I wanted so bad for there to be a cool Titan exotic... The evade chest piece and fast agility boots are interesting to me, but nothing in PvP that I think will be super useful outside of those. Bungie plz :'(
Although Luke Smith had told me that the Sunbreaker exclusive armor piece was really cool and worth it... So I'm holding hope.

The taikonaut+dragons breath=so much area denial
You know you might be right. That's a lot of area of effect aka zone control. But we well find out later so as of right now we cannot suspect that if this combo is good in Pve but I really like where you are taking this. Possibly if this works out perfectly and if Dragons breath had a secret perk proximity detanation then I could see Dragons breath be a top tier Pve exotic.

Datto, remember, if the immolation fists grant you pyre, then you can also pick the seekers. Then you will have tracking explosive hammers. Sounds pretty deadly to me.

+Daniel Rutter They could use heavy ammo synthesis, the titans could use ruin wings for more heavy ammo drops, and could allow melee/grenades when they run out of sword charges. It could work, I'm sure Datto and his clan can make it happen. I only see a problem with taking down Crota's shield with the swords and maybe with the shriekers.

Those Titan boots scream shoulder charge spam, I love it.
Mk. 44 Stand Asides will have tighter turning radius. Sunbreakers will hold an extra solar grenade. ATS-8/Arachnid will allow Golden Gun to last longer.
Just some mention of the known buffs you can read out there on Bungie's armory.
DuneMarchers+the slug shotgun or the assault rifle with the front line perk will be pretty fun to experiment with.
imagine an exotic helm for titans that would give you a 1/4 of a super bar in reserve and the helmet design would be black with a visor from the recon helmet in halo with 2 horns coming from the ears and curving up wards and the visors color would change depending on which class you have so defender purple/ striker blue/white, sunbreaker red/orange
Datto, on what you said about Empyrean Bellicose: I think you may have read it wrong. You said it would recharge melee instead of your Super, but thats not it. You will be able to charge your super, its when its full and you can't charge it anymore where it will be good. People usually wait to use the super and if they see orbs on the ground they can't pick them up with their Super charged. Now, people can pick up orbs while the Super is charged and use it with your melee. Everyone seems to think that it always charges the ability, when in reality it charges the ability ONLY if the Super is charged.
HoS-14 was my first exotic armor piece, and I have never taken it off since. I don't think that will change very much with Taken King...

I think its called amplify on striker where storm fist kills reduce the cooldown of fist of havoc and i think with that one red arm exotic would be pretty good

The Taikonaut sounds really interesting. It pretty much gives you tracking, third eye, and surplus, so in PvP that turns every rocket with tripod and grenades and horseshoes into truth (just not as aggressive with the tracking)
Hey Datto is you read this know I am a huge fan and have a favor to ask you. When you get the chance can you talk about how the shoulder charge for strikers now feel a lot a hell of a lot more buggy and glitchy after the patch. I'm not the only Titan that noticed it my friends noticed it, and I was watching one of Gabriel's streams and even he noticed it. With all the Hammer time hype I hope this doesn't get overlooked seeing as how it would still be good if the year one supers were still worth using after the new supers come out.
Nice that Skullfort got buffed, but I was hoping for extra armor, ala The Ram. That would fit the whole theme of the helmet. If anything was gonna get a double melee charge, you'd think it'd be No Backup Plans
All those exotics look really viable (except Empyrean) The ones I personally look forward to playing with are Taikonaut, Dunemarchers (These look/sound so cool), Thagomizers and the thruster pack chest piece!
Its interesting that there is a new Titan chest piece, but no discovery node for it on the Blueprints page, same with the new Hunter chest...
Datto, after seeing all of the possible builds for Sunbreaker and the exotics we've seen thus far, do you plan on continuing to main a Titan? Or are you planning to switch to Nightstalker?

SoI have what I think could potentially be a semi-viable Taikonaut launcher ammo-gen build, provided that there are Launchers available with the Perks that would be most useful (I haven't spotted any as far as Faction purchases go, and it looks like Reforging might be a year one only thing)
Step 1, Aquire Taikonaut
Step 2, Aquire a suitable launcher, by which I mean a Launcher with both Clown Cartridge and Surplus (I haven't actually checked this is possible, but if Surplus is unavailable, then G&H/Grenadier/Army of One would probably suffice) AS WELL AS a magazine size of one, so you reload after every shot.
Launch rockets like no tomorrow, kill stuff, find ammo.
No ammo drops? reload, ideally CC makes an appearance and gives you an extra shot or two, giving Surplus time to proc, or Grenadier/Army of One time to charge a grenade, which hopefully you can kill something with, kill more stuff, rinse, repeat, explosions, ye.
I had pretty good success with a similar concept relying on Ruin Wings and Field Scout & Surplus on the Corrective Measure from the VoG, however with Corrective Measure being unascendable in the near future at least, and the change to Field Scout with patch 2.0, I'm steadily missing it more and more.

Wait, I haven't been catching up with the Taken King news. So what does Datto mean by so-and-so being a year 2 exotic? What happens to exotics like Armamentarium or any other exotics that I didn't see in the exotic blueprint thing?
"Thagomizer" is actually the proper term for the spikes on a stegosaur's tail.
As a guy who uses rocket launchers A LOT in PvP, the Taikonaut may be my new favorite Exotic Titan armor, but those boots look pretty cool, too. All in all, I am happy to see that Titans will be getting some AMAZING Exotics in TTK.

+DattoDoesDestiny Hey man! So how does leveling work if the spark of light(?) is used to get up to level 25? What I mean is that I have had two over level 31 guardians on xbox and now I am buying a PS4, I have no desire to slowly almost get to level 20 by playing the story, I would rather run through it quickly to get to some TTK content. But what I am asking is when I auto level 25 it up will I have all the necessary skill points to spend on my current subclasses or will I have to continue to level up to get skill points assuming my subclass only has like the few perks you get from the intro?

Hey Datto (or anyone else that can answer me) so i enter into the bungie site to check this out for myself and i've seen 2 armamentarium: 1 with the year 1 values and another one with the new year 2 ones. My obvius question is: Is armamentarium really going to come with us in year 2 even without apearing in the exotic armor collection? And if the answer is yes, how i will be able to upgrade it?

interested in that space cowboy Helmet and those unreal tournament boots. I Shoulder charge alot, and to me that tight turn ability fits perfect for my aggressive play style.

One thing I'm confused by and hopefully someone can help, but I'm still not 100% on how light and damage/defence work together. For example, say all my gear is at 170, except my primary which is only 150. This puts my light at 165ish, so does that mean my primary still deals damage at 150 or does it deal damage at my light level? Didn't really think of this before and haven't seen or talked about.

Melee adds to fist of havoc? Lots of shoulder charging.
Alot of people seem to think that these items are underwhelming.
I think these items are really great items for pvp and pve.
Getting tracking for all rocketlaunchers? Hell yeah, now you can technicly reroll yourself something with clusterbombs and have something that is similar to hunger of crota or gjallarhorn. Heck, the Dragonsbreath will be soo much more usefull for strikes now. with that helmet you have your own legendary truth with you if you still will use a grenade and horseshoe rocketlauncher. I really like the that helmet already!
Gauntlets that give us two melee charges and recharge melee and FoH when using the other? with the right build and playstyle, you might have actually something that will replace items like the Armamentarium in PvP. These items will certainly add alot of flavour into the game for Titans by adding new ways to play the most optional way.
The Twilight Garrison Reminds me of Turian armor from mass effect.

I NEED HELP WITH THE RED BULL QUEST!!!! Does the 'Focused Light' consumable go hand in hand with the Red Bull Quest?!?!?!? I got my Focused Light today from The Postmaster but I wasn't sure if that guarantees that I got the Quest for TTK or if they are two separate rewards meaning I need to buy more cans of Red Bull and redeem more codes to specifically get the Red Bull Quest... ANYONE!?!?!?!? HELP!!!!!!!!
Datto I think you might be underestimating the Taiyonaught, assuming it stacks with exotics and stuff that's gonna be a powerhouse with dragons breath and might actually make it a viable weapon in crucible. Not to mention rolling for tripod and grenades and horseshoes with that helmet on basically gives you a legendary truth.

I loved my Glasshouse helm and not seeing it in Y2 atleast at this moment makes me sad but atleast I still can be a Saint-14 again also Taiko Dragon's Breath for the win!

Saint 14 is all I need I don't care about anything else, unless there is something similar for sunbreakers which doesn't seem to be the case.

Truth's tracking is already really good, using it with the Taikonaut would be kind of redundant.

Thagomizers! Thagomizers! Either it's Overload+Amplified or Amplified 2x. If the melee kills recharge super works WITH shoulder charge, it'll be really good for PvE. Fist everyone.
Twilight Garrison seems like it grants the Nightstalker's evade. Taikonaut=Ruin Wings. Dunemarchers are like the Radiant Dance Machines I guess. Though jumping 180 shoulder charges will be SO much easier with it. Gimme.

Um Datto... The Twilight Garrison coudl work like the nightstalker's shadestep. Also, I think that this might give titans... a form of blink. What I mean by this is that it could move as far as shade step. But shadestep is limited to the ground. Thus limiting movements. If it was in the air, your could possibly, I dont know say move up higher into the air. If this is true, then striker titans "Death from above" Perk will be powerful, mainly its only problem is its height.
I think it'll help the Titan skating more then the Dunmarcher as it says running. It'll be useful as for getting close to enemies by titan skating and add shoulder charge and death from above to the mix it can good way for the rushers (though I'd doubt you'll be able to trigger shoulder charge after you evade mid air)

Ruin wings are a dark below exotic not a taken king exotic.
