It is all about legerdemain,making the presentation & having the (drum roll & rim shot) finale that makes people jaw drop in awe, scratch their heads & wonder how, and / or just appreciate a visual treat

You release the lighter fuel in to your hand then ignite it. It doesn't burn the skin because it evaporates quickly.
