Review video?
I ordered one, it's my first mechanical keyboard, and I love it. I needed a keyboard like this, but I didn't think I could find one until now. Thank you so much!
@switch and click hey I love your videos and sorry this is very late but where will I be able to buy this desk pad from
Can you donate me one please... The keyboards you show are beautiful and cool but it's out of my budget, please donate me one of yours please 😊
Just need more keycap options and switches for the low profile community
In my head I was like "THE SWITCHES WHAT ABOUT THE SWITCHES"!?! lol switches are key 🗝️
@@lookatthem3216 Nuphy has a few of its own branded switches that are variations on the Gateron low pro 2.0s.
just get mx switches with a low pre-travel... Kailh Speed Bronze will feel like a low profile board and you get all the options. Akko CS Silver are a full 0.1 more shallow than low profile switches.
@@itainteasy People often prefer low-pro for the sleek look.
@@TechnoLawyer but then complain when they find themselves in a moated ecosystem begging for options to customize the look.
they managed to rip off keychron AND nuphy at the same time, good job!
Looks more like the Nuphy air 75 than anything. I have an Air 75 with Nuphy’s speed switches (they’re named something dumb like Rose Glacer or Water Lilly or whatever, but what do you call a short travel linear switch with very low activation force? A speed switch). It is far better with the speed switches than it was with standard low pro reds. My only complaint is that it sounds a bit hollow. I need to mod it.
Low pros are nice for some setups. I like my Air 75 for my office setup at work. Desk isn’t very large, and using a low pro board eliminates the need for a wrist pad.
@@TechnoLawyer I have aiy60 with browns, like the tactility but only use it when not at my desk, I place the keyboard over my laptop keyboard and I love it
It is hallow it's true but it's fine for me as I use it only when on the go
You know this how custom keyboard is ppl rip off each other until they create something new right?
@@lolvanced there's nothing custom about red dragon 💀
@@blessedpigeon6304 If they have hotswap = They're customable keyboard
my wrists will be thankful for low profile keyboards
tbf high profile keyboards wont be damaging your wrists if it is angled more than 15 degrees
@@poo48 yep. I do not like low profile for this reason.
I accidentally found out the hard way that regular switches and low profile switches are very different 🥴
Can you elaborate? Was thinking of getting low profile keycaps to replace my stock Vissels V84 ones.
@@null9974 If you look up pictures, you’ll see that the pin placement is different. They aren’t interchangeable so, you’d need a completely different pcb.
@@null9974 The keycaps should be fine though!
@@MaydaySilly The keycaps should not be fine I fear. I saw somewhere that the stabilizer's height becomes a problem when buying regular sized keycaps, and that those need replacing too
@@null9974my regular switches are much louder than my low profile ones of the same colour, the low profile tend to sound more muted which I like.
I'd love to see a low-profile comparison video on this, the Keychron K3 pro, Nuphy Air75/96, and Azio Cascade Slim.
And K652
They mentioned in the comments that this is the K652 @@__Random_user_
I got a Keychron K3 and liked it so much I picked up an Nuphy Air96 and it’s kinda becoming my daily driver. Lubed the switches and added some keeb tape and it’s sounding really good!
IMO low profile keyboards aren't bought for their sound; they're bought for their convenience. Both shorter keycaps and smaller/thinner board theoretically makes the keyboard more backpack friendly, both because the keycaps are less likely to catch on things (more shallow spaces between the keycaps) and because the keyboard is just overall more slim making it more compact and easier to fit in a backpack, or any bag for that matter.
For me it's the ergonomics. Don't have to angle up my wrists as much.
Also because they are beautiful. You may like the chonk but I prefer the sleek.
Would be one of my favorites but the keycaps are too circular for me
Just swap it
I'm actually considering this keyboard as my entry to low profile mechanical. Maybe if it's modded with lube and sound dampening it could be a sweet budget option? Would love to see a full video! Maybe call it "modding a cheap keyboard to sound premium" 🤣
Look at keychron K3 v2
@@SlavaBagmut one feature that I need though is 2.4ghz. My desktop doesn't have Bluetooth
I bought a NuPhy Air 96 but after using it for all of two days I went back to my Keychron K4 Pro. One issue was that I kept hitting the wrong keys when there was no space between the standard keys, the arrow keys, and the numpad. But the other issue is that I have been spoiled by the great enthusiast switches available for full profile keyboards and they just don’t exist for low profile keyboards.
I have an older sibling who LOVES tech and gaming. They would LOVE this
I have the EARTO and love it, just wish the switches were hot swap but I bought it for the sleekness, ergonomics and wrist comfort, no need for a wrist pad/rest!
Love my low profile keychron for typing
looking forward to seeing the review
I have the Lofree version of a low profile keyboard and they sound really nice.
Will be one of the first to buy when it comes to India. There's seriously a lack of low profile options since keychron doesn't sell its k3 here, and nuphy doesn't ship to India. The only option is the Skyloong Nt68, which doesn't have the Function keys (yeah I need em)
There is just a lack of good keyboards in general here in India. I cry whenever I see someone recommending ajazz, akko, wooting etc keyboard and the price being double that for me here
is it possible to put normal size keycaps on a keyboard like this?
Definitely needs lube and a tape mod. Can you revise this one?
My bad wrists need a low profile keeb, but I refuse to make the switch because of the lack of switch options...
Cool. The amazing Magic Keyboard 2 is the most stylish, most compact but more functional than a 40% or a 60% or a 65%. All keyboards are even better if it's suspended just a millimeter from your lap (w/ a stable rig cradle that's as wide as a lengthy deskmat or wide table that slides in and out and goes up or down ).
God bless.
I got the fnc streak 65 to try a LP keyboard, i looove it. Wooting 60HE is my main go to for now though
@switch and click hey I love your videos and sorry this is very late but where will I be able to buy this desk pad from
I’ve had this keyboard for a week and I’m loving it
Looks like a NuPhy Air75 knock-off.
Sounds alright, but I'm still happy with the rk84 recommendation from you a couple of years back
Love mine!!
nice.. what key switches did they use?
Just bought! Looking forward to trying the blue switches - I also just got the Air75.. let’s see how similar they are
Thoughts? I'm tossing up between them, would love to hear your insights
The real question is can you use nuphy's switches and coast PBT keycaps on this board?
My first time seeing a Redragon keyboard without their gaudy bright red logo right on top
I wonder why...
How does it compare to the Nuphy Air75? I got the Air75 recently and really like it.
It's actually really similar, except NuPhy has more rectangular keycaps
I'm very curious where you bought this wonderful rug😭❤
Your voice is good for asmr very comfortable to hear
Man it feels good to see smaller budget companies like Redragon become big players and come out with high quality stuff like this. Like 5 years back it was a completely no-name brand and now almost everyone in the keyboard community knows about them.
Redragon has been doing real good since their Kumara keyboard
Hi I have some questions like are there any bugs on mac ? Can you try this keyboard on mac ? Do we have to remap the keys (command and option keys ) on mac ? For example we have to do remapping on the keyboard which is designed for windows primarily but can work on mac . Bluetooth issues ? Switching between devices does Bluetooth lags ? Battery life? Is Redragon rgb software available on mac ? Hope you find this comment 🤞
What do you think about the RK84 as a starting point? Need a new one and don't want to break the bank.
@@airlifts999 cant find it in germany and in black anywhere... on top of that its not wireless what is a must for me
im planning on going for akko silver switches and some DBLshot PBT caps
bought it yesterday I was wondering if i can replace switches with gateron ones as it comes with outemu swit
i love the name i wanna buy it so badly
can you show a switch replacement?
I have found a way to make them even more low profile by replacing the mechanical aspects
Beautiful keyboard sound is nice
is it ok to replace my mechanical keyboard with low profile keycaps?
Reminds me of Nuphy, quite sexy for a Red Dragon
after using mt3 Keycaps, I could never!
If it isn't a cherryprofile cap, then Im excited for variety.
It sounds more like a membrane keyboard
looks like a keychron board with those caps
sounds like an electric typewriter
Red dragon is just MSI knockoff
told u bro when u first started lol. LowPro is where it’s at !
Hello @SwitchandClickOfficial do you Will the keycaps will be able to swap them for a different style? are they compatible with the k3 keycaps?
Haven't thought of owning low profile keyboard.
Can I have a link to the mat?
its the coffee shop desk mat by Hipyo Tech
I love this keyboard got mine 2 days ago ❤
i literally CANT type on normal keyboards, since ive been using laptops for over 12 years in arrow, avoiding PC computers, ithis is what i needed
Somehow, Redragon manages to make halfway decent keyboards for super cheap. It's pretty impressive, really.
i have the k552 and rather inpressed with how good it is, nice and compact and has some whight to it for the the price point its at, before the wourld want mad that is with recent events
I like flat keyboards. I'm so used to chicklet boards. I'd probably actually buy this.
The lisp is crazy 😳
i wish low profile keyboards to be more available here where i live
Ha e you tried Nuphy?
@@Rcmathis i did not even heard about it. The only options are the keychron ones, and some lowtier brand called Natec Gaming.
Can you please do a review on the Roccat Pyro
They should have called this Nuchron
My one arrived, I got with red switches and did not liked. Bought brown switches and when I changed the rgb led glass is touching the metal bump part of the brown switch what is removing the switch bump. This is normal? There is a way to fix it?
I have the brown version of this and it feels too soft. There's a slight tactile but I make wayyyyy less mistakes on my logitech G915. If it's a little harder, it would have been perfect.
Redragon or redgear which is better....?
is there any kind of silent lowprofile keyboard that exist?
can you still hand lube these low profile switches?
The price on this thing is crazy good
Honestly not a bad price and it looks good
Only thing I don't like is the placement of pageup and down below home and end instead of in between like on other mechanical keyboards. Otherwise I would highly consider it.
Love low profile
i want this so bad cuz I've been suffered typing my laptop or computer from far
It sounds like membrane xe
Does it have PBT keycaps?
YES. i have a high profile one and i keep pressing the wrong keys all the time. :(((
is it also called the Redragon tk84?
Why did I think the orange space bar was a hot dog sausage
Price?
wow...nice job redragon...
I got the Redragon Elise 75 % keyboard it has blue switches
Which low profile is the best so far?
I need a smaller keyboard, a mini
My hands are so small regular keyboards tire me out
Just looks more aesthetic.
Does it have a 65 version?
Ooh I like it
Now try an IBM 5251
thank you. I fund it.
I chose low-profile because it feels more ergonomic for my hands to be closer to the desk.
Oh finally!
hey thats pretty good
There should be a linear red switch for low profile keycaps
Otherwise I'm only gonna love regular mechanical keyboard switch😢
low keyboard and low mouse - for my small hands its best... so comfortable
They need to make a 60% of this then I’ll buy one
I like it a lot... Winder how much...
Make a black one and im in.
No compren redragon 💀
These companies are making such NICE and CHEAP keyboards there’s almost no reason to even build a custom keyboard anymore. So many keyboards for less than $100 that are coming with gasket mount, plate foam, case foam etc,hot swap and even aluminum cases.
I think you misheard me it’s the redragon K617!!!
Thats not full aluminum body
Nah, I still like big and heavy keyboards, also like a heavy large mouse to go along with it
