@@asakusa-tokyokitchen I used your dashi broth to make a hot soba noodle dish and it is so good! It wouldn't have been as good without your lesson! I'm so happy I found your channel, I've learned so much in my journey to learn Japanese cooking! I can't wait for your next video!
Can I assume that bonito flakes are not boiled, but soaking in the hot water? But are not they boiling in the microwave? I’ve taken Macrobiotic cooking classes, but i am not familiar with bonito. Thank you.
Good to know the process of making dried bonito flakes!
It’s so interesting even for Japanese 😉🎶
Thank you so much!
🥰👍🏻🎶
I had no idea you had a UA-cam channel! I’m so happy to refresh the recipes after almost 5 years we did the course with you!
I’m so glad you found me in UA-cam !
Thank you for teaching me how to make Dashi stock! I've used lessons from your video twice now 😊
Thank you so much for trying !

Very nice presentation. Our kitchen papertowel has additives. We don't normally use like this. Is Japanese kitchen papertowel different, natural?
How long does Konbu stay fresh? I bought a bag but since one only uses a small amount, I wonder if it ever gets bad. Thanks for your Videos!
Package usually says 1 to 3 years but since it’s completely dried, it won’t kill you if you use it after that. Better to use up quickly though !

Yes it will boil in microwave. It’s which one you prioritize, yumminess or convenience.
@@asakusa-tokyokitchen Thank you.
Is Dashi broth used for ramen eggs, or will soy sauce Mirin and sugar do?

And who is allergic to fish and algae... what can we use to replace this?
Dried shiitake instead of bonito flakes.
