This is an iconic album. Growing up in LA , Hollywood to be exact , in the 70’s , you would hear this song drifting out of cars and peoples windows . Soundtrack of my childhood …
Everyone had certain albums in high school. The Chronic, Dark side of the moon, Master of Puppets, Slippery when wet, Jar of Flies... Frampton comes alive.
This album came out in the best summer of my life and I’m soon to be 66. The backdrop of the summer of 76 the summer between my junior and senior years of high school Bicentennial year Olympics. Last free summer. The next summer I was in USMC boot camp
The best selling live album for YEARS. The year this came out, you could put the radio on at any time of day and find a station playing a song from it.
I went to his concert in 76, I was 15. At the time it was the most expensive ticket sale, it was a whopping $11.50. I saw Styx and Rush together for 6.50, lol. Gotta love the 70s, and yes I ditched my boyfriend to shimmy my way to the front. Good times✌️❤️🤘
EVERYONE had this album in 1976. So many great songs on this album. You should check out Do You Feel Like We Do (there's a great live version from Midnight Special) and Show Me the Way. He started out in a band called Humble Pie.
All your Frampton songs needs to be reviewer from this double album. Saw this concert back in '76. A fantastic concert. Everyone had this album back then.
Peter 😍 Frampton. First of all, he’s going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, finally! Second, every girl in middle school had this album. Third, he’s a top-tier guitar player. Fourth, he’s still rocking today. And he’s still gorgeous.
I hope this means you're doing the whole album the way it's supposed to be 😘 as long as we are on the Frampton reaction, his cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is unbelievable.
Fun fact: Peter Frampton was discovered by the late great Johnny Winter. Johnny had Frampton open for him, recorded it, and this recording is that concert. I absolutely love the way our greats held each other up and got each other noticed.!
I saw the 1976 tour supporting this album, biggest percentage of women at a concert crowd that I’ve ever seen in my 50 plus years of going to live shows. That little guy had those girls all worked up back then.
Saw him at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia in 1977. I loved it. Lynyrd Skynyrd, J. Geils, Dicky Betts were there as well. There were about 91,000 people there. Best concert ever. I’ve seen Peter Frampton every time he came to Philly or New Jersey. If you get a chance go see him. Not sure if he’s still performing because of health issues, but if he is, go see him. He’s awesome in concert.
Frampton's Camel guys, studio album from '72, some of his best singing/guitar playing (the crying guitar makes it's first appearance) with a killer rhythm section and a killer cover of Stevie Wonder's "I Believe When I Fall in Love With You It Will be Forever" with a thousand Peters doing backing vox. Peter also played lead guitar on Who bassist John Entwistle's solo album Whistle Rhymes the same year, a good album with insane lyrics (in a snide way).
My favorite from this 1976 ICONIC Live Album recorded at the Winterland Ballroom in 1975 are I’ll Give You Money and Peter alone on acoustic guitar singing By Your Side .
We had a ton of live albums come out between 1974-1978, or so. This one, Live Killers - Queen, Made in Japan - Deep Purple, Live at Budokhan - Cheap Trick, Live Bullet - Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Songs From the Wood - Jethro Tull and prog rock favorites Yessongs -Yes and Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends - Emerson, Lake and Palmer to name the ones in my record cabinet.
And here's one that never gets mentioned from 1976: The Billy Cobham-George Duke Band live on tour in Europe. I've never seen anybody react to that album, and it is a banger! Had that album, lost it. Oh well.
Saturday night fever sound track and Frampton Comes Alive was in everyone’s collection in 77, 78 or there about. I’m so old I can’t keep track but these were huge. Also Fleetwood Mac Rumors. A staple of everyone’s collection!
I remember the time wh 4:45 en I was in a small Wisconsin town staying a week with my grandparents, and young people were gassing up to drive into the Twin Cities to go see Peter Frampton! This was 1976 and I was 15 at the time!
This song is in my top 20 of all time. At the time it was popular, I was madly in love with a friend of mine and I thought of her every time he sang, “Ooh baby I love your way.” One of the most romantic songs ever, IMO. (Another would be “I Just Wanna Stop” by Gino Vanelli.)
I remember rocking out to this the summer going into my senior year during the 1976 Montreal Olympics how’s that for fun? Great great song love this album.
This is one of the big reasons for Punk rock, went to high school, with Hendrix, Dylan, Joplin, the Doors, gradated high school and rock 'n roll was Frampton and Bad Co., thank god for Johnny Rotten, the Ramones, Wire, Talking Heads...punk saved rock 'n roll from the corporate doom patrol. I had to play this in a band, told them if I do it, then we have to play 'Sister Ray'
Everyone had Frampton Comes Alive! back in the day.
True!
When this album came out girls everywhere looked at their boyfriends thinking "why can't you look like him"
For real
I still have it😃
Great live album for sure, wish I still had mine.
This song is such a timeless vibe. Love this so much.
This is an iconic album. Growing up in LA , Hollywood to be exact , in the 70’s , you would hear this song drifting out of cars and peoples windows . Soundtrack of my childhood …
One of the sweetest love songs
Frampton touring 2025 💜💜💜
"If you lived in the suburbs in the 70s this album was issued to you!"
Waynes World
Everyone had certain albums in high school. The Chronic, Dark side of the moon, Master of Puppets, Slippery when wet, Jar of Flies... Frampton comes alive.
One of the best live albums ever recorded! Imo..
This was the biggest selling record of its time. The sound of the mid 70’s.
This album came out in the best summer of my life and I’m soon to be 66. The backdrop of the summer of 76 the summer between my junior and senior years of high school Bicentennial year Olympics. Last free summer. The next summer I was in USMC boot camp
Frampton was on top of the world in the late 1970's....he was on the radio constantly. Great great times.
Saved my allowance to buy this album. 😊
Yes! I had a ginormous life sized poster of him on my ceiling. I was 10. 😂
I'm still crushing on Peter Frampton after all these years ❤😂
Me too! He’s still beautiful without hair. 🥰
@@kathiek4239 yes he is!!!

Back to a time when radio was great and music mattered !
this still stands out after all these years !
that electric piano solo is sooooo beautiful....
I love watching your reviews because you guys give natural reactions and you don't take all day to get to the point.
If I wrote a song like this I would never fight with my Woman ever again 😔
The best selling live album for YEARS. The year this came out, you could put the radio on at any time of day and find a station playing a song from it.
Peter Frampton is a phenomenal guitarist. His album, Frampton comes alive just blew up. In today's language it went viral!!!
When was 15, my mother and I bought each other this album for Christmas. That's how popular this album was.
The 1970's had a lot of great live albums, and this was one of the best ones.I saw Peter with Santana and Gary Wright in 1976,it was a great concert.
One of the greatest live albums ever made. Every song was great.
He's still rocking at 74. Saw him last year and he played almost 3 hours of every hit he had
This is a Frampton song that people like when they aren't Frampton or Humble Pie fans.💯🤷
Humble Pie, .....
@@seanh4841Yaaeees! Humble Pie is STILL one of my favorites ❤ for 50plus years. Party on..🤘🏼👍🏼
Huh? You can like this song and like Peter Frampton…and Humble Pie…all at the same time.
I love this song from the 70’s my favorite music . Thank you both.
The best-selling, live album, ever
EVERYONE had this album in 1976. So many great songs on this album. You should check out Do You Feel Like We Do (there's a great live version from Midnight Special) and Show Me the Way. He started out in a band called Humble Pie.
He was actually in the Herd prior to Humble Pie
Yep, definitely agree on Do You Feel Like We Do and Show Me the Way, Awesome tunes
@@jennyclark5232 Yeah- I just thought I'd go with the band that would be more familiar.
This entire phenomenon remains inexplicable.
My first concert ever, 1977 I think, Frampton Comes Alive tour. The biggest show in the world at the time
Yup, I saw him at the Forum in Inglewood, California!
A fantastic live album. This is my childhood in the 70’s . “ Lines on my face” has some great guitar parts on it but not as well known
I saw Peter Frampton in 76 in Philadelphia with YES
That musta been a damned good show...
Great tune, great live album. #ROCKON
We all had this album!! It was the 70’s and he was in a class of his own. He brought a new sound to us teenagers.
Frampton Comes Alive!!❤❤❤❤
What a tasty band. Total pros.
We all had this album when I was 12 years old. It's still great ❤
Fun watching you guys being so into the song, that you don’t pause to react. You ARE reacting. 😂
Still one of the most beautiful rock songs ever put to paper & an amplifier.
All your Frampton songs needs to be reviewer from this double album. Saw this concert back in '76. A fantastic concert. Everyone had this album back then.
Instant FM radio hit. Was played constantly and the chorus is money !
First real concert I ever went too was Frampton at Madison Sq Garden in 76.. I had just turned 14.. The first of hundreds of shows...
Gorgeous song 💓💓💓
Peter 😍 Frampton. First of all, he’s going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, finally! Second, every girl in middle school had this album. Third, he’s a top-tier guitar player. Fourth, he’s still rocking today. And he’s still gorgeous.
Any Frampton reminds me of the skating rink days when those songs were fresh.
There is a Live Video here in UA-cam, from San Francisco, California, in 1977, i like it more the Studio Version.
Love this song! Frampton did an acoustic version of this song in 2016 at NPR's Tiny Desk Concert. He's still got the voice!
I am a fan of Tiny Desk and will have to look for that session.
I hope this means you're doing the whole album the way it's supposed to be 😘 as long as we are on the Frampton reaction, his cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is unbelievable.
Best cover of that song ever!
From this album: 1) Do you feel like we do; 2) Jumpin Jack Flash; 3) Shine On.
Fun fact: Peter Frampton was discovered by the late great Johnny Winter.
Johnny had Frampton open for him, recorded it, and this recording is that concert.
I absolutely love the way our greats held each other up and got each other noticed.!
I was in love with this man back in the good old days😊❤
Frampton was at the Eric Claptons " CrossRoads Festival ".
I saw the 1976 tour supporting this album, biggest percentage of women at a concert crowd that I’ve ever seen in my 50 plus years of going to live shows.

Great album!! Keep up with the great reactions, fellas !!!
I was headed into junior high school when this album premiered. Every girl I knew was crushing on him. His songs were played at every school dance.
My older sisters were obsessed with Frampton when this came out!
Mid 70’s, we all had this album. This particular cut, is just such a beautiful Love Song. ❤
My favorite from this 1976 ICONIC Live Album recorded at the Winterland Ballroom in 1975 are I’ll Give You Money and Peter alone on acoustic guitar singing By Your Side .
We weren't waving our arms, We had our lighters out!!
I saw him play lead for Bowie 15 rows back and was a highlight for sure. Love Frampton
Now that's classic 70s Rock and Roll foreshore / forever 👍👍❤️
An iconic single from Peter Frampton. And I do mean iconic. I remember the dudes fronting his hair during this run. A great song!
Everyone had this double album because it was popular AND it was priced for only $1 or $2 more than a single album. 💜💜💜
Great Album !!!! Mandatory listening for my generation back in the day !!!!!
I couldn’t get to the record store fast enough to buy Frampton comes alive album when it came out lol
I saw him in concert in 1976 with Gary Wright (Dream weaver) opening for him, both great performances and ticket was $6 ❤
We had a ton of live albums come out between 1974-1978, or so. I bought this album as soon as it came out, played it so I almost wore it out!
Saw this tour in Frankfurt Germany in 76, Gary Wright opened for Frampton.
Woohoo love this song so much ❤❤
Summertime vibes!!
What an album, WE HAD THE BEST MUSIC!!!!! 🎉

Great song
That was the, Time to leave the club, song back in my day. 77/78
The incomparable Bob Mayo (RIP) on keys!
Came with Yes to JFK stadium in Philly '73
Remember in the 70's getting 5 albums for 99 cents from RCA using my dads name.Chose Frampton Comes Alive! I don't think I ever paid the full price.😁
He was in a movie with the Bee Gees and it killed his career with the his core rock fans. Back then it was disco vs. Rock.🤘
You ought to do more from this live album, particularly Show Me the Way & the epic, Do You Feel Like We Do.
Takes me back to the roller skating rink.....I'm 12 years old again. Where does the time go?
He was also in Humble Pie
It was mandatory to own this album in 1976....🤣
This song is in my top 20 of all time. At the time it was popular, I was madly in love with a friend of mine and I thought of her every time he sang, “Ooh baby I love your way.” One of the most romantic songs ever, IMO. (Another would be “I Just Wanna Stop” by Gino Vanelli.)
He is a very good guitarist.
My Aunt had it and my Bro had a Poster, she taped it for him.
Then She bought him Peter Frampton .....I'M IN YOU" '77
IT DIDN'T SELL AS WELL !!
High School memories flowing
I remember rocking out to this the summer going into my senior year during the 1976 Montreal Olympics how’s that for fun? Great great song love this album.
Can't lose with that album.that song was definitely on one of my lite rock mixtapes😅
Its orobably hard for anyone under 60 or so to understand how big Frampton was for a relatively short time in the late 70's.
Can you imagine how he felt having to follow Lynard Skynard at the show in Oakland???
Why do you think all the girls were there?
@@kathiek4239 NICE 😊

Frampton Comes Alive t shirts were everywhere 👍
You have to review Peter Frampton - Can't Take That Away (Live In Detroit). You will LOVE it! Guaranteed!!!
I used to play the song Do You Feel Like We Do on the jukebox at the pool hall...I got my quarters worth out of that song!
True. We had Frampton. I thought he was the best guitarist at the time but I was too young to have heard all the greats yet
