Hi Helen
Thank you 🙏🏽 🙂
Thank you for your guidance, I'm Cuban, soon to be in the States and I've been watching your videos for a while but this is my first comment.. I'm planning on going to Keiser University and become a Rad technician. It's been a while since I ended my High school. I have now two grown kids so I think it's the best time for me to do so, I'm about to be 40. What' are the most difficult classes you advice me to prepare in advance. Thank you for your honesty

Ok so that all depends on where you work if you work outpatient center there’s NO ON CALL
When you work at the hospital is varies some hospitals do 1-2 days per week & some do 1 whole week on-call but every 3-4 months.
@@juanmotiva8s959 appreciate the info bro youre making it so much easier for us 🙏
I assume you probably chose not to pursue a MRI Tech license, b/c you don't want to listen to the VERY NOISY MRI MACHINE all day long - but you are a licensed CT Tech. Is the CT Machine as noisy as the MRI Machine, and does the noise last throughout the entire scan ?
I really don't see how MRI Techs tolerate the noise from the machine throughout the entire scan process, for multiple patients all day long, for years. The noise alone is enough to deter someone from pursuing becoming an MRI Tech. If you have worked long enough as a Rad Tech, or CT Tech, you can still make as much money as a MRI Tech makes. There are also more jobs available for Rad Techs and CT Techs, more so than MRI Techs, unless you want to consider becoming a traveling MRI Tech, which opens up more job opportunity and more $$$.
Since you are licensed as a CT Tech, do you ever do CT scans ? If so, what is that experience like - the actual scans ? You haven't done a video yet, that is just about the process of doing CT scans, how the machine works, what a CT scan looks like and how to interpret it, etc. ? What does the CT Tech have to figure out manually, in order to program the CT machine to scan an area of the body correctly - meaning is the CT machine pre-programmed for an abdominal CT scan, or does the Tech have to do some calculations to figure out how the scan should be done ? Any cons of being a CT Tech ? Anything in the process and practice of CT scanning that someone should watch out for ? [ like No Metal in the MRI room , or lifting heavy coils ]
I am already subscribed to your channel. Thank you, for giving back KNOWLEDGE. And, Thank you, for responding and answering our questions. Keep up the GREAT WORK !!!
Hi Cynthia
As always thank you so much for always supporting I truly appreciate you & I will definitely make a video on this soon 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙂
Another super helpful video!!
I was wondering if you are required to get updated COVID vaccinations to be able to work as an X-Ray Tech/to work in a hospital?
Hi 👋
Thank you 🙏🏽 for always supporting
I appreciate you 🙏🏽
Yes some places still ask if you have had the 2 COVID’s vaccines 💉 but some places also bypass it now.
So it all depends where you work.
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
I’m 20 and I want to do something in the medical field, but I can’t decide between rad tech, nursing or respiratory therapist. I’m leaning towards x ray tech. I should be done with my pre reqs this fall semester and hopefully I get accepted into the program in January
Yo!

Ok so stay tuned your question will be next on a video ‼️
Hi Juan after finishing LMRT? Can I do MRI? And lets say I finished doing LMRT and had one year experience and like to do MRI? What are steps?
Hi
Hope the video helped you out some.
Unfortunately No
You must be a full RT before cross-Training into any other modality like CT, MRI, PACS ADMIN …. ect
@@juanmotiva8s959 can I do just x ray after completing the full rt? Will I be paid higher? If I only wanted to do normal x ray can I do that in hospital? I wanted x ray only then mri ?
which states have Basic X-Ray Machine Operator? not lmrt
Yo!
I mean most states have Basic even here in FL there’s places that hire Basic X-Ray Techs.
@@juanmotiva8s959 ididnt know basic vs lmrt which one is better and does texas have basic x ray?
@JQCHealthyFit-rc2km Ok so in Tx they have what’s called LMRT & FL we call them Basic X-Ray tech.
I’m sorry for the confusion but it’s basically the same thing.
@@juanmotiva8s959 thank you for clearing it up I alwayys watch your videos I hope you give giveaways hehe like juanradiation hoodies or caps I love you
can i become a rad tech with a possession of a controlled substance misdemeanor charge from 15 years ago in texas?
Yo!
Welcome 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching
PLEASE remember to SUBSCRIBE, WATCH & LIKE 👍🏽 my videos it helps reach more people 🙏🏽
Honestly I don’t think a misdemeanor counts but again I can’t guarantee that 100 %.
The best thing to do is go to a college near you who has the Radiology Technologist Program & tell them your history. They will tell you if that’s ok or not.
Hope this helped bro 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 thanks!
is rad tech the same as radiography?
