    Just watched a couple of videos, about the Blackhawk and the dauphin helicopters. As a retired veteran, who spent years working aviation, this thought came to me. If you are really looking for something to do with the third dauphin helo, turn it into a simulator and charge for the experience. Who knows maybe you can even give under privileged teens lessons to help them towards their dreams of flying.

    I about fell over when seeing this video because I learned to fly at this airport and the person whose name appears on the side of the terminal taught me to fly in the 90s. A decade later, while working as CFI at this airport, I managed to get a few rides in these helicopters. Their sound was unmistakable and very unique. Great video and glad to see these helicopters are still flying.

I flew on them every chance I had. Wish I was still active duty. A very very strong work horse. Enjoy my man. If I lived closer to you I'd be over to watch an hear them.

    • @sethstaley17
      @sethstaley17 Рік тому +6

      @@ericstone8812 In terms of raw power and size, yes the blackhawk is the superior. The Dauphins are slightly smaller making them more capable at doing things like a stationary hover at 50 foot. The coast guard uses these exact models to rescue people from ships in the Bering sea.

    I live in a rural part of south central Michigan. Life Flight was the first air ambulance to service our area. Due to our location, we now have access to about 4 different services from different trauma centers. Our local hospital is decent, but many have joked that it's best asset is the Heli-pad!
