I have lots of ideas for cables and decorative stitches on the knitting machine. Let me know if you would like to see more 😊
Claro que sí!! A mi me interesa aprender hacer puntadas y más trenzas!! Seria genial

@@waltons-crochet there are a few more on my channel already. More coming next month 😉
Great tutorial, I would love to see more decorative stitches. I would also like to learn how to make a sweater(pullover) and use the cable stitch or other decorative stitches. Love your videos so well done.
Omg! Great idea, BTW I love the bird sounds in the background it totally reminded of home near northern Minnesota.
Finding a music everyone will enjoy is difficult as music is so subjective but I figured everyone likes bird sounds. Thanks for the comment
Yes please add more. You have Clear and concise instructions. Thank you thank you. You do beautiful work.
I am a total beginner, and will have to watch a lot more videos before I even think of trying this..as soon as I get my Sentro machine.
I bought my machine today and I can't wait to start with this. Please keep sharing your genius ideas. Greetings from Costa Rica
Thank you. Good luck.
I'd love to see more cable designs Emily. Going to try this on a jumper. Love watching your tutorials.
Thanks. This video is quite old. I’ve done a few different types of cables since 😊
@@emilysmith2784 ooh ok I'll have a look for them ones.
Thanks for the video! Would love to see more Addi decorative stitches and projects. Would also be helpful if you added the instructions in the description 😉 too.
I like this and would like to see more cable designs. This video wasn’t easy to understand because when you attached the pieces to the needles the back of your hand obscured the ability to see what was going on. I love what you are doing, have subscribed and look forward to watching all your videos. Thank You!
cant wait for another tutorial from you! you're so creative! im glad i found your channel. I just bought my 48pins thank you for inspiring me to be creative!
Great video. I would love to see more cable techniques and decorative stitches. Also would love to see more cardigans and sweaters if you can.
Thank you. I’ll see what I can do, one can never have too many sweaters 😉
Thank you for all your videos they have really inspired me to buy this machine.
Honestly great to see someone who’s really engineering their patterns and thinking in 3D.
Although I’m stuck as heck right now because I’m feeling creative on constructing loom patterns on this and don’t have the right screwdrivers to strip the machine. I don’t know why they can’t be supplied ready to use. No wonder most people give up on them.
I’d love to see more of your creativity on how to really construct items as these machines have real potential! Very innovative design you have there! ♥️
Thank you for your lovely comment 😊
Would love to see more!!
This is genius. I have been stressing on how to get more from my machine. But because I have a crotcheting background and not knitting. It’s been difficult. I would love to see more videos 😇
Thank you. More techniques coming soon. I am also a crocheter rather than knitter. Have you tried knooking? It’s knitting with a crochet hook, I prefer it to crochet now. I have some videos on my channel if you want to try it out.
That’s new to me. I will definitely check them out. Thanks!
This is an amazing way to get cables. I had never thought of that!
Thank you. If you try it let me know how it goes 😊
God bless this is a lot of work, thanks for the tutorial it was very clear and helpful
question: do you knit with needles at all? if you do is this easier and/or faster for you?
I knit with needles and to me it just seems faster and less complicated to cable stitch that way but I've never tried with a machine so I don't have that perspective
happy knitting!
No. I don’t knit with needles. I could never master it. I can knook which is knitting with a crochet hook and I do find knitting the base of the project on the machine and then doing afterthought cables quicker but this video is mostly aimed at those who cannot knit by hand. Thanks for the comment ☺️
I love that you show us more things that we can do ♥
I don’t like having too many hats 😂
@@emilysmith2784 lol, I don't like hats at all. I love in the desert 😉
Wow! That’s impressive! I’m not sure if I’m up to it though. I’d have to practice a lot! Thank you for the great tutorial ❣️🌹
Would love to see more decorative stitches!
There are a few more on my channel now 😊
I think this is great for people who can’t hand knit, but honestly I would find it easier to cable by hand.
Me too. I don’t really use this method anymore but it is much faster so maybe if I’m ever in a rush I might use it again.
Yes this is great. And I would like more videos. Thank you 😊
Wow, that looks really nice. I can’t wait to try it!
Amazing job. I like your innovation that You bring to these machines 🧶🤗
Thanks. 😁
Eres una experta en manejar esta tejedora 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
very cool i will share it in my circular knitting group
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
@@emilysmith2784 you are welcome :) have a nice week end
You are amazing. The patience involved. I have done cables on the The Bond and by hand, but never had patience on the circular machine :/
Thank you. Having access to only 3 stitches at a time is quite limiting. I am considering a flat bed machine, do you like The Bond?
@@emilysmith2784 I LOVE the Bond. I've made hats and scarves, lap blankets for those in wheelchairs, etc. for our homeless and Vets for more than 25 years. As I've gotten older, I've had surgeries on my hands, I can't produce as much as I want by hand. My sister got me the Bond for my BD one year, the rest is history ♥ She got me the Addi about 6 years ago to make hats. Love learning new things on both of them.
@@walkbyfaith1258 that’s awesome. I guess I’ll start dropping hints now and see what Santa brings me.
Thank you so much for sharing, 🌷.
I've just got an addi for Xmas and want to do jumpers / cardigans for grandkids so I would be interested in seeing how to do those please. Thanks
I have a slouchy cardigan and lace jumper tutorials on my channel already. More coming next year 😊
Brilliant idea. Wow
Thanks
Excelente, gracias por compartir tus conocimientos
Beautiful work than you soooooo much
Hi. Nice structured look on cable knit there! Can you tell me where to get the plastic markers. They look handy as!
I got mine on Amazon. They are called stitch markers.
Love this! Could you show how you ended up attached the finished panel to make the end tube? I imagine it would be using the same technique as attaching the cable?
I used a mattress stitch. I am working on some cabled wrist warmers and other cabled things.
Awesome video, love the cable. Would like to know can you knit a whole cable Jersey on the machine?
Thanks. I have some cable projects coming up.
that is brilliant
Que belleza,felicitaciones
Yes please ❤
Thank you.
That is amazing!
Thank you
Wow 😳😳😳😳 , thank you .
Thank you 😊
You’re welcome.
This looks like so much work I'd rather just do this on a regular loom Plus because you are not speaking I'm just not understanding what you're doing a 100%...
This was a first experiment of many. I don’t use this technique much anymore. My afterthought cables is my preferred technique these days.
This is absolutely amazing!!! Thank you for sharing! I would love to see more of your ideas/techniques !😍
Thank you 😊
Me gustaría ver más puntadas muchas gracias
oh man this is sooo niceee, i wanna see if its possible to make the cables smaller :o
That is something I want to experiment with too.
Tratando de hacerlo !👌
buena suerte
Lo logré!!!!!!pero no puedo enviarte foto!!
When doing strips, is there any maths to consider like multiples of 9's? Can you do bigger cables that are 12 stitches wide?
I would say to make the strip longer than your project as you can always rip it back if its too long. It shouldnt have to be too much longer, maybe an extra 2-3 rows for every 10 rows of your project just to be safe. If you end up experimenting let us know your findings
Is this particular tutorial for a left handed person
I am right handed and crank the machine with my right hand going clockwise. Depends of you are comfortable doing that.
How did you know to attach markers every 6 rows on the cables and where to attach markers on the panel that you stuck the cables to?
I assume you used a regular hand knitted cable pattern and then converted it. Could you share that pattern written down? If it is not too hard.
I just feel it would be easier for me to follow than with the video alone.
If you can't share the pattern written down, I just want to thank you for the work you did so far, as I have enjoyed all your videos.
It was trial and error to figure out 6 rows. Any less and the strip would not reach, any more and the strip was too loose. Sorry I don’t have a written pattern to offer.
Hi, can you explain how to make just the 5 stitches? Please
@@wenkacr you are just making a really small flat panel. So cast on only 5 needles. Add the working yarn and then go back and forth instead of round and round. You need to ensure all needles are fully down before you turn around. I have a flat panel tutorial if you need more guidance.
Emiliana gracias ,por favor la explicación para uno tejer en plano ,pocos puntos ,puedes dar la explicación más despacio . Gracias 👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋

Can crochet thread be used to make doilies
I don’t think so. I am not even sure I would knit a doilies. They are usually crocheted right?
? since you go 5 rows before you attach, does that mean the cable is not fully attached?
At the start you do 2 rows before you attach. You need to have a few rows between attaching or you won’t have the length you need to cross. But no, the cable isn’t fully attached as it would be in traditional knitting. I am however working on a new technique where it will be (hopefully). 😉
Garter stitch and moss stitch
I’ve never tried moss stitch before.
Where are in this machines
i got mine on amazon
Where are in this machines
It would be nice if you actually showed at normal speed how to do the 5 panel stitches. I tried slowing it down, but still cannot figure it out. Thanks for the video, though!
Do you meant the strips I make right at the start? I’ll be doing a few more cable videos so I’ll be sure to explain that part a little more in the next one for you 😀 thanks for the tip 😉
Shame you are obstructing the camera view each time you put the cable strips onto the needles I am a very nearby ( Got my Sentro yesterday)
I tried my best. 😊
I do appreciate this video, however, the nature of doing cables on a Sentro/Addi requires a talking
tutorial. If this was simple knitting, ASMR is acceptable.
Thanks for the suggestion. I like to have a mix of talking and non talking tutorials to appeal to a wider audience. I just uploaded a new cable video with a voiceover of you wanted to check it out 🙂
I concur! The most important step of making a panel of only 5 stitches on a 40 or 48 needle machine is just breezed right by.
Me puede hacer el favor de explicar en español
Spanish subtitles are there now. I hope they are ok 😊
Yes but please can you speak it helps me understand
I do in my newer videos. I didn’t have a microphone when I first started and the audio quality on my phone was really bad.
