Gotham Shitty Impoosters came out on Games for Gold at one point in like 2014-15 so I had a bit of casual fun on it. I called it that but it was actually a well made game, and I too haven't watched a Batman movie..

I watched someone else play dead games and they ran into the same jhon wick so either he’s a real player who plays all the time or he’s an advanced bot

Cod 1 and Cod 2 have fairly big playerbases, but they mostly play on private servers/alternate servers. Just like Demons Souls on PS3 has some fairly big private servers you can join.
COD 1 was the true cod. Played it on release. You had no red dots and lasers. Iron sights for all (like real men) and you couldn't only use the weapons specific to a country. It was awesome. The story of cod 1 was Band of Brothers. (101st easy company)
Good sir! I loved call of duty when it came out in 2003! So many hours of fun and enjoyment! Then the second one came out and they added the tanks which was great!
Absolutely loved the original COD multiplayer. I was 13 when it came out. I remember mowing lawns to purchase an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro graphics card to slap in my parents HP Pavilion just so I could play it. Those were the days when integrated graphics were on the motherboard instead of the CPU itself. Compatibility was extremely hit or miss. A dedicated graphics card was pretty much a requirement if you wanted to play "big box" games. 😂😂
There's an alternate version of Gotham city imposters free to play on PC called Gotham city imposters free for everyone (F4E) which you don't need to own it previously
I was a big Battalion player back in the day. The game was a banger, all the old CoD4 promod players migrated to this game, and we would play pubs every single night. A major tournament happened too ! But the devs lied to the community, abandonned the game for like 2-3 years and came back with a big update that added everything we asked/made the game free to play......... when everybody already left. We all moved on to other games, the majority of the old guys went back to CoD4 promod etc... God, I loved the first game's bot stuff. Like, it is such an amazing concept. Imagine, about 60 bots and like 40 players in war game But if players all leave and never came back, but the server kept running Even if there is no player to entertain, bots will still be there to fight, lose, win, die and respawn FOREVER. Now, it's not really much because it's simple and dumb bots, but what if it was actual AI with memories and feelings? Overwhelming amount of stories, heartbreaks, battles and sieges, death and conflicts, only for them to not be witnessed by anybody, but the AI players themselves. In eternal purgatory created by humans for their entertainment, salvation is nonexistant and suffering is infinite, but once again, the bots pull the trigger because that is what they are for - and always will be.
I believe there is still a quite a decent community of people playing COD 1 cracked online. I used to play it regularly as well but I have played in over decade but I talked to a friend recently who told me that people do play it still.
