I just picked my knook hooks back up after not using them for a few years. Made myself a pair of mittens. Definitely easier to knit in the round 😊. You do the pearl stitch differently than I did. Will have to try that. Maybe my ribbing will be more elastic.

Why not use a double pointed knitting needle more stable than that cord

I will for sure be trying out the scrunchie pattern! I've crocheted scrunchies for a while, but crochet eats quite a bit more yarn than my knitting machine does per inch of produced fabric. I'll see if I can get it to work, and then maybe I'll get some more bang for my buck.

As someone who's knit, knooked, Tunisian crochet, and crocheted by hand for years but also has RA, I love your reminders to be kind. Now a days, doing things by hand causes a lot of pain for bigger projects. I love still being able to craft with my machine and adding hand knit/crochet details that don't leave me with curled up useless fingers when I'm done. Your tutorials help me learn so many things I wouldn't have even thought of and do even more projects I didn't think could be done on a machine. Thanks for keeping me crafting when I thought calling it quits was my only option. Stumbling across your page was the reason I bought a machine in the first place. Thank you.

Thank you and thank goodness I found your channel!! I just got my machine last night. My son and I tried it out and he made a perfect beanie, but later I tried one by myself and it looked worse than your worst example on this video! I restarted 3 times before giving up, nearly in tears. Cannot wait to go home and try it again, with the right tension!

I love your tutorials! I have been knitting with sentro for a while now. Still couldn't figure out how to do a slit in a piece. Like for afterthought heels. Any idea ?

I am a hand knitter as well as a circular machine knitter. This was an excellent tutorial about increases and decreases. What I want to know is if you have tried using "short rows" on the machine for more shaping? I am thinking about Japanese short rows. If you have figured out how to do this would you make another tutorial? Thank you

What is the best cast off to maintain the stretch capacity of the ribbing? Im finding "normal" cast off creates an end that has very little or no stretch.

its nice to have an English voice and prices in pounds 😁. My new Sentro came with 4 balls of yarn which feel and smell like sheep's wool. one looks like chunky which all demos point to being a no-no. Do you have a video comparing standard weights (DK, aran, chunky e.g.) and also pure wool vs acrylics?
