the blue hat guy is literally tweaking at 5min. Also can't find keys, don't know what he has. Argues over tools... He seems like a crack head that stole some keys from his friends workplace. Also smoking all the time.
This is exactly why this guy is going out of business. He knows his helicopters but doesn't know how to deal with people which is why all of his things have sat in his warehouse. Dave you have so much patience.
@@tinytattoomike7943 how so? you're sat here judging an entire life based off of around 60 minutes of footage, we're never going to know the entirety of the situation around whatever happened here. And I'm wrong for not wanting to instantly jump the gun? You people live for drama and it's sickening.
lol I’m judging by what I’m hearing….and hes telling them to calm down and he’s the one worked up. Dave has a very successful business and owns some crazy stuff. He’s been cleared by some important people, I’m sure, to have some of those big things he’s got now….I’m just saying Dave is being super nice and just trying to be crystal clear and this dude is being back and forth and that’s shady
I would of walked away the minute the guy started talking down to you about his feelings and concerns. He's a scammer... what patience Dave... admirable. You didn't loose anything, will make it all back in a heart beat for what you do everyday.
@redfox435cat yes .. but imagine you made the deal.. maybe you would be bent over and left in the cold. Plus, there are always deals waiting to be closed.
@@Ben-ph7pv Thinking that too. Seems he has an affinity for the coka. Very expensive habit. Probably made some special friends when on his adventures of buying, selling and restoring these copters all over the world.
Same vibes. Art interrupting, fast talking, being emotionally charged, diverting the focus, and generally using passive/aggressive behavior in an apparent attempt to extract money from HeavyD was no fun to listen to. Watching the younger adults chilling in background was such a contrast to the frenetic negotiations.
@jeremiahpetersen6626 exactly feel exact same. This guy is soooo jacked up and remember he’s been up for four days I think that’s what he said in part 1 sooooo let’s see up for 4 days all jacked up yea you always get one of these guys to start getting ballsy especially a rich kid brought up the hippie way and jacked yea I’d say that deal is raw…….or well worth it in the long run
Dave you were so professional and respectful. Amazing how you kept your cool. You apologized when you didn’t have to multiple times trying to defuse the situation with a freaking tweaker. Awesome bro.
The big confercation in the beginning was respectful and I don't have the info what happened prior, but the confercation was not onder controle and let him rent about his personal problems. I think everything would do the same though, if there smart, it's strange what's happening there, or what ever is happening there.
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the guy was on something, that whole situation was sketch. I mean, how does a tweaker like that have a warehouse full of helo's and parts?
You didn’t lose $10,000, you saved $240,000. The best thing you ever did was walk away from that deal. I have been in aviation my entire life, and I can tell you that that deal smelled from the beginning. You’re a hero for walking away.
You would have been a great cop Heavy D. That guy was on drugs, angry, and definitely capable of getting violent. You talked him down and dealt with him in a respectful manner. Kudos, from a 20 year cop.
Man I second that. I give him a lot of credit for handling this so well. Sad. It’s pretty obvious the guys on something and it’s likely that very thing that got him in this position to begin with
@@benmiller5125 and money does more than both combined, people have been killed for less than 300k. Either way dude was clearly on drugs, and that is likely a key factor in why he has to get out of that warehouse and his life is falling apart. News flash, most people and that has literally NOTHING to do with them getting violent, neither does lack of sleep. Get your scapegoats out of here.
Yep that was the impression that I had of him too, he was just so erratic and the way he was speaking made me think he was either unstable or on something or both.
I just found you on You Tube and watched you purchase a panel truck full of crap; a truck load of conveyor systems and games and a concrete mixer reworked. You are a pretty smart cookie and should always depend on your intuition......that dude was obviously hyped up on something other than lack of sleep and his personality changed 180° ! Your integrity is worth much more than 10 grand!
A lion doesn't lose sleep over opinions of sheep, especially a sheep who thinks it's a dog. Seems like a dude who's salty about losing money on a side hustle because he took care of the place and expects a big payout for his time running the place while the owner was wherever. I mean I could see him being screwed over.
This is a textbook example of how to de-escalate people down who are emotionally wound up. Dave is so patient and listens and does not interrupt. What a way to listen to your gut and not get controlled by emotion. Clearly Dave wanted all those parts, but didn't let it get the best him. Well handled.
Dave kept his cool, which is practically always correct. However, de-escalating isn't always the right call. The Scam-artist will often deliberately give you an easy path out to de-escalate a situation, but that path is the path where you get scammed. Mr Scam was INTENTIONALLY escalating. The whole point of him injecting tension was to get Dave to back off from his demand to have an EXACT inventory. It's not just the keeping his calm, but rather that Dave wouldn't back off the demands around having a precise inventory, locked doors, etc around what he was buying. Afterall, even I could see the warehouse looked completely different from the earlier video, and I was only half-watching the video on the side as I worked on a project.
That guy said so much without saying anything at all. Props to Dave for being chill in this situation. The other guy seemed intimidated or off his rocker or something.
Stay away from drugs kids! But nicely handled Dave, to keep your composure and treat him with such respect speaks volumes about your character. Cheers from New Zealand!
Good call Dave. Losing $10k is probably not going to hurt you, where losing $300k is always an impact. You’ll probably end up with this stuff anyway, once the landlord forecloses and sells it all to you for $100k. Which is better since the courts will have removed any leans on the stuff.
Dave, I am so happy for you that you ran for the exit. If a guy has hundreds of thousands of dollars in valuable parts but still can't come up with $25K in rent, then there's more to this story already. And when Art mentioned that he hadn't slept for two (or three?) nights, it does suggest some kind of manic episode. Dodged that bullet.
The dude may be lying about no sleep. It's a typical scam-artist or hustle tactic, that you try to get the other side to feel pitty for you in any way possible.
Greatly appreciate the rawness of these videos. We see the amazing highs, the ugly lows, and everything in between. Through it all, Dave, you're constantly a rock standing tall, firm, and fair. You have such poise and patience and that's part of what makes you such a great leader. That's part of why you attract and keep the incredible and honest crew you have around you. I greatly appreciate you allowing as much of this video as you did to make it to UA-cam. At the end of the day you have the final say on what does and doesn't make it to public, and I appreciated seeing the raw truth of how sketchy this deal was going to be. This video popped up shortly after ai saw you flying the Blue Dolphin helicopter home after Joe's team worked on it, so I get the benefit of seeing that it all worked out for you in the end and I'm quite happy for you! Fly high HeavyD!
100% addict behavior! Sorry you went through that Dave but man you have the patience of a Saint and as soon as it got sketchy you pulled your guys out of there! Your as straight up as they come and although you lost money im glad it wasn't as bad as it could've been! Keep doing your thing and ill be here supporting you guys through the channel like all your other fans!💪💪💪
@@TheParronators people are able to do that, i do it too much for my own health but being under tremendous stress and a deadline can motivate someone to do strange stuff. This was an intense moment. The guy was tweaking! He was all over the place Dave. You kept your calm demeanor. But you followed your gut feelings. The Spider senses was tingling!! So good call, don’t need the added stress. Great video! 🤙😎
AGREED that guy was zooming... it was clear as day that he was on some zoom zoom... his thoughts were all over the place probably been up for a week straight
Probably wasn't weird before having s substance abuse problem... Just my guess 🤔 I do feel bad for that guy's son? I think?though, he's the one that has to deal with that 24/7, and he seemed quiet and in a bad situation... Best of luck to that young man...

with all your success, I cannot get over how well you even execute a fail lol seriously!!! . Your patients and the way you handled things in this situation was more than what most would do. You let him speak, you were calm and tried to de-escalate and you were very clear and to the point, you even gave recognition by noting that it was 'his life's work' and tried to understand why he was so completely out of his damn mind. This truly shows another side to the man you are. The entire crew followed when you left, I was so impressed no one chimed in or said a WORD it just shows how much respect and trust your friends have for you. I think the fact he had an armed security guard watching you was evidence to show that he knew he was trying to pull something shady from the beginning ( other than his tweaker like behavior). I know your over it now but, I admire the person you are, everyone should take notes from you.
I would have walked away the minute that guy started ranting about "this a donation, not a deal" like he was doing you a favor. You have way more patience and diplomacy than I do, brother.
I think he is in legal trouble so trying to make sure it was a “donation” will help him skate that. Makes sense with needing to transfer money oversees.
this man turned 180 degrees. from being nice and telling nice stories to being suspicious and wanting to make a weird deal. dave. you acted great on this situation, always listen to your gut.
Guy went from throwing everything out to receiving almost 300k. What happen in this guys mind was he immediately went into justifying what was worth that money instead gathering up his personal shit and walking away. Plain and simple, greed jumped into the mix.
got to remember he caught out when he overheard things were different. reason been he removed item over two days and dave and the team had video images
I would have walked before 11:00 of this conversation. He made an uncomfortable situation. He keeps saying the same things over & over, that made no sense, so I believe something is up. I hope you don't take the deal. Absolutely follow your gut! He made my stomach crawl. So sad people can be so scummy! Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
Dave, just want to thank you for showing us this, you could have easily just scrapped all this footage, but showing us that not every venture is successful, is good to see. Life isn't always perfect, and even you can have an L once in awhile.
This dude is absolutely cracked 😳 the convo over the forklift was when I realized how insane he is. And it just goes on and on and on from there.. you guys were so patient I don't know how you managed to stay composed. I would have lost it 🤬
Yeah I guarantee if D would have sent that money overseas he would have got a not so friendly knock at the door from the feds. I also bet you that as soon as he got that $10k in cash he went right to the meth dealer and thats why he had such a big personality shift the 2nd day.
@@MrHenryPope Maybe Art fabricated a story bc he found a separate buyer for the forklift and was trying to maximize his profits? His story about someone falling out of helicopter is suss.
@@nocakeforsusan8701 maybe 'Art' is a broken person that is irrational. He has several hours remaining to remove everything or be evicted. Never mind that cash in hand beats another man's promissary note.
Total respect Dave and team. You handled a very tense, irrational and agitated person with a calm voice and body language. Excellent example of how to de-escelate a situation.
yeah, dude was sketchy and trying to hide the deal, obviously he has some major tax issues going and it looks to me like he got really paranoid cuz he kept trying to say it's not a deal it's not a deal it's like a donation and with cameras rolling and all that kind of stuff dude finally just flipped out
Cool, calm, and collected. Dave, 👊🏼 you handled this situation perfectly, everyone has said how they would have lost it sooner, I wouldn’t, I like to stay calm while I work out how to make sure I come out on top of the deal! This attitude is exactly why you are where you are! Well done mate!
That guy's energy completely changed between the first and second meetings from friendly to adversarially sketchy! This is a perfect lesson on how to trust your gut instincts and know exactly when to cut bait! Dave, you should throw some extra appreciation toward your friend Hans, he was leary from the beginning and definitely has your best interest at heart! That's a quality friend!
I'm not saying you're wrong, because you're right in this instance... but when is Hans ever "Mr. Positivity"? LOL But please don't take my words as a put-down because I love Hans, his cynical and pessimistic attitude in life is very similar to mine... if anyone is Mr. Positivity (besides the two Daves) it would be Alan the Wizard. 🙂 Love the entire crew, such a fascinating mix of personalities, but it obviously works cause the boys always get the job done!
You did the right move Dave! Walking away from this deal was the right thing to do. The owner was being sketchy AF. The only emotions that were going on with him was that he knew he was close to getting caught stealing stuff from the deal. Without a doubt, he spent the last few days removing stuff from the warehouse from under your nose. Its a hard lesson learned, but you still came out on top while keeping your head and composure. You are a much better man than me! Huge respect!!
@@gringottfenn316 -- Yup -- hiding behind wanting to do right by his son -- what a toxic load of BS -- while his son (and presumably the son's wife or GF) stand silently by and watch the slow-motion train wreck. :(
Bro i gotta hand it to you seriously you not only just earned my respect but in fact inspired me to be this calm and collected while dealing with nut cases like that in life. You have some patience on you buddy because if that was me it would have gone south within few minutes.
Blowing up at someone does not achieve anything . Staying calm , assessing the situation , being aware of what is going on around you to make decisions for the best outcome is way more important .
I tip my hat to Dave because you’re such a patient man and you handled that with pure professionalism even though it seemed like that guy wanted to have some kind of confrontation and he could be just emotionally drained but he just seemed so determined to have a disagreement or argument with you ! Again my hats off to you man because you probably made the best decision by just exiting the deal !
Actually this turned out priceless. You taught many people how to handle a weird situation. You plastered this guy across the internet in an inadvertent way that will warn others of his shady business practices. You saved thousands of dollars of money from being funneled to a possible militia organization. AND you safely walked away. We just saw a minor bit of why you have succeeded in business.
Spot on. I suspect he just wanted the "donation" money in someone else's name so he wouldn't have to pay taxes on it. On the flip side, it could have been used for running guns or drugs or who knows what else. Either way, not something Dave wants to be involved in.
@@wildflower1397 yeah, why did he have that many troop seats for them? Why did all the airframes he trucked out of Mexico need to be washed so thoroughly? I don’t think the usual clientele were asking for logbooks and certificates… this is cartel/paramilitary chop shop stuff.
@wildflower1397 gun running, like how would that happen over seas. Oh wait did that seller seem Russian? So scary to see what stunt Biden just pulled with the arms dealer and how easy it could be for him to get back in business again! This dude completely created this "stressful situation", man he isn't right in the head, he is all over the place. God bless you for your patience with this guy. Tough to watch
I know you didn't mean to show a drama video, but I'm glad you did. I have watched your videos show all good deals, it's nice to see how you handle bad deals too. It gives your audience a full 360 degree view of what you do. I'm glad I watched this video. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but not everything does and showing a video like this shows how real you are. Big fan brother, I hope my view helps recoup some of the money.
The patience you had for this guy was incredible. It’s also amazing that you just lay it all out there for us to see. Even after walking away to have private conversations you can already piece together how this whole thing went down. I have a feeling this guy owes people A LOT of money. He’s literally going insane.
The prospect of a lucrative money-making deal can "buy" a LOT of patience. It's also how a LOT of scams work. You start out with a deal that anyone would be an idiot to pass up on, and because the deal is so good, you can start demanding their time, resources, down-payments, etc. You get them so INVESTED in the sale, that even as the deal gets worse, and worse, and worse, and worse ..... "If I pull out now, that's $10k down the drain, what's another $2k?" Classic sunk-cost fallacy. After the shit that already went down by the time they walked away, and how hazy the conversation got, at that point I wouldn't want anything private, undocumented, etc. The point is you're trying to solidify the deal, not give him more opportunities to change his mind, or alter the deal. Afte thinking about this situation for a day, and sleeping on it overnight, the $10k the guy got was a straight up SCAM. Complete SCAM. The guy's intent was always to take the $10k and run, but maybe also take another $290k and run with that as well. Whether he sabotaged the deal, or got $290k and left D with an empty warehouse of junk, either worked out for him.
I think he owes money and the guy sat outside was probably working for whoever he owes it to. Ether way it was a nightmare that was only going to get worse.
Yes. I also was thinking he is financially strained causing a mental breakdown. He also realizes he is going to lose even more with this deal. Dave shows great restraint and patience. I believe a drug problem is causing a collapse of a business and financial ruin.
I know that type of guy , owes everyone boatloads of money and was going to use Dave’s money to hold them off till he could move all that stuff somewhere else so good on you Dave for having that gut of yours to not let that happen!!!
I can only imagine how the conversation in the car went off camera haha. Between diesel dave & Hans I can’t imagine better people to have in a situation like that. Not being rash, hyping you up unnecessarily and 100% supportive, you & your crew are awesome. Hope this comment helps in some small way to make back that 10k
Dave you were patient with this man who was talking in circles. He can't even let you mark things that you could take. If he is donating things what the heck is he arguing about. I wouldn't even want to deal with that person. You did good Dave just talking calmly.
I never thought like that if he was donating it for three hundred k what does it matter if the locks change or Dave wanted to mark initials on every piece of equipment in there that's how you know the dude was gonna do him dirty if I give money for something its mine an I'm not here to guard it what was the tweeker guys problem with understanding that unless he had different plans
Well that sucks, but at the end of the day Dave taught us the art of being able to walk away. Very educational and a lot of respect for Dave. He trusted his gut!!
To be honest I think if you're dealing with this guy your should be recording it because things seem to go south with him a lot. Getting evicted early is suspicious.
Walking away when you know it’s bad is the only way to find what’s good. Well done. You taught everyone here a valuable lesson and you’re going to be rewarded for it.
10 grand gone but such a valuable lesson learned and taught to millions of people through this video. ALWAYS stay calm, logical and follow your gut. I feel like something really good is going to happen for Dave now!
Dave, I’m so glad you guys uploaded this. You have a lot of younger fans and you set an AMAZING example for them on being respectful and keeping your cool in a very stressful situation. I have nothing but respect for you and the team! Bravo sir!
I 100% agree, well done Dave!! You handled this like a champion! Times/situations like this is when a man's true colors shows and you Dave did an amazing job of keeping it all together. Much respect!
Same. Used to be an estimator for remodeling homes and the people I'd deal with was so frustrating. They would have a problem like this guy where they completely misunderstand the situation and you have to get them back to reality.
Meth is a hell of a drug. It makes you feel smart while making you stupid. I personally don't get it. YMMV. I do think it should be legal though, so I can put it in my survival pack. It's really great for when you're screwed anyway, so you can't exactly make it worse.
Dave I can’t even begin to express how much respect I have for you bro. As a retired Deputy Sheriff I have in the past sometimes felt that the whole world was nothing but liars and thieves. That men of honor is just a thing of the past. Glad to see a man like you being the man you are.
Damn. Gotta say that dude is a loose cannon! You can tell just by the way he fast talks and fast walks. There’s some skeletons in the closet there somewhere! Your gut is always your best judge and that’s on $5k or $500k deals. Good call walking out
I'm soooooooo relieved you walked away!!!!! From the FIRST video I felt awkward about the erratic nature of the seller... seeing him unravel in this video had me yelling out loud SEVERAL times "GET OUT DAVE!!! GO!!!"
After the landlord evicts them legally in court and changes the locks in a few days, negotiate with him for what's left and get a even better deal. Landlord might give it to you for free just to clear out his warehouse. Good luck bro
If only! My gut tells me that what isn't at the end of it's "Service Life", many parts have a limit to how many hours they can operate, Art doesn't own. Also, many aircraft parts are single use, take it off and you can't reuse it. I'd bet that some, if not all of the airframes have liens on them.
@@ThatGuyMata it can work like that actually with commercial leases. I’ve seen it happen, I have a commercial lease right now that came with everything the business before left behind. They were behind 80k on rent and forfeited all of the businesses possessions when the locks were changed on them. It was written into the lease that the landlord would take control of any items left on the premise after defaulting for so long.
A successful business man knows when to back away from a deal and not let his own emotions or the "cool" factor cause him to make a bad deal or a deal that could cause issues later down the road. Mad respect Dave.
The other guy was loosing a shit tone of money on the deal and didn't expect Dave to bring so many people to scrutinize every single little nail and screw in that building, simple as that. If any of the paper trail is lost they are basically worth scrap value. Dave had no idea how good the guy's documentation was. Combine that with the his apparently erratic behaviour and the whole deal starts to smell bad. I'd have walked away as well.

Especially when it comes to potential business deals. They don’t teach that kind of experience in school. That’s one of the reasons I appreciate your content. Your straight forward about how it’s going.
That guy is the type of person that you meet at a gas station that stands outside with a cup in his hand, staring at people looking for arguments. Thanks Dave for being such a strong and patient individual because there is very little grown men that have taken that semi arrogant and childish man’s constant shadow threats.

as a recovering addict of 14 years now, this guy gives me huge joneser/drug addict vibes unfortunately. I wish this man and his son all the best. Great job Dave for one, staying calm and listening, and 2, listening to your gut.
...also: Maybe that 'security guard' was a sheriff or bailiff (or w.e. you guys use in the usa for forced evictions), hired by the landlord to evict and lock the place the second you guys left to keep all the valuables inside to recover lost rent, sheriff fee's, etc. ..or a member of that 'private contracting' company come to collect an expected payment... in force... o.O .. ya bud, getting out was a good idea.
@@matthumphrey4915 incredible. You definitely could be right about that. As soon as Dave called the landlord and said it was no deal. He may have then called and said yup. Close it up boys. Props to all the team here, handled it very well. This guy seems to be having a manic episode, seen it first hand with my mum for years. Feel for this family as they are obviously in some trouble and probably from the guys illnesses and stress
I was once in the line of work that delt with these kinds of people. I immediately recognized the same behavior and was virtually screaming walk away from this deal. Your gut served you well.
After you meet 2-3 people like this, you can easily spot the patterns. Having met several similar people in my past, and having been scammed a couple times (nothing major, but a few $100 here or there), the patterns become more apparent.
Damn Dave, I’m so glad you walked away from that “deal”, “donation”, or whatever that psycho wanted to call it, and you did it respectfully too. My gut was screaming the whole video, “walk away!” You would have gotten screwed for sure. $10K is a small price to pay to avoid the bigger headache you would have gotten yourself into. You don’t need that trouble. And let’s be honest, if you want a Dolphin helicopter to add to your fleet, you’ll be able to find a legit one and add the Sparks touch to it, especially with Joe’s help. 😀 Much respect to you! 🚁
And I forgot to mention, it’s very likely that most of that stuff is probably “hot”. Why would you have so many of the same items stockpiled, and move so many times in, out and around the country? And, stuff looked like it was moved around from the last time you were there because it was-right out of the warehouse to his house. Why else would he get so mad and offended when you brought it up? And lastly, Hans and Diesel Dave need to step in more with their opinions and in this case their concerns. I know it’s Dave’s/Sparks Motors money, but he values them as team members and had he listened to Hans this whole thing probably could have been avoided.
This sounds exactly like every conversation I've had with a scammer trying to rope me in. Never regretted walking away from conversations like these. They always act like they are "helping you out", "wanted to keep it simple", and never fail to mention "I can sell/get rid of X in an instant".

A few days coked up and it tends to make a man act unusual. My hats off to you for handling things the way you did. This guy I think was intending on running a fast con job. When a business guy doesn't want clear defined lines that should always be a red flag. He seemed to get upset because he felt he was caught. Good job for keeping your cool. I got the feeling his son was a little lost with his behavior as well. Maybe he should have let his son handle the deal from the start.
I thought it was odd that he said his son was in charge and he was just supporting him. But the kid never spoke. Art made me very uncomfortable and I stopped watching yesterday's video because I thought Dave was going to do business with this wack-a-doodle.
Facts, and I feel it’s more to the story why he is getting kicked out of wear house if you been a tenant renting and in good terms why would they chose another lease over you? Lol
I've dealt with this type of person numerous times (though never on this scale of transaction). You made a good call, I think it would've continued to spiral into headaches that you'd gladly pay $15k not to have. You shouldn't have to apologize for being organized, clear, and efficient, on a time constraint. Anyway, new subscriber and really enjoying your channel.
This is like an extended version of several craigslist interactions I've had, hah! When I sell, price is FIXED. Not a penny more, not a penny less. You get exactly the thing I'm selling, as described. "I'm 3 cents short" Don't care, find an ATM.
As someone who has buying and selling all kinds of items for over 20 years, 2 minutes in, in the last video and I've seen guys like this a dozen times. They are never worth dealing with, you never win with them, lies, lies and more lies.
Couldn't agree more. The ones that never stop talking and telling you how great they or what they have is are always full of it. They are smart at playing people by dangling a carrot but easy to spot once you have come across the type before.
A very classic attempt at deflecting or distracting "Oh, look at this", the avionics room and the room next to it that was locked and the key "disappeared?" If he really wanted to be transparent he would've ensured that these things were addressed right away, the fact that he had the key, but pretended that he did not if all part of his con game.
@@jnelsoninjax yep and Dave gave him an easy answer "let's walk around put a piece of tape on what's yours so we know" boom dude gets mad and defensive .
Yeah for real. They Want you to buy their crap without looking at it or getting an opinion. Then when you refuse to send money to their shady Swiss bank account they don’t wanna do business anymore.
You made the right call backing out of the deal and cancelling the check. Art says he was "crystal clear" and in his mind he probably was, but he's definitely not even close to okay. He reminds me of people I've known in the past who were struggling with drug abuse, schizophrenia, or both. Whatever his issue is, it's a shame to see somebody who clearly had it together once upon a time in such bad shape now. I hope he gets some help.
Definitely bro I agree. Just from the way he handles himself says everything. I know a meth head when I see one. Sad part about it is he actually tried to work with him and help em out but some people you just can't help if they can't help themselves.
To me personally it didn't look like he was tearing down to move out at all. For someone that worked 7 days nonstop the warehouse was in pristine condition without a few helicopters moved outside and everything else basically right where it was? Kinda sus man
Trying to get a straight answer out of that guy is like trying to nail Jello to a tree. Why do I think the landlord had private security there knowing Art is a loose cannon and as soon as that deal fell through, he swooped in to tell Art to GTFO and locked everything up?
A million views from guys who get to learn about this kind of experience, and how to identify something shady. The ability to take the loss and get on with business. This is a very valuable couple of videos. Thanks for your willingness to show this.
This was a excellent video ! Stressful obviously but you did such a good job keeping your cool , clearly communicating and listening well ! Watching you process this and coming to good conclusions is a different kind of valuable adventure ! Thank you 😊👍 you set a great example !
Yall gave him every chance to do a great deal and get him out of his troubles. Definitely doesnt seem like a "donation" when you are getting evicted. Glad you listened to your gut!
I am blown away at how calm Dave was! Keeping his emotions in check. Dealing with what became more and more obviously some kind of scam. Will we know for sure...is this the last chapter? Who knows, maybe the landlord will be giving him a call very very soon. My hats off to you for walking away. AND thank you so much for sharing the failures as well as the successes :) Fabulous From a fan in the Great White North :)

Yes. He did a great job of trying to restate the "new" deal, but Art resisted any effort to clarify as "pinning him down" or "dah dah dah" (nailing gestures). For him to change personalities so fast, I'd say "too many drugs -- or too few!"
It's pretty obvious that this guy has debts not only to the landlord, but to entities outside the US. And it sounds like they are scary entities. His world is collapsing and he is scared for himself and his family. This was not a legal operation in the least. Shady doesn't even begin to describe this dude. This is full on arms dealer like stuff without a warehouse full of guns.
Someone going into bankruptcy/foreclosure (like art) is overwhelmed and in a reck, financially and emotionally. And that's why Dave was patient and gentle.
I have to say that I appreciate videos like this, it shows how not every deal is a good deal. It shows lessons that are valuable to all of us about keeping a cool head and ensuring that a deal is managed to it’s fullest extent. Dave I have to say that although you lost 15,000 you probably saved your viewers collectively 100x that because we will be able to keep this in the back of our minds.
Notattacking the guy, and I maybe wrong, but he is either on drugs or he has been up too long and is exhausted and his brain is affected it's trying to keep going and he needs a long break, I hope whichever it is he gets help or he gets away from the situation, he seems manic and he needs rest and help, he's overwhelmed by it all! Hope he gets better!

And the sleep deprivation + drugs makes a man do some crazy shit, this could have ended very badly
Yeah, he could definitely have been lightly tweaking. Just the fact that he was in Phoenix, AZ, ups that chance to a probability.
@@benmiller5125 and money does more than both combined, people have been killed for less than 300k. Yep that was the impression that I had of him too, he was just so erratic and the way he was speaking made me think he was either unstable or on something or both.
I just found you on You Tube and watched you purchase a panel truck full of crap; a truck load of conveyor systems and games and a concrete mixer reworked.

Good call Dave. Losing $10k is probably not going to hurt you, where losing $300k is always an impact. You’ll probably end up with this stuff anyway, once the landlord forecloses and sells it all to you for $100k. Which is better since the courts will have removed any leans on the stuff.

I'm sorry it didn't work out, but not everything does and showing a video like this shows how real you are. Big fan brother, I hope my view helps recoup some of the money.
That dude was crazy. You listened to him much longer than I would’ve.
@@fkrioters1000My exact thoughts..
Yes. I also was thinking he is financially strained causing a mental breakdown. He also realizes he is going to lose even more with this deal. Dave shows great restraint and patience.
I believe a drug problem is causing a collapse of a business and financial ruin.
Seems like he's trying to donate it so he dosnt have to pay taxes
Honestly I'm surprised the guy let you film him. This is obviously going to go viral in the heli business
I suppose he was desperate
Exactly that's why. My gut feeling is that he did make a deal.
yo man i thought the same!
To be honest I think if you're dealing with this guy your should be recording it because things seem to go south with him a lot. Getting evicted early is suspicious.
@@Terrestrial01 interesting!
Dave will thankfully probably make back a good chunk of the $10k from these 2 videos. Although it's still obviously a loss.
Agree 100%
Dave, I’m so glad you guys uploaded this. You have a lot of younger fans and you set an AMAZING example for them on being respectful and keeping your cool in a very stressful situation. I have nothing but respect for you and the team! Bravo sir!
I 100% agree, well done Dave!! You handled this like a champion! Times/situations like this is when a man's true colors shows and you Dave did an amazing job of keeping it all together. Much respect!
Damn good point
Dude this guy energy gives me anxiety . Ive delt with guys like this talking out of both sides of his mouth. You handled it well Dave .
You're not kidding, it was giving me such bad anxiety that I had to skip through most of his talking
That's the truth
Watching this im amazed that Dave kept cool, full respect. The guy selling is out of space
Dave I can’t even begin to express how much respect I have for you bro. As a retired Deputy Sheriff I have in the past sometimes felt that the whole world was nothing but liars and thieves. That men of honor is just a thing of the past. Glad to see a man like you being the man you are.
Appreciate your service, so long as you weren't a corrupt cop... which means you're a unicorn.
Damn. Gotta say that dude is a loose cannon! You can tell just by the way he fast talks and fast walks. There’s some skeletons in the closet there somewhere! Your gut is always your best judge and that’s on $5k or $500k deals. Good call walking out
walk away from this
100% I would have told him to shove his junk
I guarantee this would of gone a different direction if Dave had a legal contract in hand ready for a signature
Lol that's not how this shit works. You can't evict someone and keep their shit 🤣
@@ThatGuyMatain many states, yes
@@EDDSkitz Not commercial property no.
Forget the deposit, you earned respect from a lot of people which is priceless. Thanks for the insight.
I got more respect for the dude losing a ton of money to help someone else than a rich youtuber trying to get millions worth of shit for more than half the price
Tell me you are jealous without saying you are jealous…
@@kerozen1909 shows that what you know, you don't know....
@@kerozen1909 If you were spending that sort of money wouldn't you want to know exactly what you were getting?
He wasn't losing as much as you'd think. Basically he was selling off the leftovers, the parts that he could not sell when he was running it as a business. Aircraft parts have to be very carefully documented. If any of the paper trail is lost they are basically worth scrap value. Dave had no idea how good the guy's documentation was. Combine that with the his apparently erratic behaviour and the whole deal starts to smell bad. I'd have walked away as well.
yeah but what about the offshore payment issue? the dude is drawing it up as a donation and you toss him the money under the table. i have a feeling there might be stipulations with the UN for all that stuff
I just gained a whole lot more respect for Dave and the guys for handling that situation the way they did. That definitely wasn’t the easiest situation to be put in and the patience and respect given was admirable. Hats off to you and your crew
You do realize that this whole entire thing was scripted and is completely fake right? Come on people!!! They are youtubers trying to make as much money off of views as they can!!! Think about it!
@@jakelance6 I respectfully disagree with you but I’m not looking to get into it
Guy looks like he’s about to have a nervous breakdown. Also probably on drugs…..
That dude was high on something
I think Dave just really, really, really wanted those helicopters.
This guy was a joke and the way you handled it is a perfect example of things I need to work on in my life because I would have probably smacked him especially when he was prancing around saying he was going to break a neck lol, we’ll get to breaking jerkoff, support you’re channel mainly because you truly try and help people not for money but because you have a kind heart, you can tell, keep up the good work
So glad you left!!! That Dude has serious issues!!! Not surprised he is being evicted!
Hey you know what Dave… I’m happy to see you guys posted this as a video on UA-cam. All too often we are shown only the success of an adventure and not enough of the hard truths or failures.
Joe Biden is an enemy to the success of mankind as we know it. A grave danger to society. A horrifically evil man. A terrorist, terorrising our country. You can only get a job with him if you chop your balls off. not a joke. Terorrism. Joe Biden is the largest financer of Islamic terror groups. An actual terrorist. Joe Biden is the real merchant of death
He's a guy under too much pressure, compounded likely by drugs. Can't think straight anymore.
EXACTLY. He's the exact same personality as many "gas station hustlers" I've encountered. the people who approach you in a parking-lot, who are having a rough-time and have an entire story to tell.
Yeah he was disagreeing with what he said on video last Fri..
as a recovering addict of 14 years now, this guy gives me huge joneser/drug addict vibes unfortunately.
Not finished with vid yet but yeah he was talking about being up last 3days working. I believe he's probably geeking out.
Good job staying clean
@@matthumphrey4915 incredible. You definitely could be right about that. As soon as Dave called the landlord and said it was no deal. He may have then called and said yup. Close it up boys. Landlord may have been holding them off to see if Dave could strike a deal.
So sad. I feel bad for the kid or kids. Idk who that young girl was but she is in the wrong place. Her and the son “look” innocent. And in reality they are. Their just being programmed completely wrong.
@@bigjim8088 yea I thought to myself, I bet you have after seeing how he acting. And even worse from first video. He got that 10k and was running for the hills. I think meth if I had to guess. Nowadays could be god knows but that’s what I think.
You handled it with who you have been seen you started selling cars many years ago. With honesty and God in front of you.
You have the patience of a saint Dave. I couldn’t have dealt with that conversation.
Me too, that guy is the worst. If your are selling it, then sell the stuff if not say that and move on. He is upset they came and started to inventory the stuff?!
He’s a tweaker a lot of them everywhere nowadays
Was hard to listen to! Would have been tough to be there dealing with it.
So much respect for you Dave. You were wise to walk away.
Lp
Yah, I'm autistic and so many years of my life I got completely taken by people who acted just like this.

good, he doesnt need another warehouse full of scraps
Lol
How did that tweaker come up with all these toys? You can tell hes a tweaker because a bunch of half built things lol.

Sometimes when things seem too good to be true, they really are. But you handled it like the man that you are, and you sir have my respect.
I'm not even 10 minutes into the video and I probably would have already walked away
was that guy on something, wow, yourpatience was out of thisworld!
Not the clear crystal you think he means haha
Definitely bro I agree. Just from the way he handles himself says everything. I know a meth head when I see one. Sad part about it is he actually tried to work with him and help em out but some people you just can't help if they can't help themselves.
To me personally it didn't look like he was tearing down to move out at all. For someone that worked 7 days nonstop the warehouse was in pristine condition without a few helicopters moved outside and everything else basically right where it was? Kinda sus man
Well put, I agree
"I haven't slept for three days". Well, dude, you hadn't slept for four days on Friday. Get off the shit man, then maybe you can sleep.

The amount of patience Dave shows with this guy is more impressive than the Blackhawk.
I have to say that I appreciate videos like this, it shows how not every deal is a good deal. It shows lessons that are valuable to all of us about keeping a cool head and ensuring that a deal is managed to it’s fullest extent.
