Back in the day it was a federal law that everyone under 40 had to own this album. Well, I don't know that it was ACTUALLY a law, but it sure felt like it.
I owned it a few times over the years, but ya throw parties and sooner or later someone there feels they should own it more than you or borrow and forget to return. . .😳long gone now...not that it matters with the net now
I had this one and my brother had his copy. We were 20-something and related to every song!! I saw Frampton at a small venue in Seattle 25 yrs later and he was great!
@@KellyKasia Yes he opened for the British are coming AKA The British Invasion, I was at the Day On The Green for this incredible lineup in August 1975 at the Oakland Coliseum. Gary Wright, Fleetwood Mac, Dave Mason, Peter Frampton and the headliner was Robin Trower. A show to remember.
I also saw Frampton at Winterland in San Francisco, June 1975 the day after I graduated High School. Brian Auger opened that night. Several songs were recorded that night for the infamous Frampton Comes Alive Album. That show was electrifying!!
Memories... you know that there is a live video of this concert...where I can see a 6 foot tall, 17 yr old blonde beauty in the first couple rows, she was just clapping ,dancing and whistling real loud.... I didn't know her at the time but... I married her about 6 yrs later! So, thanks ya'll for sharing another great reaction...thumbs up for reminding me... what a great live album, right?
I saw Peter Frampton in concert several years ago and he was absolutely amazing. The ladies in the audience were screaming like teenage girls, me included!
Lex is absolutely right about that feeling. It's a feeling that few can understand, because it was before cell phones or social media. It was record albums and 8 tracks. It was muscle cars and cruzing the strip. It was dancing every chance I got. I think I actually might have had grandmas flapjacks while looking out her kitchen window as Baby I love your way played on her radio, and I thought how lucky I was to be alive at that moment. You are blessed Lex. You react to songs the same way I did when I first heard them 50 years ago.
Brad & Lex...Its difficult to explain how "HUGE" this album Comes Alive was in 1976. Mostly we all listened to the radio. You would be at a stop light and this song would be on and EVERYBODY in EVERY car would be singing this song. It was very Cool!!
Lex just being all toooo damn adorable!!!! I never tire of her just going with the moment!!! She is just so joyful to me .. and the perfect add to Brad's stoic and thoughtful ways. Love these two!!!! Great song choice today. Loved it!!! Thanks guys!
Frampton caught lightning in a bottle with this album. Everyone had it. Everyone loved it. There's something on this album for everyone. He was never quite able to capture the magic of this album again, but he's still doing it, and he's still great. The industry kinda chewed him up and spit him out in the late 70s. I'm glad he didn't become jaded and just quit or fade into obscurity.
I totally relate to the way Lex describes her reactions to music videos. Pictures, memories, visions & feelings are what comes up when I hear 60s & 70s music. It takes me back to that era. It's like Lex has a time machine & she's been to the 60s & 70s a few times. It's not a complete mystery. She gets it.
You absolutely have to listen to the whole album; it contains the definitive versions of so many Frampton classics as well as the best ever cover version, IMHO, of Jumping Jack Flash 💙
Absolutely loved this album, wore it out and had to buy another, lol. Peter Frampton is an amazing writer, singer but well known for his guitar playing. Sadly he was over exposed by the industry. He's really a good human being, so I'm glad you like him, and plan to listen to the whole album. Thanks Brad and Lex
Frampton really took off from the live album. Many people hadn't even heard the studio albums that preceded it. Frampton Comes Alive! was a huge phenomena. Lex had the same reaction many of us had when first hearing this.
I used to sing this to my girlfriend in the back seat of my dad's Peugeot - as the 8-track played softly. When the tape was over - it was time to take her home. Such a good memory.
This live album was a huge best seller in 1976 and for a year or two he was just about the biggest star in pop. This song was one of three big singles from the album, the others being Show Me the Way and Do You Feel Like I Do?, which is a rock anthem.
Freshman year in high school - 1976 everyone had this album. Everyone! Another song from the album, "Do you feel like we do", competed with this song for top radio play on KMET out here in Los Angeles. This one actually takes me back.
You nailed it! It takes you back to the 70's and you can be in this generation and get the feeling and experience of what it was like. So cool! I'm 67 Rock On! Also love those love songs
Over the years I've had Frampton Comes Alive on CD, cassette, 8 track and vinyl. I've seen him in live in the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's. Same with a few others like Steve Miller, Boston, Allman Brothers and CCR.
Was born in 1982, my childhood consisted of my mom making my brother and I sing songs like this while they played on the radio and we rode in the backseat. So many great memories. Literally the music of my childhood
Saw him on a Saturday in Austin, day after my Sr. prom 1976...with Gary Dreamweaver Wright, 'merika, Carlos Santana...good times...Love Peter...I Wanna Go to the Sun...
After he left Humble Pie (I Don't Need No Doctor and Stone Cold Fever) Frampton did this live album which remained the top-selling Live Album until Michael Jackson's Live Album (almost 30 yrs later). What a great album and I hope Lex gets her chance to listen to it over and over (maybe after she has breakfast)
He has a great love song ballad called “I’m in you” that I’ve always loved- would love for y’all to react to it-🙂❤️❤️✨ I actually had Cracker Barrel for supper last night! Had a pancakes craving. 😋
My first concert was Peter Frampton Comes Alive tour. It hooked me! I loved going to concerts when I was young. Doobie Bros, Hall & Oates, Stix, Rush, Journey, John Melloncamp, Billy Joel, Aerosmith......good times!
Hey guys what's up! I was about 10 years old when I heard this album. One of my older sisters bought it. And I ended up listening to it more than them. You guys rock! God bless you! Peace!
So glad you checked this out. Such a romantic song. ❤ This is by far the best version of this song, IMO. P.S. There are some other great songs on this album, including Lines on My Face and Do You Feel Like We Do. Both bangers!
YES YES YES!!! Entire Album!! You don't even have to react, just Hear It! It will be with You and Yours forever...I was 21 when this came out, was magical time, I was blessed to see his 25th anniversary tour for this album at the St Augustine amphitheater a few years ago, sounded just like the album and crowd was So into it!!! Great react, as usual!
Love this little hippie girl, Brad you are very luck man to have that free spirit. I like how she thinks, she gets this picture of what she wants it to be and how in her mind she sees the light and the setting as she is watching the morning or evening. It evening because of the fireflies that he sees.
Brings back vivid memories of skating at the roller rink as a 12-year-old in 1976. "Frampton Comes Alive" was a MASSIVE, inescapable presence in the music world at the time. Aaaahhhhhh.....precious memories...!! 😃
Brings back a LOT of memories, cruising or the skating rink, even on the school bus. As others have mentioned, the entire album is a must to listen to. In the movie "Wayne's World" it was referred to saying it was issued in the suburbs.
Lex looks like she's ready to pop...and she's never looked more lovely and radiant. You guys are going through the best days of your married lives and it gets even better. Enjoy it to the fullest.
So don't ... hesiTAY-ee-ate! Lol. It's great to see you guys in your new studio setup after watching that short about the renovations and the rearrangements.
Such a classic song, with a romantic vibe. It's been covered a lot, and back when I was in high school, around 1989, a pop group called Will To Power had a huge hit with their cover version. It's worth a listen as well.
Great reaction! 👍I was 21 and dating my future wife when in 1976 I brought this album. We used to listen to it every night...I'm still with my beautiful wife and still have the vinyl copy of the album.
Lex, I so enjoy your laugh. It is infectious! 💓 Guys, I cannot wait to see what a gorgeous baby you create! Much love and, hey, congrats on the 295K subs!!! 🎉
This was...ah, God...there is music and there is art. This is art.
Back in the day it was a federal law that everyone under 40 had to own this album. Well, I don't know that it was ACTUALLY a law, but it sure felt like it.
Yes it was a law, just dont ask me to find the paperwork
I had this album and ended it up giving it away to a friend in the early 80,s ..still to this day I don't know why I did that 🤔

Had the 8-track
Frampton Comes Alive is one of the best selling live albums of all time. What a great musician he is. Still going strong too.
He did his farewell tour a few years ago… :-(
at least I got to see him live
Lex, feeling like she lived in these old time in her head, is so freaking awesome!
Yeah she was on fire. Can't wait for the Frampton reactions to come.
I think she would like Dream Weaver, by Gary Wright.
@@ub2bn gary wright was on tour as the opening act for peter frampton on this live tour

Yes! Lex, listening to a whole album is the way we did it when they were making the albums back in the day. Bravo again.
This entire album is fantastic. It’s a great album to chill to.
Yep, my music, my time. Great LP.
I remember driving around in my dodge van, with the windows down, with it on full blast.

Yeah. Truly amazing, considering it was a double album. :)
Loves me some frampton

Ha ha too funny GT, You must be from the great Bay Area. I too was at that show at the Coliseum. Full of beautiful California girls.
I saw Peter Frampton in concert several years ago and he was absolutely amazing. The ladies in the audience were screaming like teenage girls, me included!
Right, I've been to many concerts but I have to say Mr. Peter Frampton's was by far the best💫
He did a small AXS TV special recently. Enjoyed it still. 🙂
I saw him a few years ago. He opened for Steve Miller! Great night and yes, my wife was QUITE impressed!😎
I’ve seen Frampton 5 different times in concert back in the early days and later days he never disappoints amazing live
EVERYBODY owned this album back in the 70s. It cut across different musical types from day one.

Every TRUE rocker has this album in their collection. It's Iconic.
Great bass lines. 🎵🎶🎵
Huge 70’s album! This song was taped from a concert at the State University of NY at Plattsburgh.
The look on Brad's face when Lex is doing her explaining how a song makes her feel. So funny, and I love it!
Spectacular talent. Not many sound perfect live; he does.

A great Peter Framton Song. Frampton is telling his girl that he loves everything about her and wants to be with her day and night.
I love Lex's Imagination and Joy of Discovery! Brad and Lex will be Great Parents, a Strong Father and a Joyful Mother!

Lex is glowing. Beautiful woman that she is.❤
For real.
I always love how Lex gets caught up in a lot of music from back in the day. Our music was the best hands down ♥️
A must have classic album on par with dark side of the moon. Every track on Frampton comes alive is a gem.
One of my favs from my youth still with my girl from then 43 years now 💕
The complexity, honesty, irrelevancy, and brilliancy of Lex's breakdowns are beautiful....amazing.

This whole album is a happy feel good listen. One of the best live album's of all time

Owning this album was a requirement 😊 in junior high in ‘76. Not a bad song on the album Drop the needle anywhere album.
Summer between jr. high and high school for me. This album was everywhere, all the time. Soundtrack of the summer. Still takes me right back.
I can imagine young kids asking “What’s a needle?”….. Heck, “What’s an album???!!!”… LOL .. The 70’s was a great time to be alive….

Brad & Lex, for your 4th Frampton song, you’ll love his "I'm in You"!!
Love that song! Especially the 1977 Oakland Colosseum performance

Glad you are still doing reviews Brad and Lex. Thank you for listening "(You're) Having My Baby."
Big Mountain did a slow Reggae style version in the 90’s. Similar vibe. Might have been in a commercial. You guys are a great review team.
One of the greatest (if not the greatest) selling live albums.
Don't forget, Frampton was in Humble Pie, they also had a massive live album.
Performance Rockin' the Fillmore. May 28-29, 1971.
Ahhh, that takes me way back to my younger years. Frampton definitely makes you chill. Great music.
