    They all look excellent and I understand the tastes. Will make the stuffed cabbage one this week, minimalistic with minced pork and just a little chopped onion inside and mild soy and bullion to make the cabbage taste shine. Here in Romania fermented cabbage is very popular, will try it with this too plus bors, wheat bran. A sarmale ciorba with Japanese tastes mixed in.

    This looks yummy, I have lots of "wrappers" in my freezer. Most of the other ingredients are easily accessible. This was fascinating to me since "stuffed cabbage" in North America usually involves minced meat and rice rolled in the cabbage.

    I love your channel so much Sayaka thank you! I’m in the States and am obsessed with homemade miso soup- I make a big pot in the beginning of the week and eat it for breakfast and take it to work for lunch. I am praying that I never get tired of it, but your videos help to mix things up so that doesn’t happen!
    I have a question for you ♡♥︎:
    My favorite way to eat miso soup is with sriracha and rice. I love vinegar and the sriracha is nice but I’d like more twang. Is there anything you could recommend for me? Should I try out rice wine vinegar first? Anything to up the vinegar taste would be appreciated ♡♥︎ you are the best ever!

    • @JapaneseCookingChannel
      @JapaneseCookingChannel  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much for watching and your warm comment! 😊💕
      About the vinegar you ask... I think you can add a little rice vinegar to the miso soup. We don't usually add it to the miso soup, but since you love vinegar taste, it should be good taste for you! Rice vinegar is the most popular sour seasoning in Japanese cuisine, so give it a try!

    These soups look thoroughly delicious! I have a question about using sugar - I try not to add sugar to my savory foods. I know there are some Japanese foods whose ingredients may require sugar, like tamago, but can you say more about which of these soups (and other Japanese foods) where sugar is either essential or optional?

    • @JapaneseCookingChannel
      @JapaneseCookingChannel  6 місяців тому

      You can make them all without sugar if you like 😊 Even tamago (rolled omelet), you can remove sugar. Please enjoy in your favorite way!

    • @andreamiller6200
      @andreamiller6200 6 місяців тому +1

      @@JapaneseCookingChannel I thank you so much, I really was not sure whether sugar was an essential ingredient and I love to eat unagi without the usual sauce and seek as many dishes as I can that do not include sugar in them. I don't usually order tamago nor seaweed salad (as much as I love it) due to the sugar I wish were not there. More reason to learn to make Japanese food to my own taste - I absolutely love Japanese food!
