is all well and good to advertise their Q suites but not a large part of their fleet has them. For the rest it is pot luck and some are below standard but the price is the same. This is really frustrating!
No need for first class when Business are plenty awesome.
Flying out from Singapore, Singapore airlines charges more than twice of the middle eastern airlines to Europe while offering much less. Not saying they are bad but just not worth the money.
Not agree. I fly to Bangkok from Brussels with SA. Qatar and SA had the same price, but when booking Qatar you have to pay extra for seat selection ,70€ for each leg and lounge access was not included. With SA everything was included and Changi airport is the best IMO. Emirates is lately way more expensive. Etihad sometimes have some offers
@@keesvanbeugen934 you are not wrong. SQ charges a lot more flying out from Singapore for the same sector. It easily costs S$10k for a biz class ticket from SGP to Europe where else I can fly Qatar for S$4-6k, depending on the destination. From your perspective, taking transiting airport into account, Changi is way ahead of Doha but the business class lounge at Doha is miles ahead of SQ lounge in Changi.
@@skwb1973 That’s a lot of money 💰. I paid for a return business class ticket with SQ from Brussels to Bangkok 2350 €

Qatar is even more. Like 100-150% more than SQ. On my usual route sfo to kno or sfo to cgk.
We’ve been fortunate enough to score business class tickets using points on both ANA and Singapore Airlines in the past 12 months. My only complaint is that the footwells on both while in the lie-flat position are pretty small for me. I’m 6’2” tall with size 12 feet. And it’s difficult getting my feet oriented in a comfortable way. Only airline seat I haven’t had that issue with is the JAL Sky Suite, a 2-3-2 configuration that works great for me.

I fly regularly between Manchester and Bangkok. Tried all the usual European, Asian and Middle East carriers and they are all very much the same. Before Covid i used mostly Emirates or Qatar but their prices have gone through the roof in the past couple of years. Last couple of trips i used Air France which was half the price of Emirates and just as good except they dont have a dedicated lounge at Manchester.
Fully agree with your selection, however, do not agree with Qatar Airlines being number one. An airline which still have 2-2-2 seating should not be announced as number 1.

Thank you very much for your video. I have had the privilege to have flown four of the five airlines and I agree with your ranking. I do have some comments about Emirates. Firstly, their 2-3-2 configuration is a big time loser. We stopped flying Emirates business class after having experienced this. We then flew first class last year, but we found it difficult to justify the extra cost, so we have reversed to Qatar for our upcoming trip. You showed the Dom champagne in your video. This is only served in first class, and then only after take off.
That configuration is on the 777 I recall. And it is a pretty awful hard product. The 380 is 1-2-1 and extremely comfortable.

. Last flight to Europe 2023 was with SQ compared with previous SQ flights service and comfort was seriously lacking. Still a fan of Cathay never had a bad experience with them.

Check very carefully when booking Cathay Pacific. Recently I booked on an A330 flight. Business class configuration as in your video. What I got was a B777 with a 2-3 2 layout on an absolutely full flight. No multi page menu. Very small choice of wine - basically a cheap Champagne and one red, one white and a dessert wine. No comment on the food but the coffee was good. To make matters worse, one of the toilets became inoperable. Never again!
then you got a bad Cathay Pacific flight, try another one but check the plane and make sure it is the one that are good

Emirates 777 business is pretty medium at best (I also don’t like the 2-3-2) but their a380 is worth the full price.
ANA Buz also offers “The Room.”

I flew Business class with ANA few times but the flatbed seat is out dated not as in you video. The foods are average.
I have flown with all of them except cathay. Qatar by far is my favourite

I've flown Qantas, Emirates, Etihad, Singapore business class & this year sadly disappointed in Singapore. I think that issue is with these videos is that the airlines score big from major hubs like Heathrow or Frankfurt however when I flew from Rome to Singapore it was really not good enough. Flat bed so uncomfortable that I didnt sleep. I would not choose them again.
Recently flew Cathay Pacific from HK to Manchester….i normally fly Qatar and Emirates, however I totally agree that Cathay cabin crew are in a different league to all the others.
Wish I can turn left into business class, sadly always turn right into cattle class 😂😂😂

Cathay still using old configuration 2-2-2 for regional flight. Not what you see here at all.
I had on many airlines, including many which you are not mentioned, either good or extremely disappointing experiences, over many years of business travel. Which really makes you wonder about the validity of these meaningless rankings.

If you choose to fly emirates business class, do not choose the 777-300ER business class cause its 2+3+2 layout. Who even keeps a middle seat for business class, come on, even the worst airlines do not have the middle seat in business class.

When you show Lynch Bages wine which happens to be my favourite red wine as available on business class I stop believing anything you say.
Terrible seating in business class. The beds are short and one has to sleep twisted. Look at ANA--the sleeping straight position is the best. Menus are terrible.

Absolut correct , On EK B777 the business class product is crap with the 2-3-2 layout , not worth the money for sure .
You have to be joking. The Singapore Airlines business seat is terrible. Your feet are offset and in a small box area. I will never fly them again until this is changed.

Qatar provides sanctuary to the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, who live like billionaires on the international aid money meant for the people of Gaza. I would never spend a penny on anything from that country.
Whoever pays $$$ gets the top rank. Qatar is absolutely horrible. Bad service, bad food, and tight seating.
