Ren wants us all to be more actively kind toward one another. He acknowledges how complicated things have become everywhere and emphasizes tolerance. He is very against the two party system. He wants us to work as a collective mind to form a better system not so easily corrupted. He’s aware of the complications involved in his little ask. Gotta love him!🤣❤️

For something completely different, Ren had a band called The Big Push, they do a harmony track called Swan song with a couple of the band members well worth a listen. They do original and covers and did a lot of busking in Brighton and London.

First time coming across yalls channel and I love the Pastors perspective of this being a letter from Paul to Timothy. What a great perspective, makes you look/listen to the song a bit different 💛 Big Up on you guys for not censoring Rens lyrics, they aren't Christianly but it really drives the point home 💛

I strongly disagree with the guy in the middle, about being able to get rid of the dark. Death, pain, suffering are an integral part of life, of existence. They're not something that can just be banished. I know that you're coming at it from a religious viewpoint, which is where, I think, the difference stands. You believe that, ultimately, those things can be banished. So do I but in a different form. The endless, dreamless sleep of the void :) The point is though that, to use your terminology, we're talking about the "mortal realm" here. I'm pretty certain that most Christian theologies don't see such things as having been banished from mortal existence. In fact it would undermine a lot of the basis of that theology, if that were the case. Death, pain and suffering are as much a part of Christian mortal reality, as in any other. In fact, in many ways, even more so. :)

Have you read Ancient Futures by Helena Norberg-Hodge? It is an older book, but a really good look at how the solution to a lot of our issues is a return to ways we operated in the past. Will we ever get there? Probably not because it is a harsher physical way to live and we want ease. Ease at the expense of our health, mental health, and the systems of nature.

What a monster of a drummer...

I thought the idea if it being as a modern day letter from Paul to Timothy was quite poetic and beautiful, definitely a new take on the entirety of the song from a reactor , as opposed to the usual recognition of the verse from Timothy by itself, and it makes me smile to thinnk of it that way. I can't wait to share this view with my husband later today I think it will make him smile too. Thank you guys xo

I like the way the preacher avoided the fact of how much money is wasted on religion. I have to listen again, but I believe he mentioned something that points at the church. Look at how many of these absolutely gorgeous works of architecture are going abandoned because people are getting wise to the scam that is religion. Pay us for false promises and lies. Remember that Jesus basically said that he brings genocide. You believe the world was populated by incest and should stay that way. Don't try to tell me I don't know anything about the bible. I have enough knowledge to be a preacher, but I'm smart enough to know better.

Pastor, if you haven't reacted to these Ren songs "Dear God", "Dominos" or the "Money Game" Trilogy & "The Tale of Jenny & Screech Trilogy, I highly recommend you do them soon😍. Also, if Pastor Chris hasn't reacted to "Hi Ren" yet, I think he would appreciate that artistic performance immensely. Thanks for those interesting thoughts on Money Ties. Ren brings a feeling of calm centeredness to the concept of money. It's a tool, and without love, money is rather irrelevant. Ren has been involved in a copyright strike with a producer and ended up in a health relapse of his Lyme disease. So "money makes the Sick Boi sicker somehow ". He worked with another producer also victimized years ago by the same guy, for this track. Ren split the money he makes with that producer,Nayz, in an effort to raise him up. ❤

Very nice analysis and conversation about these song You guys should react also to Ren's money game part 3, which is like a prelude of these song Money Ties, Ren composed the piano arrengments and lyrics and produced the video as well, and plays the piano in the intro. Actually the whole trilogy of money games ( 1,2 & 3 ), go full circle about these topic of GREED , one of the seven sins in the Bible. Peace ✌

I love your emotions towards this. I do feel weird though tying this so tightly to sth politically happening in the US right now. I am not quite sure that that would be sth a welsh artist wanted to express by this. Then again that is just my opinion and I do enjoy that you find hope and encouragement in this. Stream-of-consciousness warning... This was not a video I was expecting. I respect your insight so much that listening to you two reflect on this alarming/distressing/deflating election result is a sort of salve. I couldn't bring myself to even read a headline, let alone an article, for the first week. But not being one to bury my head in the sand - not for too long, anyway - the time of slowly coming to terms, if not make peace with, what has happened has begun. As for what WILL happen - not entirely prepared for that. But, how could one be when you're diametrically opposed to most of what this leadership change might/could bring (I have been an Independent since I became voting age)? I think of Lincoln, while a Republican in his time, the definition then was nothing like it is today, or even during Reagan's time. It's wild to think of how we are fixated on terms of identification, polarizing terms, even when those terms can completely stand for something different decades later. Thanks for this.

The Drumeo video of Mike Portnoy trying to figure out the timing was awesome to watch. I'm not sure what style the Octopus has but Neil, John Bonham and BILL F'N WARD are all jazz based drummers which is mind blowing to me..
