As a Christian, it's nearly always those that are not that remind people of what they are supposed to be doing. It is sorely needed and it is sad that those people need this reminder.
This is a great reaction you guys!!! As a deconstructed former believer I loved the conversation. Spot on. You guys, need to listen to “The Doomed,” by A Perfect Circle next… (this could also be a Sean pick too) You should also listen to “Life of Brian” by the singers other, other band Puscifer. And if you want to hear a Maynard song that is 100% an evangelical worship song but giving credit to the rain and nature instead of god, check out “Monsoons” by Puscifer as well… really loved this commentary!
thanks so much! I actually have Doomed as a pick for Sean, as Steve and Matt have seen/heard it already. I'm a big Puscifer fan too and will definitely have some of their music on the channel in the future. Thanks for the comments!
Yea, Maynard hit this one out of the park.
He once said the song's lyrics were "about accountability". Indeed, we could use more of that around here.
Brutal honesty in those lyrics that most people simply wont be able to handle.
