I genuinely think that Rockstar should do a GTA game based in the DMV. It’s got Washington DC, Baltimore, the Chesapeake Bay, beaches, the Appalachians, etc.
I think they should also do one in Arizona eventually. Arizona is an incredibly beautiful and crazy state and more geographically diverse than most people realize. I think there could be some crazy mission ideas in Arizona especially if they included the grand canyon, like a helicopter fight over the grand canyon would go crazy. I'd love to see how they represent flagstaff and sedona too. Also the map road trips that I would do in gta 5 would be great in Arizona. I'm not from Arizona but I visit Arizona often because my boyfriend lives there and I absolutely love Arizona.
@@ExtremeWreck Or let’s hope the Crew 3 comes first and that the map is even more expansive. Some, though not me, would say any game in DC would count since DC and Maryland are so closely linked culturally. But me personally, I really want a game with some presence on the Eastern Shore. North Carolina dude here: One mission in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag takes you to North Carolina to witness the historic death of Edward "Blackbeard" Teach, and the training mission for Call of Duty World At War's PlayStation 2 spinoff "Final Fronts" takes place in the Tar Heel State. I also had an old PS1 racing game (I think it was called Test Drive) that had a course on the Blue Ridge Parkway (which also spans into Virginia). Other than that, can't say I've played anything else involving my state. Assassin's Creed III did let you send your recruits there to help fight the Revolutionary War, but that's about it. Edit: Pretty sure one or even a few of the aforementioned AC3 recruit missions dealt with Governor Tryon and the "Regulators," which was a short rebellion that took place in Alamance County, NC a few years before the American Revolution.

That’s actually pretty sick, I’m from NH, lived here my whole life and never heard of a game based off here, never would’ve thought there would be one honestly. This was a pretty dope video, keep it up man!!
I should mention that New Hampshire is also represented in racing games. There is Maple Valley Raceway in the _Forza Motorsport_ series, which is a fictitious racetrack stated to be in New Hampshire, and the _real-life_ racetrack New Hampshire Motor Speedway (also known by its former name New Hampshire International Speedway) in Loudon that has appeared in several NASCAR video games.
I don’t typically comment, but after seeing this was a reupload i wanted to help get the youtube impressions ball rolling! This video was great! Keep it up!
Okay seriously, game developers: please consider making a game set in North Carolina. We have mountains, islands, plains, swamps, bustling cities, charming small towns, and some of the absolutely most terrifying haunted and supernatural locations in the country. It already has everything you’d need for a compelling open world map, or a creepy survival horror game. Imagine turning the Biltmore Estate into a stealth game map a la Hitman.

Sir, I applaud you for putting the list with time stamps for each state in the description. I'm sure like me the first thing people will want to do is see what games feature their state. LOL I'm in Louisiana, New Orleans by the way. San Denis is an interesting take on our city. Although fictional San Denis shows the style of the buildings design with it's alleys and squared off bulldogs with courtyards in the middle very well. You can still see much of those styles in the French Quarter.
The Crew 2 has 48 of the 50 states in game (it is missing hawaii and alaska ) But the crew motorfest takes place Only in Hawaii(i think) yes i fact checked it’s O’ahu Hawaii
As an Arizonan, I loved your take, seeing it set on fire was beyond funny cause that’s how it feels. It currently October and our average temp this week is in the 90s with lows in the 70s.
Someone has probably said it, but as a native Pittsburgher I am obligated to mention that two massive AAA titles "The Last of Us" and the Fallout 3 DLC "The Pitt" both take place in my hometown. Last of Us might be a road trip game, but the stuff in the Greater Pittsburgh Area takes up ~1/5 of the total runtime so it definitely counts.
I just found your channel and I like your style! Can’t wait to see whatever you make next! Also I’m happy Vermont didn’t have much that place is nothing but trouble fr

For Michigan, as a Michigander, two of the games I played growing up took place here, Midnight Club 3 in Detroit and Evil Dead in Dearborn. The Dearborn depicted looks nothing like it of course, I was in Dearborn when I played it thinkng "this is Dearborn?"
In the early 2000s I played a video game at a scary arcade in Chinatown where you race a taxi. The New York stage was surprisngly realistic in its geography and included a spot where you drove down a street right near the arcade.
I've lived in Indiana my entire life; I had no idea over the hedge took place in Indiana. Also, I have never encountered a bear in Indiana. I don't think they even live here at least not anymore lol. This was a super fun video to watch
played that one for a good bit. i got to a particular spot where you were basically forced to do time attacks, tho, and i just got stuck. i love racing games, but im not great at them, especially when theres specific timing involved.
I loved this video sm! It was a nice vid to sit and relax too! Though I have some things to mention. Fallout 3 has some parts that take place in Maryland, so I’m sorry to say you didn’t have to pick a horror game of which you don’t like😭. Also if I’m not mistaken I believe the Blair witch legend that took place in Burkittsville was a sorta wide spread story in that area way before the movie, in fact the people at the beginning of the movie were real citizens they like picked up. So it’s not that the movie picked a random area to base it on, it’s an actual urban legend that goes far back.
They did arkansas so dirty. Why did they do this for my state. I would have even accepted a farming game but damn its not even a real town either. We always get looked over for everything.😢😢😢😢 the songs a jam though
I respect that you went for games that no one has heard of. I'm kinda the same way where I make things harder on myself for no reason, so I understand. Good movie, 10/10 sidenote: Robocop is really good, you gotta watch it.
The Hitman 2 mission "Whittleton Creek" is also set in Vermont and is probably the most detailed depiction of the State in gaming even though it's just a neighborhood.
I was going to say the same thing. I lived in Memphis from 2013-2016, and went down to Clarkdale a few times, and it is nothing like that game. It’s really a shame too, because it’s a pretty cool small town. I’ve always thought of it as a miniature Memphis. I’m also shocked that there weren’t more games set in Tennessee.
The answer to why North Dakota was an early state to get educational video games is that ND places a lot of emphasis on public education, with abnormally well funded schools for the midwest. That Carmen Sandiego game was actually a collaboration between an arm of the ND state government and Broderbund.
Went camping for a few days on MT. Charleston while I was waiting for the keys to a new apartment. Started a camp fire and played New Vegas on my big screen out of the back of the SUV. Made Charleston my base of operations in the game. Peak Immersion.
I'm from Europe, and I recently visited San Francisco. Like many guys, I played a lot of GTA San Andreas. It was mind-blowing to see Lombard Street (Windy Windy Windy Windy Street in GTA SA) and the Golden Gate Bridge in real life. The building beneath the Golden Gate Bridge actually exists in GTA SA, which made me realize just how much detail went into the game. I also visited Santa Monica Beach, which was surreal to see in person after knowing it from the game since I was 12!

Lol, love the video! Btw, "Mobile" isn't pronounce like "Mobile Phone" its pronounced like Mobeel...if that makes sense, lol.
i usually dont watch these types of videos especially the long ones, but i had a blast watching this, youre good at what you doo keep up the content man!❤
1:26:37 Faith is actually Joseph Seed's step-sister, not daughter. They're siblings.
This was a fantastic video! The idea is just top notch and it was very entertaining.
Infamous 2 is New Orleans, right?
Me tooooo
Nevadan here, I know a game that could not only let you visit every states, but country. That game is Microsoft flight simulator 2020
Road 96 is a good game, where you travel through fictional America (Petria).
Vermonter checking in. Yea, the second game is basically all we do here :']
Jesus not taking mafia 3 for louisiana is crazy
I know it’s just a tiny fraction of the game but the introduction mission of gta 5 North Yankton, is based on North Dakota.
I always thought north yankton was canada because trevor is Canadian
I just found your channel and I like your style! Can’t wait to see whatever you make next! Also I’m happy Vermont didn’t have much that place is nothing but trouble fr
2:14 you speaking my language my friend
Great video Skyler. Now you see why we play ATS/ETS2 lol.
I might be late, but yes half life 1 directly tells you black Mesa is in New Mexico in the intro sequence
For California I would have chosen Watch Dogs 2 but it’s cool that you chose Watch Dogs 1 one for Illinois. Far Cry 5 Is One Of My Favorite Games I’ve Beaten The Game Multiple Times.
Far cry 5 is on my top 5
Dude, thanks so much for making this video. I ALWAYS wondered this, especially bc i didn't know of any games taking place in New Mexico!! I'm definitely gonna play a lot of these!
Breaking bad
GAMES!
First full vid I watched in a long time
54:30 There's no active black bear population in Indiana.... Thanks Over The Hedge
Native tennesseen, lived in Louisville for a bit tho. Hearing you say the name hurts lol
Great video tho! Great to see some spotlight on games that deserve it
For Michigan, as a Michigander, two of the games I played growing up took place here, Midnight Club 3 in Detroit and Evil Dead in Dearborn. The Dearborn depicted looks nothing like it of course, I was in Dearborn when I played it thinkng "this is Dearborn?"
Deus Ex Human Revolution also takes place in Detroit iirc.
In the early 2000s I played a video game at a scary arcade in Chinatown where you race a taxi. The New York stage was surprisngly realistic in its geography and included a spot where you drove down a street right near the arcade.
Not mentioning Forza Horizon for Colorado is so DISrespectful
real
Which one? FH4 is England and FH5 is Mexico or something. FH1,2,3 no longer exist, yeah, cars, FH4 won't exist in one more month either.
Ohio having such a weird game is so fitting. Loved the vid
3:30 LMAAAOOOO AS A BLACK MAN I CHOKED ON MY NOODLES LAUGHING 😂😂😂😂😂😂
for me it was that and Neil’s line after that made me chuckle
Dude caught me so off guard
Prey really does have one of the best intros ever. Painfully overlooked. Glad you to experience it totally blind.
Is that really all you can find for Arkansas? explain America EXPLAIN!
Arkansas would be perfect for a GTA or Forza style game
Arkansas is shit so that's not a surprise
@@wyattbarkley absolutely
I really hope people actually understand your joke 😂😂😂😂😂
@@juandigiorno5133 😜
I've lived in Indiana my entire life; I had no idea over the hedge took place in Indiana. Also, I have never encountered a bear in Indiana. I don't think they even live here at least not anymore lol. This was a super fun video to watch
One of my favorite games was Midnight club 3 dub edition, I'm from San Diego but live near Atl now, both locations are in the game
played that one for a good bit. i got to a particular spot where you were basically forced to do time attacks, tho, and i just got stuck. i love racing games, but im not great at them, especially when theres specific timing involved.
Damn dude how long did u spend on this video. Epic. New subscriber for the effort. I don't really even play video games anymore.
"I'd be surprised if anyone from New Hampshire is even watching this video" Meanwhile me watching this in NH 😂😂💀💀
I felt the gut punch from his comments about Arizona 😂
I like the idea of a “state video game” in the same way we have a stats bird or tree. Good stuff sir!
I'm from Idaho. Someone finally mentioned us hooray
That game series definitely deserves more attention
I loved this video sm! It was a nice vid to sit and relax too! Though I have some things to mention. Fallout 3 has some parts that take place in Maryland, so I’m sorry to say you didn’t have to pick a horror game of which you don’t like😭. Also if I’m not mistaken I believe the Blair witch legend that took place in Burkittsville was a sorta wide spread story in that area way before the movie, in fact the people at the beginning of the movie were real citizens they like picked up. So it’s not that the movie picked a random area to base it on, it’s an actual urban legend that goes far back.
0:40 Why is delaware always getting attacked. leave us alone😭
Fr bro I don’t understand the disrespect😭
😭
We a small ass state but still find a way to hype it up
Yeah, I don’t understand it either my grandparents live in Delaware and I basically live with them over the summers so yeah it’s disrespect
Haha. No sales taxes and gambling 🎰
My home state of Louisiana - InFamous 2
Where it takes place: New Marais, a fictional comic-book-eque New Orleans
They did arkansas so dirty. Why did they do this for my state. I would have even accepted a farming game but damn its not even a real town either. We always get looked over for everything.😢😢😢😢 the songs a jam though
I respect that you went for games that no one has heard of. I'm kinda the same way where I make things harder on myself for no reason, so I understand. Good movie, 10/10
sidenote: Robocop is really good, you gotta watch it.
New Hampshire here... I dont know what we do here either.
New Hampshire roams far
I know it's sad all we get is a hunting game
@@JordanCormier-kt6np well also there aint shit in new Hampshire besides good Chinese food and clam chowder
We have... Granite?
There's Bully, which supposedly takes place in a fictional version or Portsmouth.
The Hitman 2 mission "Whittleton Creek" is also set in Vermont and is probably the most detailed depiction of the State in gaming even though it's just a neighborhood.
Wait bro, did you go to Starcade in Minnesota! I've been to that exact arcade, and I was a great time.
That’s the one!
@@Skylerbuns That's cool!
Can't wait to see how he makes this interesting since the crew exists.
I’m from Clarksdale, Mississippi The Crew did us dirty lol, town in game looks no where remotely even close to our town irl
That Carmen Sandiego game was actually a collaboration between an arm of the ND state government and Broderbund.
legit really good idea
Went camping for a few days on MT. Charleston while I was waiting for the keys to a new apartment. Started a camp fire and played New Vegas on my big screen out of the back of the SUV. Made Charleston my base of operations in the game. Peak Immersion.
1:10:46 I lost my shit when that guy called himself Buick Riviera lmao
I'm from Europe, and I recently visited San Francisco. Like many guys, I played a lot of GTA San Andreas. It was mind-blowing to see Lombard Street (Windy Windy Windy Windy Street in GTA SA) and the Golden Gate Bridge in real life. The building beneath the Golden Gate Bridge actually exists in GTA SA, which made me realize just how much detail went into the game. I also visited Santa Monica Beach, which was surreal to see in person after knowing it from the game since I was 12!
