Definitely waiting for the V2-R2 if they'll become available internationally. Really honest of you to point it out.
We're gonna try to turn it around really quickly and are definitely planning on international vendors. We've had a lot of people express interested.
I am a V1 customer and I was not really following the reddit post that I just discovered. I do see all the consistent updates to make up for all the V1 owners, but I am sad to see I missed the deadline to have them exchanged for the V2's. I still will be trying to purchase a set of the new ones when I can because I really do love the V1's, they may be my favorite switch in terms of tactility. I appreciate your transparency and updates! Keep up it up man.

Im very excited to see these coming back, i got round one and they are my favorite tactile switches with the only thing killing it being the actuation issues during gaming. Looking forward to getting my hands on these new ones so i can use them more :)

Hi Brian, v1 buyer here and I've received my v2 replacements earlier this week. The smooth yet pronounced tactile feel is as incredible as the originals but this time without the v1 issues! I'm happy to report that these are my all-time favorite switches and the wait was absolutely worth it. Please don't ever stop producing these switches.

I was one of the v1 buyers who opted to have them replaced with the v2 ones due to the actuation issues. My v2 switches arrived a few days ago and they sound and feel SO good! Colorway is spot on to v1 as well. Thank you again!!

I'm a V1 buyer and I this is the first I'm seeing of the V2's. I'm hoping a restock happens sometime soon because similarly to others I have experienced issues that I now know are due to the long pole. I missed the deadline for swapping mine but hopefully y'all restock soon so I can get some improved switches. Keep it up!

Great job of the V2. They carry the same soul as the V1. Tactile are sensitive to lube, thus is understandable why oil lube is chosen for these. Great to use stock and as usual can take it up a notch by hand lubing them with your preferred lube.

V1 owner here with V2 replacements! Absolutely loving it.
Just got mine and have them installed in a Meletrix Zoom75. Awesome switches!! Combination is so thocky. Coming from GMMK Pro with Durock T1.
To me the sound is oddly PERFECT 👌

That's the plan! And its not NK's fault on the shipping. Rates are rates and they're out of our control.
I do believe it's an NK situation. I often order switches and accessories from CannonKeys, Bolsa, Prevail (RIP), Chosfox, other smaller vendors... Glarses are on the way... Shipping is acceptable and never had to pay taxes on small packages/quantities, I'm in Canada.

I purchased the v1 switches from Prevail, but I had issues where a key wouldn't register. I'm hoping the v2 will be better. I love the work you do, Brian. 🎉

@@badseedtech No, I had no idea that replacements were available. Prevail went out of business late last year, so I had no one to contact.
Glad you didn't let the hiccups from round one discourage you from improving the switch. Any updates for those of us who opted for replacement switches from the round one batch?
Replacement is already sent out. Most people should receive them by now since they come unannounced in your mail.

Are you going to do a Round 3 anytime soon?
I picked up some V2s on the secondary market but not enough for the board I want to use them on so I found some V1s but there’s obvious differences.
What are the spring weights on the V1s? I’m unable to find any info and the springs in the V2s are much beefier springs and require more force, which I like. But want to spring swap the V1s now with a spring equivelant to what’s in the V2s
How crisp is the bump? I’m wondering if they compare to U4T(62g). also I appreciate badseed telling intl buyers to wait till r2
Hey Brian, big fan of the channel and a buyer of the V1 batch. I see some other commenters talking about V1 issues, and I'm curious if you might be able to weigh in on something I've experienced. I have a them in a Keychron Q1 Pro and while I love the sound and feel there are a lot of instances of double input during a normal keystroke of typing. Is this an issue others have experienced?

Anyone got an idea of how they compare to the Gazzew Boba U4T(62g)? I'm EU based so will be waiting for the next round for more localized sellers.
I just received my batch of V2s from NovelKeys. To be honest they are almost unusable out of box. The crunchy, ticking/tinging I feel and hear is awful. I assume they will be better after hand lubing, but in 2023 these seem behind the times. Also the pre-travel before the start of the bump is surprising, coming from Baby Kangaroos, this was a bit shocking. I'm going to lube them, and hopefully that helps, but I wanted to give my honest feedback.
What's the bottom out force? I have gateron switches with 70g bottom out force in my keychron q3 and it makes me type slower than my keychron v6 brown switches which are mid to low 50s.
Missed opportunity to call them “badseed techtiles”
Sadly, my keyboard uses Gateron Opticals so not an option for me unless I get a new board, which, being poor, isn't very likely (though, a cheap hot swap mechanical might be fun to mod tbh)
Tester68 and GMK67 cost less than these switches 😂
it's probably better to use a more common keyboard instead of saying "it sounds like this kb" so more of us have an actual comparison point.

Do they not have interference for north facing LED's and cherry profile keycaps? I would like to put these in one of my older boards.
Given how long a stem they have I’d be shocked if you get interference.
Also if you’re using PBTFans cherry profile I think they’re a touch taller than OG GMK.

Sorry, no. I'm unable to provide a timeline bc manufacturing is too unpredictable. We have the design finalized but we'll still need to submit order, quality check the batch, send them to packers, and finally receive them in the states. Will take a minimum 3 months I would guess.

Absolutely! Only issue is they will add a blue hue to your LEDs.

Respectfully - its been a year and a month since the v1. We've also replaced over 10,000 switches for people that have reached out requesting assistance and made sure all of them were taken care of before we even announced an on-sale for v2. Buyers of V1 got taken care of better than I've seen most companies do and he's STILL taking care of V1 buyers lmao My boy takes care of his people. All they gotta do is reach out!

I've said it so many times already I feel like a broken record, selling switches in a 36 pack is so scummy.
You can't at a glace tell price per switch and you are FORCED TO OVER BUY if you want anything with the in-between sizes like a tkl or 75%.
2 packs for a 65
3 packs for a 75%, TKL, or FRL at 108 switches.
For the largest of the 3, the TKL is 87 or 88 keys normally.
That is 20 switches more than you need to pay.
Please stop selling in 36 packs and go back to 10 packs or the standard 70-90-110. (edit: I know this isn't you badseed, I loved these tactiles and want more, but NK is such scum of the earth, they don't honor warranties, they only sell by 36 packs. I just can't trust them any more).
I’m surprised to hear NK doesn’t honor warranty, as I’ve had great experiences with their customer service team.
@@flipninja55 yeah, they give out a sheet of paper saying what isn’t acceptable for their warranty program.
When I asked for them to warranty one of their plastic keyboards because it was warped so badly that it was see-saw’ing on my table. Warping was not on their sheet of unacceptable things. So I contacted their customer support team and they basically said “You should expect some warping” and then promptly told me to fuck off.
Given how Novelkeys chooses to run their inventory I think the standardized 36 count boxes are here to stay. No need to make 3 different SKUs per switch, worry about different discount codes or the like.
Maybe international vendors will package them differently but don’t forget you can always vote with your wallet 👍
