I simply do not trust a repairman that pretends as if they never make a mistake or fail a repair...and I also do repair. Lots of UA-cam repair channels never show failires or no-fix DUE TO THEIR FAULT and I think we need to admit and show more of that. Kudos, Sorin!
Another great repair video! Your skills and knowledge really shine through, especially with such a complex fix. And the way you turned a tricky situation into an engaging and fun story is top-notch. Thanks for sharing this with us!
What I like about Sorin, is that he could have easily edit the "dodgy spark guy" part out easily and don't even mention it - but he didn't. He accepts his faults and is being sarcastic of himself in his own videos. That's priceless.
It's a testimony to your personal integrity that you discovered and even shared your previous mistake !! No one is perfect. Thanks for the honesty !!! And the humor !!!
I give you props to come back and share that you had previously worked on it yourself. It takes a man to admit mistakes and a man with integrity. Kudos for that. Also, Im pretty sure, someone might have discover the video. There is no hiding in the internet hahaha
At the moment i saw the title, I was thinking about all the UA-camrs, who was that guy! and no one came to my mind, but I didn't expect this twist. Sorin, you are an honest man and you are so qualified for this job based on your honesty work, which even I may not reveal my faults.....
This was such an interesting video! Loved how you walked through every step and kept it entertaining with your humor. It's always satisfying to see you solve these tricky issues, especially when it's a 'dodgy repair' from before. Amazing job
This video has been the best for me.😂😂 I sparked some components on a mother board not long ago. So, when you said someone made a mistake injecting with high voltage, I was like 'yaaa newbie mee'. Then at end you show you where the one 😅. It meant the world for me. You renewed my hope and faith for the future. Thank you.
Thank god most manufacturers have done away with having to remove the keyboard to get to the motherboard and most you just have to remove the bottom nowadays. Thats ace that it was you who got to it before you....
Mr.SORIN thank you SO SO SO MUCH not just for the repairs and helping people NO THIS IS PERSONAL: SO I'M GOING THROUGH A VERY HARD TIME RIGHT NOW AND I'M SO DEPRESSED AND SAD *BUT* THE VIDEO BEFORE YESTERDAY'S VIDEO WHEN THE FIRMWARE WAS DODGY AND THE LAPTOP WAS STILL DEAD BUT WHEN YOU TOOK THE MOTHERBOARD OUT AND SUDDENLY IT STARTED WORKING (AND YOU SAID SOME STUFF THAT MADE ME LAUGH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART AND I FELT SO HAPPY"YOU SAID: MAYBE IT GOT SCARED" HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AND AFTER 2 SECONDS YOU ALSO SAID: MY LITTLE FRIEND IS NEAR THE CHARGING PORT SO YEAH IT GOT SCARED, AND THEN I LITERALLY CRIED FROM LAUGHING SO HARD REALLY MY TEARS RAN OUT ON MY CHEAK "EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU MENTION OR SAY: SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND I LAUGH" And now this?!! Oh Lord, how I waited this moment, maybe six or seven years, waiting the ancient "little friend" technic being applied. Now can say, I'm realized. Thanks Sorin. Awesome 😎.
Granted, then he got a board back that he worked on before where he did NOT replace the capacitor. UA-cam just recommended this guy to me and I'm really confused here.
If you watch enough repair vids you can see there was some manufacturer making caps that short often, eg, Sony PlayStation, iPhone, etc, so it would be understandable that another cap will short on those devices, ie, it's the same batch.
I'm laughing just imagining Sorin's dialog with that computer shop after the repair: - Who the hell was that noob that previously worked on this board? asked Sorin. - You, Sire, they replied... Now picturing Sorin's face upon hearing this is kinda priceless... 😂😂😂
The only way forward is to admit our own faults. Now, who's the most "dodgy" guy, the well known UA-camr or Sorin. LOL This is why we love you Sorin! This is why.☺
I had been noticing that another UA-camr that could be your twin was occasionally releasing videos somehow on your channel with extremely dodgy repairs. Glad you caught the bastard. ;)
At some moments of the video I hear Sorin speak as if he does a Londo Molari. Babylon 5 sci fi opera, ..... for those who are not familiar with top-notch sci fi 😊 Well done sir 🤝🏻👍🏻🇳🇱
To all who say removing capacitors with your pliers is dodgy, I disagree. It saves thermally stressing a board with hot air for no good reason. Good on you!
It took me some time to tune in to his accent, but once I got there - no trouble. I like this chap! A pragmatist. Do what you need to do to make it work. If it breaks later, do it again - even though you know it's not really 'Professional' :-) !
SOMETIMES .... we are our own worst critic. 🥴On the other hand, this proves we are always learning and there's always room for improvement. Above all, we are human and allowed to make mistakes, it's how we learn (most of the time). 🤓 Yeah, this was kinda funny though. 😂
Don't worry Sorin, it's just past you teaching the future you how to do things! How to be human! You are awesome, and funny. I'm sending some work your way soon, two Nitro 5's 😁
thank you Mr. Sorin, I love your method in finding faulty elements and fixing problems. Please show us (in a video) how you choose proper capacitor and replace it? is it necessary to replace them?
Sorin, I gess you will have that one in your shop for the 3rd time... Just a question of time... Love your videos, thanks for sharing, greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Who said "Dodgy", not me the only dodgy guy who said it. 😂. Great repair and a master class😊. Very honest dodgy guy😂. I would not even say one in a million would have been that honest.😂
Jajaja when he began saying, we have to take care the motherboard and the plastic connector, safety the first and blablabla I was laughing waiting for.....jaja say hello to my little friend 😂 You're the best Sorin. What a dodgy guy
Congratulations, very professional in the work you do and learned a lot from you, I'm starting with the repairs...I would like to know what type of thermal camera it uses and how much it costs?...An excellent Dia..

Kudos, Sorin!
I didn't expect that Chapter2:"Who was the dodgy technician?". I really like your detective work, honesty and sense of humor.😂

What a dodgy guy...
that is exactly why we love your repair videos :)
We need our little friend more often on this channel.
PS: Was not expecting the end LOL
In name of battery connector he did that 😂
Never have I seen a more professional job
Amazing this guy! He does the old school job. He is a real tecnicians
To save you and the customer from further inconvenience, I suggest removing all the capacitors before any more go bad. No capacitors, no problems.
hahaha
😂
here comes my little...
No capacitors, More problems🤣. Replacing brand-new one is best
No capacitors no shorted capacitors
I love how you just expose yourself this is so humble of you, makes me like you even more Mr. Sorin, thanks for all your knowledge
It shows the caracther and humility of a real person showing that you made that mistake ❤
Dont you just love his humility
So it's not just your loyal viewers that learn from your videos. This is brilliant, well done and thank you.
It's a testimony to your personal integrity that you discovered and even shared your previous mistake !! No one is perfect. Thanks for the honesty !!! And the humor !!!

from a retired electronics tech, Great Video, surprise ending !

I believe replacing all that 3 caps is better, but you know
in the next video 🤣
hahahaha
Sorin, you are so lucky with shorted capacitors!
I only receive faulty hubs and firmware in multicontrollers for repair...
Always a delight to watch a real professional at work
A honest man.

He is very honest and straightforward
I am still waiting for all those "other" videos where Sorin replaces capacitors! I even begin to doubt ! 😂
I'm glad you caught the dodgy guy red handed! 😂
You said you had some awful jobs yesterday.
I hope you share the videos!
Great teacher and great sense to humor !
Yes! That was very professional! You're the best!
Thank god most manufacturers have done away with having to remove the keyboard to get to the motherboard and most you just have to remove the bottom nowadays.

Wow man perk up man, you’ll get there. Just work on yourself. Stay away from drink, drugs, smoking and you’ll make it!
Calm down and turn off your caps lock!
Oh Lord, how I waited this moment, maybe six or seven years, waiting the ancient "little friend" technic being applied. Now can say, I'm realized. Thanks Sorin. Awesome 😎.
Very funny, Capacitor came back to haunt you!, LOL
I will probably never get tired of this text "of course I'm joking, I'll replace this capacitor maybe in the next video." Sorin, you are a CHAMPION!🤣
hahahaah
Granted, then he got a board back that he worked on before where he did NOT replace the capacitor. UA-cam just recommended this guy to me and I'm really confused here.

never thought i would see an honest dodgy guy
So in June we will remove the third capacitor? 🤣🤣🤣
An actual case of Deja Vu as Sorin gets stuck in a time loop!
🤣🤣i wasnt expecting the end lol. great video
Oh Sorin best repair, everyone Learning here
I'm laughing just imagining Sorin's dialog with that computer shop after the repair:
- Who the hell was that noob that previously worked on this board? asked Sorin.
- You, Sire, they replied...
Now picturing Sorin's face upon hearing this is kinda priceless... 😂😂😂
"That's crazy! LOL."
This was good! It make me start my day with a good leaf. Thank Sorin for everything!
The only way forward is to admit our own faults.
Now, who's the most "dodgy" guy, the well known UA-camr or Sorin. LOL

New sub ... a refreshing change and very humble ... zero edits and music = perfect :)
I had been noticing that another UA-camr that could be your twin was occasionally releasing videos somehow on your channel with extremely dodgy repairs. Glad you caught the bastard. ;)
Ahhaahhahahahha you made my day Sorin ❤ at the missing screws you started thinking maybe the Mr. Dodgy technician was someone familiar 😂
Very entertaining video, a proper good example of continuous improvement
this vid is on top Never have I seen a more professional explaination and detail plus humor WOW.
Thank you for sharing with us we have learnt a lot from u all this years!!❤❤
a dodgy batch of capacitors hit the factory.
He really has beef with capacitors. If he is not removing them, he is sparking them 😂😂😂
hahaha
The dodgy dobbleganger testing with 19v, what an amateur 😁🤣
🤣🤣🤣Sorin, you are a proper calibrated humorist.
What a dodgy guy indeed. Brilliant video Soron and love your sense of humour 👍👍😁😁
We need more from that dodgy guy, so we can learn together 😎😎
There is one more cap remaining.
See ya in 9 months.
maybe the customer will buy a new laptop till then.
At some moments of the video I hear Sorin speak as if he does a Londo Molari. Babylon 5 sci fi opera, ..... for those who are not familiar with top-notch sci fi 😊
Well done sir 🤝🏻👍🏻🇳🇱
It's pretty funny. I actually remember watching the first one 🤣 then he comes back to fix it for real 🤣 proper calibrated repair this time.
And again removed a capacitor and didn't replace it.😂😂😂😂
The supreme being of dodginess, uncontested and still the top of the podium of dodginess
LMAO, sorin reviewing sorin
Those damn dodgy technicians always making a mess for the next guy FeelsBadMan
To all who say removing capacitors with your pliers is dodgy, I disagree. It saves thermally stressing a board with hot air for no good reason. Good on you!
It's just your way and your style sorrin, thank you for teaching me making me laugh at the same time
It took me some time to tune in to his accent, but once I got there - no trouble. I like this chap!
A pragmatist. Do what you need to do to make it work. If it breaks later, do it again - even though you know it's not really 'Professional' :-) !
That's karma for not properly introducing us to the "say hello to my little friend" and censoring that gentleman's hard work !
Your funniest repair video, Sorin ! Keep up the good work, brother !
u sir are amazing - love to see u review yourself
I don't know what I'm looking anymore, I suspect this is a comic series 🤣🤣🤣. Probably one of the best Sorin videos I saw, it made my day.
SOMETIMES .... we are our own worst critic. 🥴On the other hand, this proves we are always learning and there's always room for improvement. Above all, we are human and allowed to make mistakes, it's how we learn (most of the time). 🤓 Yeah, this was kinda funny though. 😂
Nice work Sorin. This is a easy latitude. I had the joy of fixing the Latitude 6430u a few times. The worst laptop I’ve ever took apart.
I laughed really hard on this. Thanks Sorin
I love your honesty sir❤
Yes! Professional! And expedient!
Don't worry Sorin, it's just past you teaching the future you how to do things! How to be human! You are awesome, and funny. I'm sending some work your way soon, two Nitro 5's 😁
Hey. You have to fail before you can learn . Great job in the end . Thx for sharing
Sorin, he must have learnt his skills from the master of electronics.
Someone (before you) took out a capacitor. I can't believe.
I bet that someone had picture
thank you Mr. Sorin, I love your method in finding faulty elements and fixing problems. Please show us (in a video) how you choose proper capacitor and replace it? is it necessary to replace them?
"Say hello to my little friend!" then seeing the capacitor trashed, in bits had me laughing. It went from a dead short, to DEAD! 😂
Sorin, I gess you will have that one in your shop for the 3rd time... Just a question of time...
Love your videos, thanks for sharing, greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
He was so close he only removed wrong capacitor 😅 fantastic 😻
Good job mate 👏
I appreciate the twist
Your little friend is so strong 🙂
Ah, wonderful. Also perfect example why one should never be too fast to judge dodgy repairs.😂
good job again sir sorin
😂😂😂 Funny dodgy guy , thank for this moment Sorin 👍
I don't use hot tweezers ...I use two soldering irons to remove that cap. At least now I have use for my old iron.😊
About this other guy you are referring to.... he has a UA-cam channel which I am subscribed to. He knows what he's doing, I know that for sure! 😁
Sometimes a man's got to do what a man got to do. 🎉
Sorin thanks for making my day better 😂, I just love ur videos
Thk ❤
Who said "Dodgy", not me the only dodgy guy who said it. 😂. Great repair and a master class😊. Very honest dodgy guy😂. I would not even say one in a million would have been that honest.😂

Jajaja when he began saying, we have to take care the motherboard and the plastic connector, safety the first and blablabla I was laughing waiting for.....jaja say hello to my little friend 😂 You're the best Sorin. What a dodgy guy
A dock-station port on the bottom, nice, from the time when laptops were done the smart way, not like the ones that are now.
lol ,but the important lesson is that you learned from the previous error 9 months ago, keep up the videos sorin
Congratulations, very professional in the work you do and learned a lot from you, I'm starting with the repairs...I would like to know what type of thermal camera it uses and how much it costs?...An excellent Dia..
Yea we shouldn't judge others we learn from. Ourselves ❤ I like dodgy work 😅
