One of my favorites :) Not too hard to master, looks sufficiently difficult for others to be amazed, and you can prep it in your pocket to make the whole 'trick' seem fluid and pro! :p Thanks for the vid!
>Looking ath the video >Oh my god, is explained so well! Totally looks like balisong tutorials from cutlerylover! >Actually is cutlerylover Man, you're just too awesome
For people struggling, I really only push the lighter lightly into the webbing of my hand before I push off with my middle finger, and instead of half the lighter sticking out above the webbing, I really only have the bottom corner against my hand. The rest of the lighter is visible besides the bottom corner. I don't have a super firm grip on the lighter because it creates too much mechanic resistance to start the necessary rotation. It just sits gently in the webbing of my thumb and then I abruptly push with my middle finger to get the rotation. Hope this helps.
this video was pretty LIT my dude, you should make some more videos on tricks so i can impress my friends and parents on how i can do cool/LIT tricks while smoking a cig.
it is easier when using a lighter that has been scuffed some or one with a textured coating. if your Zip is slick new chrome or whatever it is much more difficult. even raw brass cases are much easier to manipulate.
sorry for a reply on a 2 year old comment. but when internet is on on your phone or computer. its actualy listening through your microphone and picking up things to recommend or give ads by. this has been proven. if you keep talking about dog toys and you don't even have a dog, you will be getting ads for dog toys. and similar youtube recommends. i noticed i got ads for new chairs, when i kept complaining to my mom that my chair is broken. and that i might need a new chair. to sit on. its some kind of bot that picks up words. and gives ads based on that. without you knowing.
@ParanoeX You don't have to push "that" hard . When you put the zippo in position, put it only the "half" of the zippo in your hand. Not sure if i'm understandable. This way , the zippo will "pop-out" easier.
It hurt my hand at first but it helps to push out a little bit with your thumb and pointer. That keeps the lighter from just digging in to that tender part of your hand and helps it start spinning. it felt pretty natural natural after that.
For those still learning this trick you need to do it everyday until you master it once you do it's easy to feel the sweet spot to make the flick. Goodluck!
FYI for people with large hands and can’t seem to hold it this way,try placing the bottom of the zippo more near your index finger on the palm.should feel a lot better, hope it helps
Get the Black crackle model. I own it, it doesn't have the smooth surface of the conventional zippo lighter, it is a bit rougher. Try it, you'll probably get the hang of it with it.
@JBurneo I can do it now. Try using the other hand. I am left handed and can only do the trick with my right hand. Even though I do ALL the other tricks with my left. Maybe I over think it in my left hand cause I am used to using my left hand for dexterity? Therefore it doesn't work cause I don't actually know how to do it. But in my right hand my hand does something SLIGHTLY different to what I am trying to make it do. Hard to explain, just try it with the other hand.
i have really long fingers, yet i can still perfect this tricks, its just learning how to grip it with your hands, practice, practice and practice again.. trust me, you'll get it.
There is a difference between being able to afford something, and being able to buy something. The computer is more important than a fancy Zippo lighter.
Sweet trick Jeff! Easy to learn, fairly full proof, and appealing! Weird to think it was your zippo vids that led me to your knives and simultaneously infected me with an illness with no cure. lol
I have the Fire Zipper Black Matte Zippo and the its not grippy enough..... any tips ? And there is no chance in hell i am going to use sanding paper or anything the scrap the paint off.....
I've noticed that practicing many of these tricks is painful.
Cool shit hurts
especially the clapping on the arm to close it hahahaha - my arms looked like hell xD
Meh at first yea but now it doesn’t
It costs to be the boss
That's the body's way of telling you that you're doing something wrong
20% of the time, it works every time... The other 80% it just hurts and doesn't move at all.
take the thumb and the point finger and put it on the corner to ease the momentum
hope it helped!
@@mc_useless4333 Thanks mate, helped a lot! Cheers
Oh yeah, took me a while of hand aches and middle finger hurting to be able to do it on command.
I'm just getting used to it as well, I'm sure the pain will ease with time
...... and wrecks the hinge, or ya drop it and dent it.seiko 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂👍👍👍👍

I have to say thanks man! your tutorials are super helpful and thorough!
UA-cam recommendation brings me back to where it all began for me with zippos.
Mastered the technique after 3 days of hard work. Spent total of approx 5 hours practicing.
My hands feel like they are way too big to do any tricks 😂
I've burnt my fingers so many times trying your tricks.. But it's sooo satisfying when I get them..

Looks really cool and well explained but I think it's easier with an older more used Zippo. Anyways really good video.

Haaa! I have seen this trick from you before, Jeff! But the hd quality is worth watching again, for sure!

Great trick and it was easy too. Nice job.

hey man lov the videos collect zippos myself, keep up the good work from ireland :)
Those are the manliest hands I've ever seen.
Caption at the beginning "come on guys going to do a new zippo tutorial use a boat wreck" lmao
just learned my first zippo trick, its cool thanks!
You have beautiful hands my friend. Beautiful.
thanks for the close-trick xD much easier than one-handed
Nice one. I’ve never seen it and it’s not very hard
my zippo is like a bar of soap.. stupid greasy hands
Get the Black crackle model. I own it, it doesn't have the smooth surface of the conventional zippo lighter, it is a bit rougher. Try it, you'll probably get the hang of it with it.
This is pretty hard to do with newer zippos I guess. My lid/cap is too tight to just fling off from that momentum.
My 1970s zippos are the same so it’s not just the new ones
@JBurneo I can do it now. Try using the other hand. I am left handed and can only do the trick with my right hand. Even though I do ALL the other tricks with my left. I do the same except find it easier to twist it between the ring and middle finger at the end to light it with the thumb.
My zippo proceeded to fly out of my window into my open well... If I wasn't so damn pissed it would be comical.
thank you sooo much for teaching me a so newbeginner trick! =D i will post a videorespons, later! =D youve did just got you 1 more subscriber! XD
aaaaaand it flew right outa my hand...
Great video, I enjoy all your Videos. After 5 Times i get it :)

Was laying down while doing this my zippo shot up outta my hand and fell on my nuggs man
i found an old zippo that used to be my grandfathers from when he was in the army any ideas on what i should do with it
I tried to leave this trick when I was in middle school and I tried a couple of times today like 5 years later and I did it thank you
There is a difference between being able to afford something, and being able to buy something. The computer is more important than a fancy Zippo lighter.
you explain the tricks very well, alot of others dont
God damn I can actually do the hardest zippo tricks but when someone does this he’s really cool and skilled
Sweet trick Jeff!
Easy to learn, fairly full proof, and appealing!
Weird to think it was your zippo vids that led me to your knives and simultaneously infected me with an illness with no cure. lol
that's my favorite move. i used to call it "the pistol".
been doin that since 1993... I honestly dont know what to call this trick until now..
thanks to you mate u ruined my childhood 😑

Wow! Realy Cool, First try xD
After lighting it for a finishing move could you continue to rotate it in the counter clock way motion between you index finger and thumb
I unknowingly used to do this move almost a decade ago Lighting up one Phillies cigar after another
anybody else send their zippo flying across the room?
Not yet but prob when the zippo that I bought comes in
I never thought there would be such thing as a zippo master but there is apparently..
